Psalms 116

1 I love the LORD, because he listens to my voice, and my cries for mercy.

AMO á Jehová, pues ha oído mi voz y mis súplicas.

2 Because he has turned his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live.

Porque ha inclinado á mí su oído, invocaré[le] por tanto en todos mis días.

3 The cords of death surrounded me, the pains of Sheol got a hold of me. I found trouble and sorrow. (Sheol h7585)

Rodeáronme los dolores de la muerte, me encontraron las angustias del sepulcro: angustia y dolor había yo hallado. (Sheol h7585)

4 Then I called on the LORD’s name: “LORD, I beg you, deliver my soul.”

Entonces invoqué el nombre de Jehová, [diciendo]: Libra ahora, oh Jehová, mi alma.

5 The LORD is gracious and righteous. Yes, our God is merciful.

Clemente es Jehová y justo; sí, misericordioso es nuestro Dios.

6 The LORD preserves the simple. I was brought low, and he saved me.

Jehová guarda á los sinceros: estaba yo postrado, y salvóme.

7 Return to your rest, my soul, for the LORD has dealt bountifully with you.

Vuelve, oh alma mía, á tu reposo; porque Jehová te ha hecho bien.

8 For you have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.

Pues tú has librado mi alma de la muerte, mis ojos de lágrimas, [y] mis pies de desbarrar.

9 I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.

Andaré delante de Jehová en la tierra de los vivientes.

10 I believed, therefore I said, “I was greatly afflicted.”

Creí; por tanto hablé, estando afligido en gran manera.

11 I said in my haste, “All people are liars.”

Y dije en mi apresuramiento: Todo hombre es mentiroso.

12 What will I give to the LORD for all his benefits toward me?

¿Qué pagaré á Jehová por todos sus beneficios para conmigo?

13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call on the LORD’s name.

Tomaré la copa de la salud, é invocaré el nombre de Jehová.

14 I will pay my vows to the LORD, yes, in the presence of all his people.

Ahora pagaré mis votos á Jehová delante de todo su pueblo.

15 Precious in the LORD’s sight is the death of his holy ones.

Estimada es en los ojos de Jehová la muerte de sus santos.

16 LORD, truly I am your servant. I am your servant, the son of your servant girl. You have freed me from my chains.

Oh Jehová, que yo soy tu siervo, yo tu siervo, hijo de tu sierva: rompiste mis prisiones.

17 I will offer to you the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call on the LORD’s name.

Te ofreceré sacrificio de alabanza, é invocaré el nombre de Jehová.

18 I will pay my vows to the LORD, yes, in the presence of all his people,

A Jehová pagaré ahora mis votos delante de todo su pueblo;

19 in the courts of the LORD’s house, in the middle of you, Jerusalem. Praise the LORD!

En los atrios de la casa de Jehová, en medio de ti, oh Jerusalem. Aleluya.
