Jacob 2
1 My brothers, don’t hold the faith of our glorious Lord Yeshua the Messiah with partiality.
Եղբայրնե՛րս, առանց աչառութեան թող ըլլայ մեր Տէրոջ՝ Յիսուս Քրիստոսի՝ փառքի Տէրոջ հաւատքը:
2 For if a man with a gold ring, in fine clothing, comes into your synagogue, and a poor man in filthy clothing also comes in,
Արդարեւ եթէ ձեր ժողովարանին մէջ մտնէ մարդ մը՝ ոսկիէ մատանիով ու փայլուն տարազով, եւ մտնէ նաեւ աղքատ մը՝ աղտոտ տարազով,
3 and you pay special attention to him who wears the fine clothing and say, “Sit here in a good place;” and you tell the poor man, “Stand there,” or “Sit by my footstool”
ու նայիք անոր՝ որ փայլուն տարազ կը կրէ, եւ ըսէք. «Հո՛ս նստէ՝ պատիւով», իսկ աղքատին ըսէք. «Հո՛ն ոտքի կայնէ, կամ հո՛ս նստէ՝ պատուանդանիս քով»,
4 haven’t you shown partiality among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts?
միթէ ձեր մէջ խտրութիւն դրած չէ՞ք ըլլար, ու չար մտածումներու դատաւոր եղած:
5 Listen, my beloved brothers. Didn’t God choose those who are poor in this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the Kingdom which he promised to those who love him?
Լսեցէ՛ք, սիրելի՛ եղբայրներս. միթէ Աստուած չընտրե՞ց այս աշխարհի աղքատները՝ որոնք հարուստ են հաւատքով, ու ժառանգորդ արքայութեան՝ որ խոստացաւ զինք սիրողներուն:
6 But you have dishonored the poor man. Don’t the rich oppress you and personally drag you before the courts?
Բայց դուք անպատուեցիք աղքատները: Հարուստները չե՞ն՝ որ կը հարստահարեն ձեզ ու դատարանները կը քաշեն:
7 Don’t they blaspheme the honorable name by which you are called?
Անոնք չե՞ն որ կը հայհոյեն այն բարի անունը՝ որով կոչուած էք:
8 However, if you fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well.
Ուրեմն՝ եթէ դուք կը գործադրէք արքայական Օրէնքը՝ Գիրքին ըսածին համաձայն. «Սիրէ՛ ընկերդ քու անձիդ՝՝ պէս», լա՛ւ կ՚ընէք:
9 But if you show partiality, you commit sin, being convicted by the law as transgressors.
Բայց եթէ աչառութիւն կ՚ընէք՝ մե՛ղք կը գործէք, եւ կը կշտամբուիք Օրէնքէն՝ օրինազանցներու պէս.
10 For whoever keeps the whole law, and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all.
քանի որ ո՛վ որ պահէ ամբողջ Օրէնքը սակայն սայթաքի մէ՛կ բանի մէջ, պարտապան կ՚ըլլայ բոլորին:
11 For he who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not commit murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery but do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.
Արդարեւ ա՛ն որ ըսաւ. «Շնութիւն մի՛ ըներ», ըսաւ նաեւ. «Մի՛ սպաններ»: Ուստի եթէ շնութիւն չընես բայց սպաննես, օրինազանց կ՚ըլլաս:
12 So speak and so do as men who are to be judged by the law of freedom.
Ա՛յնպէս խօսեցէք եւ ա՛յնպէս գործեցէք՝ որպէս թէ պիտի դատուիք ազատութեան Օրէնքով:
13 For judgment is without mercy to him who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
Որովհետեւ դատաստանը անողորմ պիտի ըլլայ անոր՝ որ չէ ողորմած. սակայն ողորմութիւնը կը պարծենայ դատաստանին դիմաց:
14 What good is it, my brothers, if a man says he has faith, but has no works? Can faith save him?
Ի՞նչ օգուտ ունի, եղբայրնե՛րս, եթէ մէկը ըսէ թէ հաւատք ունի սակայն գործեր չունենայ. միթէ հաւատքը կրնա՞յ փրկել զինք:
15 And if a brother or sister is naked and in lack of daily food,
Եթէ եղբայր մը կամ քոյր մը մերկ ըլլայ եւ օրուան կերակուրին կարօտ,
16 and one of you tells them, “Go in peace. Be warmed and filled;” yet you didn’t give them the things the body needs, what good is it?
ու ձեզմէ մէկը ըսէ անոնց. «Գացէ՛ք խաղաղութեամբ, տաքցէ՛ք եւ կշտացէ՛ք», բայց մարմինին հարկաւոր բաները չտայ անոնց, ի՞նչ օգուտ ունի:
17 Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead in itself.
Ա՛յդպէս ալ հաւատքը՝ եթէ գործեր չունենայ իրեն հետ՝ մեռած է ինքնիր մէջ:
18 Yes, a man will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without works, and I will show you my faith by my works.
Նոյնիսկ մէկը կրնայ ըսել. «Դուն հաւա՛տք ունիս, ես ալ գործե՛ր ունիմ. ցո՛յց տուր ինծի քու հաւատքդ՝ առանց գործերու, իսկ ես ցոյց պիտի տամ քեզի իմ հաւատքս՝ գործերո՛վս”:
19 You believe that God is one. You do well. The demons also believe—and shudder.
Դուն կը հաւատաս թէ Աստուած մէկ է. լա՛ւ կ՚ընես: Դեւե՛րն ալ կը հաւատան ու կը սարսռան:
20 But do you want to know, vain man, that faith apart from works is dead?
Բայց կ՚ուզե՞ս գիտնալ, ո՛վ սնոտի մարդ, թէ հաւատքը մեռած է առանց գործերու:
21 Wasn’t Abraham our father justified by works, in that he offered up Isaac his son on the altar?
Աբրահամ՝ մեր հայրը՝ գործերով չարդարացա՞ւ, երբ իր որդին՝ Իսահակը մատուցանեց զոհասեղանին վրայ:
22 You see that faith worked with his works, and by works faith was perfected.
Կը տեսնե՞ս թէ հաւատքը գործակից եղաւ անոր գործերուն, ու գործերո՛վ հաւատքը կատարեալ եղաւ,
23 So the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him as righteousness,” and he was called the friend of God.
եւ իրագործուեցաւ Գիրքին խօսքը՝ որ կ՚ըսէ. «Աբրահամ հաւատաց Աստուծոյ, ու ատիկա արդարութիւն սեպուեցաւ անոր, եւ ինք Աստուծոյ բարեկամ կոչուեցաւ»:
24 You see then that by works a man is justified, and not only by faith.
Կը նկատէ՞ք թէ մարդ կ՚արդարանայ գործերո՛վ, ու ո՛չ թէ՝ միայն հաւատքով:
25 In the same way, wasn’t Rahab the prostitute also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?
Նմանապէս Ռախաբ պոռնիկն ալ չարդարացա՞ւ գործերով, երբ ընդունեց պատգամաւորները եւ ուրիշ ճամբայով ուղարկեց զանոնք:
26 For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, even so faith apart from works is dead.
Արդարեւ ինչպէս մարմինը մեռած է առանց հոգիի, այդպէս ալ հաւատքը մեռած է առանց գործերու:
