Psalms 94

1 LORD, you God to whom vengeance belongs, you God to whom vengeance belongs, shine out.

JEHOVÁ, Dios de las venganzas, Dios de las venganzas, muéstrate.

2 Rise up, you judge of the earth. Pay back the proud what they deserve.

Ensálzate, oh Juez de la tierra: da el pago á los soberbios.

3 LORD, how long will the wicked, how long will the wicked triumph?

¿Hasta cuándo los impíos, hasta cuándo, oh Jehová, se gozarán los impíos?

4 They pour out arrogant words. All the evildoers boast.

¿Hasta cuándo pronunciarán, hablarán cosas duras, y se vanagloriarán todos los que obran iniquidad?

5 They break your people in pieces, LORD, and afflict your heritage.

A tu pueblo, oh Jehová, quebrantan, y á tu heredad afligen.

6 They kill the widow and the alien, and murder the fatherless.

A la viuda y al extanjero matan, y á los huérfanos quitan la vida.

7 They say, “The LORD will not see, neither will Jacob’s God consider.”

Y dijeron: No verá JAH, ni entenderá el Dios de Jacob.

8 Consider, you senseless among the people; you fools, when will you be wise?

Entended, necios del pueblo; y vosotros fatuos, ¿cuándo seréis sabios?

9 He who implanted the ear, won’t he hear? He who formed the eye, won’t he see?

El que plantó el oído, ¿no oirá? el que formó el ojo, ¿no verá?

10 He who disciplines the nations, won’t he punish? He who teaches man knows.

El que castiga las gentes, ¿no reprenderá? ¿no sabrá el que enseña al hombre la ciencia?

11 The LORD knows the thoughts of man, that they are futile.

Jehová conoce los pensamientos de los hombres, que son vanidad.

12 Blessed is the man whom you discipline, LORD, and teach out of your Torah,

Bienaventurado el hombre á quien tú, JAH, castigares, y en tu ley lo instruyeres;

13 that you may give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit is dug for the wicked.

Para tranquilizarle en los días de aflicción, en tanto que para el impío se cava el hoyo.

14 For the LORD won’t reject his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

Porque no dejará Jehová su pueblo, ni desamparará su heredad;

15 For judgment will return to righteousness. All the upright in heart shall follow it.

Sino que el juicio será vuelto á justicia, y en pos de ella irán todos los rectos de corazón.

16 Who will rise up for me against the wicked? Who will stand up for me against the evildoers?

¿Quién se levantará por mí contra los malignos? ¿quién estará por mí contra los que obran iniquidad?

17 Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul would have soon lived in silence.

Si no me ayudara Jehová, presto morara mi alma en el silencio.

18 When I said, “My foot is slipping!” Your loving kindness, LORD, held me up.

Cuando yo decía: Mi pie resbala: tu misericordia, oh Jehová, me sustentaba.

19 In the multitude of my thoughts within me, your comforts delight my soul.

En la multitud de mis pensamientos dentro de mí, tus consolaciones alegraban mi alma.

20 Shall the throne of wickedness have fellowship with you, which brings about mischief by statute?

¿Juntaráse contigo el trono de iniquidades, que forma agravio en el mandamiento?

21 They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

Pónense en corros contra la vida del justo, y condenan la sangre inocente.

22 But the LORD has been my high tower, my God, the rock of my refuge.

Mas Jehová me ha sido por refugio; y mi Dios por roca de mi confianza.

23 He has brought on them their own iniquity, and will cut them off in their own wickedness. The LORD, our God, will cut them off.

Y él hará tornar sobre ellos su iniquidad, y los destruirá por su propia maldad; los talará Jehová nuestro Dios.
