Matthew 17
1 After six days, Yeshua took with him Peter, Jacob, and Yochanan his brother, and brought them up into a high mountain by themselves.
ಯೇಸು ಆರು ದಿನಗಳಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪೇತ್ರ, ಯಾಕೋಬ, ಅವನ ಸಹೋದರ ಯೋಹಾನನನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕವಾಗಿ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಎತ್ತರವಾದ ಒಂದು ಬೆಟ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದರು.
2 He was changed before them. His face shone like the sun, and his garments became as white as the light.
ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಯೇಸು ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ರೂಪಾಂತರಗೊಂಡರು. ಅವರ ಮುಖವು ಸೂರ್ಯನಂತೆ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಿಸಿತು. ಅವರ ಉಡುಪು ಬೆಳಕಿನಂತೆ ಬೆಳಗಿತು.
3 Behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them talking with him.
ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಮೋಶೆಯೂ ಎಲೀಯನೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಯೇಸುವಿನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
4 Peter answered and said to Yeshua, “Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you want, let’s make three tents here: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”
ಪೇತ್ರನು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ, “ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನಾವು ಇಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇರುವುದು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು. ನಿಮಗೆ ಮನಸ್ಸಿದ್ದರೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೊಂದು, ಮೋಶೆಗೊಂದು, ಎಲೀಯನಿಗೊಂದರಂತೆ ಮೂರು ಗುಡಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುವೆನು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
5 While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them. Behold, a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Listen to him.”
ಪೇತ್ರನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗಲೇ, ಪ್ರಕಾಶಮಾನವಾದ ಮೇಘವು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕವಿಯಿತು. ಆಗ, “ಈತನು ಪ್ರಿಯನಾಗಿರುವ ನನ್ನ ಮಗನು. ಈತನನ್ನು ನಾನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಈತನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ನೀವು ಕೇಳಿರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಮೇಘದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಒಂದು ಧ್ವನಿ ಕೇಳಿತು.
6 When the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces, and were very afraid.
ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಹೆದರಿ ಬೋರಲು ಬಿದ್ದರು.
7 Yeshua came and touched them and said, “Get up, and don’t be afraid.”
ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ಬಂದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟಿ, “ಏಳಿರಿ, ಹೆದರಬೇಡಿರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
8 Lifting up their eyes, they saw no one, except Yeshua alone.
ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣೆತ್ತಿ ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನೇ ಹೊರತು ಮತ್ತಾರನ್ನೂ ಕಾಣಲಿಲ್ಲ.
9 As they were coming down from the mountain, Yeshua commanded them, saying, “Don’t tell anyone what you saw, until the Son of Man has risen from the dead.”
ಅವರು ಬೆಟ್ಟದಿಂದ ಇಳಿದು ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ, ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಮನುಷ್ಯಪುತ್ರನಾದ ನಾನು ಸತ್ತವರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಎದ್ದು ಬರುವವರೆಗೆ ಈ ದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಹೇಳಬಾರದು,” ಎಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದರು.
10 His disciples asked him, saying, “Then why do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?”
ಆಗ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಎಲೀಯನು ಮೊದಲು ಬರುವುದು ಅಗತ್ಯವೆಂದು ನಿಯಮ ಬೋಧಕರು ಏಕೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
11 Yeshua answered them, “Elijah indeed comes first, and will restore all things;
ಯೇಸು ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಎಲೀಯನು ಮೊದಲು ಬಂದು ಎಲ್ಲವುಗಳನ್ನು ಪುನಃ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುವುದು ನಿಜವೇ.
12 but I tell you that Elijah has come already, and they didn’t recognize him, but did to him whatever they wanted to. Even so the Son of Man will also suffer by them.”
ಆದರೆ ಎಲೀಯನು ಆಗಲೇ ಬಂದಾಯಿತು; ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಅರಿಯದೆ ತಮಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟಬಂದಂತೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾಯಿತು. ಅದರಂತೆಯೇ ಮನುಷ್ಯಪುತ್ರನಾದ ನಾನು ಸಹ ಅವರಿಂದ ಕಷ್ಟವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವೆನು ಎಂದು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ,” ಎಂದರು.
13 Then the disciples understood that he spoke to them of Yochanan the Immerser.
ಸ್ನಾನಿಕ ಯೋಹಾನನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೇಸು ತಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದನೆಂದು ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಆಗ ಗ್ರಹಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು.
14 When they came to the multitude, a man came to him, kneeling down to him and saying,
ಅವರು ಜನಸಮೂಹದ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ, ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಮೊಣಕಾಲೂರಿ,
15 “Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is epileptic and suffers grievously; for he often falls into the fire, and often into the water.
“ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನನ್ನ ಮಗನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕರುಣೆಯಿಡು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವನು ಮೂರ್ಛಾರೋಗದಿಂದ ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಕಷ್ಟಪಡುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಅನೇಕ ಸಾರಿ ಬೆಂಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಬೀಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
16 So I brought him to your disciples, and they could not cure him.”
ನಾನು ಅವನನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಶಿಷ್ಯರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆತಂದೆನು. ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥ ಮಾಡದೆ ಹೋದರು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
17 Yeshua answered, “Faithless and perverse generation! How long will I be with you? How long will I bear with you? Bring him here to me.”
ಆಗ ಯೇಸು, “ವಿಶ್ವಾಸವಿಲ್ಲದ ಮೂರ್ಖ ಸಂತತಿಯೇ, ಇನ್ನೂ ಎಷ್ಟು ಕಾಲ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗಿರಲಿ? ಎಷ್ಟು ಕಾಲ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಹಿಸಲಿ? ಅವನನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬನ್ನಿರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
18 Yeshua rebuked the demon, and it went out of him, and the boy was cured from that hour.
ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ದೆವ್ವವನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸಲಾಗಿ ಅದು ಹುಡುಗನೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಟುಹೋಯಿತು. ಆಗ ಆ ಹುಡುಗನು ಅದೇ ಗಳಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಗುಣಮುಖನಾದನು.
19 Then the disciples came to Yeshua privately, and said, “Why weren’t we able to cast it out?”
ತರುವಾಯ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕವಾಗಿ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು, “ಅದನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನಮ್ಮಿಂದ ಏಕೆ ಆಗಲಿಲ್ಲ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
20 He said to them, “Because of your unbelief. For most certainly I tell you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will tell this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.
ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನಿಮ್ಮ ಅಪೂರ್ಣನಂಬಿಕೆಯೇ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣ. ಸಾಸಿವೆ ಕಾಳಿನಷ್ಟು ನಂಬಿಕೆ ನಿಮಗಿರುವುದಾದರೆ ನೀವು ಈ ಬೆಟ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ, ‘ಇಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಆ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗು’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ಅದು ಹೋಗುವುದು. ಯಾವುದೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ಅಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
21 But this kind doesn’t go out except by prayer and fasting.”
ಆದರೂ ದೇವರ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಉಪವಾಸಗಳಿಂದ ಹೊರತು ಬೇರೆ ಯಾವುದರಿಂದಲೂ ಈ ರೀತಿಯಾದ ದೆವ್ವ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ,” ಎಂದರು.
22 While they were staying in Galilee, Yeshua said to them, “The Son of Man is about to be delivered up into the hands of men,
ಅವರು ಗಲಿಲಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ್ದಾಗ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಮನುಷ್ಯಪುತ್ರನಾದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಜನರ ಕೈಗಳಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಡಲಾಗುವುದು.
23 and they will kill him, and the third day he will be raised up.” They were exceedingly sorry.
ಅವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವರು, ಆದರೆ ಮೂರನೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಜೀವಿತನಾಗಿ ಎದ್ದು ಬರುವೆನು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಬಹಳ ದುಃಖಪಟ್ಟರು.
24 When they had come to Capernaum, those who collected the didrachma coins came to Peter, and said, “Doesn’t your rabbi pay the didrachma?”
ತರುವಾಯ ಯೇಸು ಕಪೆರ್ನೌಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ, ದೇವಾಲಯದ ತೆರಿಗೆಗಾಗಿ ಎರಡು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ವಸೂಲಿಮಾಡುವವರು ಪೇತ್ರನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು. ಅವರು ಪೇತ್ರನಿಗೆ, “ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬೋಧಕನು ತೆರಿಗೆ ಕಟ್ಟುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೋ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
25 He said, “Yes.” When he came into the house, Yeshua anticipated him, saying, “What do you think, Simon? From whom do the kings of the earth receive toll or tribute? From their children, or from strangers?”
ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಪೇತ್ರನು, “ಹೌದು, ಕಟ್ಟುತ್ತಾರೆ,” ಎಂದನು. ಅವನು ಮನೆಯೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಯೇಸು ಮುಂದಾಗಿಯೇ ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಸೀಮೋನನೇ ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಗೆ ತೋರುತ್ತದೆ? ಭೂಲೋಕದ ರಾಜರು ಯಾರಿಂದ ಕಂದಾಯವನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ತೆರಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ವಸೂಲಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ? ತಮ್ಮ ಪುತ್ರರಿಂದಲೋ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಪರರಿಂದಲೋ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
26 Peter said to him, “From strangers.” Yeshua said to him, “Therefore the children are exempt.
“ಪರರಿಂದ,” ಎಂದು ಪೇತ್ರನು ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಯೇಸು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಪುತ್ರನು ಕಟ್ಟಬೇಕಾಗಿಲ್ಲ.
27 But, lest we cause them to stumble, go to the sea, cast a hook, and take up the first fish that comes up. When you have opened its mouth, you will find a stater coin. Take that, and give it to them for me and you.”
ಆದರೂ ನಾವು ಅವರನ್ನು ಅಭ್ಯಂತರಪಡಿಸದಂತೆ, ನೀನು ಸರೋವರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಗಾಳವನ್ನು ಹಾಕು. ಆಗ ಮೊದಲು ಬರುವ ಮೀನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿ. ನೀನು ಅದರ ಬಾಯನ್ನು ತೆರೆದಾಗ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಣುವೆ. ಅದನ್ನು ತಂದು ನನ್ನ ಮತ್ತು ನಿನ್ನ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
