Leviticus 17
1 The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
Και ελάλησε Κύριος προς τον Μωϋσήν, λέγων,
2 “Speak to Aaron, and to his sons, and to all the children of Israel, and say to them, ‘This is the thing which the LORD has commanded:
Λάλησον προς τον Ααρών και προς τους υιούς αυτού και προς πάντας τους υιούς Ισραήλ και ειπέ προς αυτούς, Ούτος είναι ο λόγος τον οποίον προσέταξεν ο Κύριος, λέγων.
3 Whatever man there is of the house of Israel who kills a bull, or lamb, or goat in the camp, or who kills it outside the camp,
Όστις άνθρωπος εκ του οίκου Ισραήλ σφάξη βουν ή αρνίον ή αίγα εν τω στρατοπέδω, ή όστις σφάξη έξω του στρατοπέδου,
4 and hasn’t brought it to the door of the Tent of Meeting to offer it as an offering to the LORD before the LORD’s tabernacle: blood shall be imputed to that man. He has shed blood. That man shall be cut off from among his people.
και εις την θύραν της σκηνής του μαρτυρίου δεν φέρη αυτό, διά να προσφέρη προσφοράν εις τον Κύριον έμπροσθεν της σκηνής του Κυρίου, αίμα θέλει λογισθή εις εκείνον τον άνθρωπον· αίμα έχυσε και θέλει εξολοθρευθή ο άνθρωπος εκείνος εκ μέσου του λαού αυτού·
5 This is to the end that the children of Israel may bring their sacrifices, which they sacrifice in the open field, that they may bring them to the LORD, to the door of the Tent of Meeting, to the priest, and sacrifice them for sacrifices of peace offerings to the LORD.
διά να φέρωσιν οι υιοί Ισραήλ τας θυσίας αυτών, τας οποίας θυσιάζουσιν εν τη πεδιάδι, και να προσφέρωσιν αυτάς προς τον Κύριον εις την θύραν της σκηνής του μαρτυρίου προς τον ιερέα και να θυσιάζωσιν αυτάς εις προσφοράς ειρηνικάς προς τον Κύριον.
6 The priest shall sprinkle the blood on the LORD’s altar at the door of the Tent of Meeting, and burn the fat for a pleasant aroma to the LORD.
Και θέλει ραντίσει ο ιερεύς το αίμα επί το θυσιαστήριον του Κυρίου εις την θύραν της σκηνής του μαρτυρίου και θέλει καύσει το στέαρ εις οσμήν ευωδίας προς τον Κύριον.
7 They shall no more sacrifice their sacrifices to the goat idols, after which they play the prostitute. This shall be a statute forever to them throughout their generations.’
Και δεν θέλουσι θυσιάσει πλέον τας θυσίας αυτών εις τους δαίμονας, κατόπιν των οποίων αυτοί πορνεύουσι· τούτο θέλει είσθαι εις αυτούς νόμιμον αιώνιον εις τας γενεάς αυτών.
8 “You shall say to them, ‘Any man there is of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who live as foreigners among them, who offers a burnt offering or sacrifice,
Και θέλεις ειπεί προς αυτούς, Όστις άνθρωπος εκ του οίκου Ισραήλ ή εκ των ξένων των παροικούντων μεταξύ σας προσφέρη ολοκαύτωμα ή θυσίαν,
9 and doesn’t bring it to the door of the Tent of Meeting to sacrifice it to the LORD, that man shall be cut off from his people.
και εις την θύραν της σκηνής του μαρτυρίου δεν φέρη αυτό, διά να προσφέρη αυτό προς τον Κύριον, θέλει εξολοθρευθή ο άνθρωπος εκείνος εκ μέσου του λαού αυτού.
10 “‘Any man of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who live as foreigners among them, who eats any kind of blood, I will set my face against that soul who eats blood, and will cut him off from among his people.
Και όστις άνθρωπος εκ του οίκου Ισραήλ ή εκ των ξένων των παροικούντων μεταξύ σας φάγη οιονδήποτε αίμα, θέλω στήσει το πρόσωπόν μου εναντίον εκείνης της ψυχής ήτις τρώγει το αίμα, και θέλω εξολοθρεύσει αυτήν εκ μέσου του λαού αυτής·
11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood. I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement by reason of the life.
διότι η ζωή της σαρκός είναι εν τω αίματι και εγώ έδωκα αυτό εις εσάς, διά να κάμνητε εξιλέωσιν υπέρ των ψυχών σας επί του θυσιαστηρίου· διότι το αίμα τούτο κάμνει εξιλασμόν υπέρ της ψυχής.
12 Therefore I have said to the children of Israel, “No person among you may eat blood, nor may any stranger who lives as a foreigner among you eat blood.”
Διά τούτο είπα προς τους υιούς Ισραήλ, Ουδεμία ψυχή από σας θέλει φάγει αίμα· ουδέ ο ξένος, ο παροικών μεταξύ σας, θέλει φάγει αίμα.
13 “‘Whatever man there is of the children of Israel, or of the strangers who live as foreigners among them, who takes in hunting any animal or bird that may be eaten, he shall pour out its blood, and cover it with dust.
Και όστις άνθρωπος εκ των υιών Ισραήλ ή εκ των ξένων των παροικούντων μεταξύ σας, κυνηγήση και πιάση ζώον ή πτηνόν, το οποίον τρώγεται, θέλει χύσει το αίμα αυτού και θέλει σκεπάσει αυτό με χώμα.
14 For as to the life of all flesh, its blood is with its life. Therefore I said to the children of Israel, “You shall not eat the blood of any kind of flesh; for the life of all flesh is its blood. Whoever eats it shall be cut off.”
Διότι η ζωή πάσης σαρκός είναι το αίμα αυτής· διά την ζωήν αυτής είναι· όθεν είπα προς τους υιούς Ισραήλ, Δεν θέλετε φάγει αίμα ουδεμιάς σαρκός· διότι η ζωή πάσης σαρκός είναι το αίμα αυτής· πας ο τρώγων αυτό θέλει εξολοθρευθή.
15 “‘Every person that eats what dies of itself, or that which is torn by animals, whether he is native-born or a foreigner, shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the evening. Then he shall be clean.
Και πάσα ψυχή, ήτις φάγη θνησιμαίον ή διεσπαραγμένον υπό θηρίου, αυτόχθων ή ξένος, θέλει πλύνει τα ιμάτια αυτού και θέλει λουσθή εν ύδατι και θέλει είσθαι ακάθαρτος έως εσπέρας· τότε θέλει είσθαι καθαρός.
16 But if he doesn’t wash them, or bathe his flesh, then he shall bear his iniquity.’”
Αλλ' εάν δεν πλύνη αυτά μηδέ λούση το σώμα αυτού, τότε θέλει βαστάσει την ανομίαν αυτού.
