Isaiah 43
1 But now the LORD who created you, Jacob, and he who formed you, Israel, says: “Don’t be afraid, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by your name. You are mine.
੧ਹੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ, ਤੇਰਾ ਕਰਤਾਰ, ਅਤੇ ਹੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ, ਤੇਰਾ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹੁਣ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਨਾ ਡਰ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਛੁਡਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਹੈਂ।
2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, and flame will not scorch you.
੨ਜਦ ਤੂੰ ਪਾਣੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੀ ਲੰਘੇਂਗਾ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਜਦ ਨਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੀ, ਉਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਡੋਬਣਗੀਆਂ, ਜਦ ਤੂੰ ਅੱਗ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੀ ਚੱਲੇਂਗਾ, ਉਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਸਾੜੇਗੀ, ਨਾ ਲਾਟ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਲੇਗੀ।
3 For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I have given Egypt as your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your place.
੩ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੇਰਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹਾਂ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪੁਰਖ, ਤੇਰਾ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਮਿਸਰ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੀ ਰਿਹਾਈ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਕੂਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਬਾ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਟਾਂਦਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
4 Since you have been precious and honored in my sight, and I have loved you, therefore I will give people in your place, and nations instead of your life.
੪ਇਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਮੁੱਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਦਰਯੋਗ ਹੈਂ, ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਬਦਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਦੇ ਵਟਾਂਦਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
5 Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. I will bring your offspring from the east, and gather you from the west.
੫ਤੂੰ ਨਾ ਡਰ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਅੰਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਬ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਆਵਾਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪੱਛਮ ਤੋਂ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
6 I will tell the north, ‘Give them up!’ and tell the south, ‘Don’t hold them back! Bring my sons from far away, and my daughters from the ends of the earth—
੬ਮੈਂ ਉੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਾਂਗਾ, ਦੇ! ਅਤੇ ਦੱਖਣ ਨੂੰ, ਰੋਕ ਕੇ ਨਾ ਰੱਖ! ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਤੋਂ ਲਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਹੱਦ ਤੋਂ,
7 everyone who is called by my name, and whom I have created for my glory, whom I have formed, yes, whom I have made.’”
੭ਹਰੇਕ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਤਾਪ ਲਈ ਉਤਪੰਨ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਸਿਰਜਿਆ, ਹਾਂ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
8 Bring out the blind people who have eyes, and the deaf who have ears.
੮ਅੱਖਾਂ ਰਹਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਅੰਨ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਕੰਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਬੋਲ਼ਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਲਿਆ।
9 Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the peoples be assembled. Who among them can declare this, and show us former things? Let them bring their witnesses, that they may be justified, or let them hear, and say, “That is true.”
੯ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਇਕੱਠੀਆਂ ਹੋਣ, ਅਤੇ ਉੱਮਤਾਂ ਜਮਾਂ ਹੋਣ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੌਣ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਦੱਸੇ, ਅਤੇ ਪਹਿਲੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਾਵੇ? ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਗਵਾਹ ਲਿਆਉਣ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਧਰਮੀ ਠਹਿਰਨ, ਜਾਂ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਆਖਣ, ਇਹ ਸੱਚ ਹੈ।
10 “You are my witnesses,” says the LORD, “With my servant whom I have chosen; that you may know and believe me, and understand that I am he. Before me there was no God formed, neither will there be after me.
੧੦ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਗਵਾਹ ਹੋ, ਨਾਲੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਦਾਸ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਚੁਣਿਆ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣੋ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਰਤੀਤ ਕਰੋ, ਅਤੇ ਸਮਝੋ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਉਹੀ ਹਾਂ। ਮੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਕੋਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ, ਨਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿੱਛੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
11 I myself am the LORD. Besides me, there is no savior.
੧੧ਮੈਂ, ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਹੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹਾਂ, ਮੇਰੇ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
12 I have declared, I have saved, and I have shown, and there was no strange god among you. Therefore you are my witnesses”, says the LORD, “and I am God.
੧੨ਮੈਂ ਹੀ ਦੱਸਿਆ, ਮੈਂ ਬਚਾਇਆ, ਮੈਂ ਹੀ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ, ਨਾ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਸੇ ਓਪਰੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਨੇ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਗਵਾਹ ਹੋ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਹੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹਾਂ।
13 Yes, since the day was, I am he. There is no one who can deliver out of my hand. I will work, and who can hinder it?”
੧੩ਹਾਂ, ਪ੍ਰਾਚੀਨ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਹਾਂ, ਅਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਮੇਰੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਛੁਡਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ, ਮੈਂ ਕਾਰਜ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਕੌਣ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕੇਗਾ?
14 The LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel says: “For your sake, I have sent to Babylon, and I will bring all of them down as fugitives, even the Kasdim, in the ships of their rejoicing.
੧੪ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਛੁਡਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪੁਰਖ ਇਹ ਫ਼ਰਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਮਿੱਤ ਮੈਂ ਬਾਬਲ ਵੱਲ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਗੌੜਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਲੈ ਆਵਾਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਕਸਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਹਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਆਵਾਂਗਾ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਹ ਵੱਡਾ ਘਮੰਡ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
15 I am the LORD, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King.”
੧੫ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪੁਰਖ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਕਰਤਾਰ, ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਹਾਂ।
16 The LORD, who makes a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters,
੧੬ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਜੋ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਹ ਬਣਾਉਂਦਾ, ਅਤੇ ਡਾਢੇ ਪਾਣੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਸਤਾ,
17 who brings out the chariot and horse, the army and the mighty man (they lie down together, they shall not rise; they are extinct, they are quenched like a wick) says:
੧੭ਉਹ ਜੋ ਰਥ ਅਤੇ ਘੋੜਾ, ਫੌਜ ਅਤੇ ਸੂਰਬੀਰ ਬਾਹਰ ਲੈ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਲੇਟ ਜਾਂਦੇ, ਉਹ ਉੱਠਣਗੇ ਨਹੀਂ, ਉਹ ਮੰਦੇ ਪੈ ਗਏ, ਉਹ ਬੱਤੀ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਬੁਝ ਗਏ।
18 “Don’t remember the former things, and don’t consider the things of old.
੧੮ਪਹਿਲੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ, ਪੁਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਸੋਚੋ,
19 Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs out now. Don’t you know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
੧੯ਵੇਖੋ, ਮੈਂ ਇੱਕ ਨਵਾਂ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਾਂ, ਉਹ ਹੁਣੇ ਹੀ ਦਿੱਸ ਪਵੇਗਾ, ਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਅਣਜਾਣ ਰਹੋਗੇ? ਮੈਂ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਰਾਹ ਬਣਾਵਾਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਥਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਦੀਆਂ।
20 The animals of the field, the jackals and the ostriches, shall honor me, because I give water in the wilderness and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen,
੨੦ਜੰਗਲੀ ਜਾਨਵਰ, ਗਿੱਦੜ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੁਤਰਮੁਰਗ, ਮੇਰੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਕਰਨਗੇ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਣੀ, ਅਤੇ ਥਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਦੀਆਂ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਭਈ ਮੇਰੀ ਚੁਣੀ ਹੋਈ ਪਰਜਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਵੇ।
21 the people which I formed for myself, that they might declare my praise.
੨੧ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਪਰਜਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਸਿਰਜਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਦਾ ਵਰਨਣ ਕਰੇ।
22 Yet you have not called on me, Jacob; but you have been weary of me, Israel.
੨੨ਪਰ ਹੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ, ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੁਕਾਰਿਆ, ਹੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ, ਤੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਕ ਗਿਆ!
23 You have not brought me any of your sheep for burnt offerings, neither have you honored me with your sacrifices. I have not burdened you with offerings, nor wearied you with frankincense.
੨੩ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਹੋਮ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਲੇਲੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਿਆਇਆ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰਾ ਆਦਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਮੈਂ ਮੈਦੇ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਦਾ ਭਾਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਇਆ, ਨਾ ਲੁਬਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਅਕਾਇਆ।
24 You have bought me no sweet cane with money, nor have you filled me with the fat of your sacrifices, but you have burdened me with your sins. You have wearied me with your iniquities.
੨੪ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਸੁਗੰਧਿਤ ਪੋਨੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਿਆਂਦੇ, ਨਾ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਚਰਬੀ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਰਜਾਇਆ, ਸਗੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦਾ ਭਾਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਾਇਆ, ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਬਦੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਅਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
25 I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake; and I will not remember your sins.
੨੫ਮੈਂ, ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਹਾਂ, ਜੋ ਤੇਰੇ ਅਪਰਾਧਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਨਮਿੱਤ ਮਿਟਾਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖਾਂਗਾ।
26 Put me in remembrance. Let us plead together. Declare your case, that you may be justified.
੨੬ਮੈਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰ, ਅਸੀਂ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਵਾਦ-ਵਿਵਾਦ ਕਰੀਏ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਨਿਰਣਾ ਕਰ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਧਰਮੀ ਠਹਿਰੇਂ।
27 Your first father sinned, and your teachers have transgressed against me.
੨੭ਤੇਰੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤਾ, ਤੇਰੇ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਅਪਰਾਧ ਕੀਤਾ।
28 Therefore I will profane the princes of the sanctuary; and I will make Jacob a curse, and Israel an insult.”
੨੮ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਦੇ ਉੱਚ-ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ, ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੂੰ ਫਿਟਕਾਰ, ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਰਬਚਨ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
