Yochanan 3
1 Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Judeans.
有一位名叫尼哥德慕的法利赛人，是犹太统治委员会中的一名成员。
2 He came to Yeshua by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do, unless God is with him.”
一天晚上，他找到耶稣说：“拉比，我们知道你是从上帝那里来的老师，如果不是因为与上帝同在，就没有人可以像你一样显化神迹。”
3 Yeshua answered him, “Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born anew, he can’t see God’s Kingdom.”
耶稣回答：“说实话，只有当你重生之时，才能亲历上帝之国。”
4 Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”
尼哥德慕问到：“但人老了怎能重生呢？难道是回到母亲腹中再诞生一次吗？”
5 Yeshua answered, “Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born of water and Spirit, he can’t enter into God’s Kingdom.
耶稣回答：“说实话，只有用水和圣灵诞下的人，才能进入上帝之国。
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh. That which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
身体而生即为身体，圣灵而生即为圣灵。
7 Don’t marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born anew.’
如果我对你说‘你们必须重生。’不要感到惊讶。h
8 The wind blows where it wants to, and you hear its sound, but don’t know where it comes from and where it is going. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
风随心所欲地吹拂，你听得到它的声音，却不知道它从何而来，又要到哪里去。对众人而言，圣灵而生的人也是如此。”
9 Nicodemus answered him, “How can these things be?”
尼哥德慕说：“这怎么可能？”
10 Yeshua answered him, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and don’t understand these things?
耶稣说：“你是以色列有名的教师，却不明白这样的事情吗？
11 Most certainly I tell you, we speak that which we know and testify of that which we have seen, and you don’t receive our witness.
说实话，我们只谈论自己知道之事，见证所见之事，但你们却不接受我们的见证。
12 If I told you earthly things and you don’t believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?
我告诉你们的只是人间之事，你们都不信，如果和你们讲述天国之事，你们又怎能信呢？
13 No one has ascended into heaven but he who descended out of heaven, the Son of Man, who is in heaven.
除了从天而降的人子，没有人曾升入天国。
14 As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
就像摩西在旷野中举起蛇，人子也必会被高举入天，
让所有相信他的人获得永生。 (aiōnios g166)
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only born Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
这就是上帝爱这世界的方式，上帝他把自己的独子赐给他们，让信他的人不会死去，而是获得永生。 (aiōnios g166)
17 For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him.
上帝派他的儿子来到人世间，不是为了谴责世人，而要让世人因他而获得救赎。
18 He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn’t believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only born Son of God.
相信他的不会被定罪，至于不相信他的人，因为它们不相信上帝的独子，这本身就已经被谴责了。
19 This is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light, for their works were evil.
做出这样的决定是因为光降临这个世界，但世人因作恶犯罪，不爱光反倒爱黑暗。
20 For everyone who does evil hates the light and doesn’t come to the light, lest his works would be exposed.
作恶之人都恨光，不肯走到光下，生怕恶行暴露。
21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God.”
行正道之人都愿意走进光中，显化上帝在它们身上达成的结果。”
22 After these things, Yeshua came with his disciples into the land of Judea. He stayed there with them and immersed.
在这之后，耶稣和门徒来到犹太地并在此住下，开始与民众在一起，为他们施洗。
23 Yochanan also was immersing in Enon near Salim, because there was much water there. They came and were immersed;
约翰施洗的地点位于撒冷附近的艾农，因为那里水很充足，众人纷纷前去接受他的施洗。
24 for Yochanan was not yet thrown into prison.
（当时约翰尚未入狱。）
25 Therefore a dispute arose on the part of Yochanan’s disciples with some Judeans about purification.
一天，约翰的门徒和一个犹太人在辩论洁净礼的问题。
26 They came to Yochanan and said to him, “Rabbi, he who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified, behold, he immerses, and everyone is coming to him.”
他们来到约翰面前，对他说：“拉比，你看，约旦河另一侧的那个人，就是你为其见证的那个人也在施洗，大家都到他那里去了！”
27 Yochanan answered, “A man can receive nothing unless it has been given him from heaven.
约翰回答：“人所获得的一切，均来自天赐。
28 You yourselves testify that I said, ‘I am not the Messiah,’ but, ‘I have been sent before him.’
我曾说过：‘我不是基督，不过是奉命为他准备道路而已’你们对此可以证明。
29 He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice. Therefore my joy is made full.
娶新娘的人是新郎！当新郎的好友站在那里，只要听到新郎的声音就会心生喜悦。我也有同样的欢喜，但现在这欢喜已经结束了。
30 He must increase, but I must decrease.
他一定会变得更重要，我一定会变得更低微。”
31 “He who comes from above is above all. He who is from the earth belongs to the earth and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.
从天而来一定比众人更伟大，来自大地的则属于大地，其所言也不过人间之事。只有从天而来才会比万物更伟大。
32 What he has seen and heard, of that he testifies; and no one receives his witness.
他对在天上的所见所闻做出见证，却没有人相信他所说的一切。
33 He who has received his witness has set his seal to this, that God is true.
接受他的见证，就代表你确认上帝的真实。
34 For he whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for God gives the Spirit without measure.
上帝派来之人讲述上帝之道，因为上帝不会对圣灵做出限制。
35 The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand.
天父爱这人子，已经把一切都交在他的手中。
