Isaiah 13
1 The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw.
੧ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਅਗੰਮ ਵਾਕ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਮੋਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਇਆ, -
2 Set up a banner on the bare mountain! Lift up your voice to them! Wave your hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.
੨ਨੰਗੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਝੰਡਾ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਕਰੋ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਚੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਪੁਕਾਰੋ! ਹੱਥ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ਼ਾਰਾ ਕਰੋ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਪਤਵੰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਫਾਟਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੜਨ!
3 I have commanded my consecrated ones; yes, I have called my mighty men for my anger, even my proudly exulting ones.
੩ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਨਾਲੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ, ਆਪਣੇ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
4 The noise of a multitude is in the mountains, as of a great people; the noise of an uproar of the kingdoms of the nations gathered together! The LORD of Hosts is mustering the army for the battle.
੪ਪਹਾੜਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਰੌਲ਼ੇ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣੋ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਭੀੜ ਦੀ, ਰਾਜ ਰਾਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਇਕੱਠ ਦਾ ਸ਼ੋਰ, ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਯੁੱਧ ਲਈ ਸੈਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ!
5 They come from a far country, from the uttermost part of heaven, even the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.
੫ਉਹ ਦੂਰ ਦੇਸ ਤੋਂ, ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਸਿਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਤੁਰੇ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਕਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਸਤਰ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ!
6 Wail, for the LORD’s day is at hand! It will come as destruction from the Almighty.
੬ਤੁਸੀਂ ਧਾਹਾਂ ਮਾਰੋ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਦਿਨ ਨੇੜੇ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਬਰਬਾਦੀ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਆਵੇਗਾ।
7 Therefore all hands will be feeble, and everyone’s heart will melt.
੭ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੱਥ ਢਿੱਲੇ ਪੈ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਦਿਲ ਡਰ ਨਾਲ ਢੱਲ਼ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
8 They will be dismayed. Pangs and sorrows will seize them. They will be in pain like a woman in labor. They will look in amazement one at another. Their faces will be faces of flame.
੮ਉਹ ਘਬਰਾ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਪੀੜਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫੜ੍ਹ ਲੈਣਗੇ, ਉਹ ਜਣਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਔਰਤ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਪੀੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਣਗੇ, ਉਹ ਹੱਕੇ-ਬੱਕੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਵੱਲ ਤੱਕਣਗੇ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਭੱਖਦੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ।
9 Behold, the day of the LORD comes, cruel, with wrath and fierce anger; to make the land a desolation, and to destroy its sinners out of it.
੯ਵੇਖੋ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਦਿਨ, ਨਿਰਦਈ, ਕਹਿਰ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਜ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਰਾਨ ਕਰੇ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪਾਪੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਾਸ ਕਰੇ।
10 For the stars of the sky and its constellations will not give their light. The sun will be darkened in its going out, and the moon will not cause its light to shine.
੧੦ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਤਾਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਤਾਰਾਗਣ ਆਪਣਾ ਚਾਨਣ ਨਾ ਦੇਣਗੇ, ਸੂਰਜ ਚੜ੍ਹਦਿਆਂ ਸਾਰ ਹਨ੍ਹੇਰਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਚੰਦਰਮਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਨਾ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।
11 I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity. I will cause the arrogance of the proud to cease, and will humble the arrogance of the terrible.
੧੧ਮੈਂ ਜਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਦੀ, ਅਤੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਦੀ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਬੇਰਹਿਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਮੰਡ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
12 I will make people more rare than fine gold, even a person than the pure gold of Ophir.
੧੨ਮੈਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੁੰਦਨ ਸੋਨੇ ਨਾਲੋਂ, ਅਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਓਫੀਰ ਦੇ ਸੋਨੇ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਦੁਰਲੱਭ ਬਣਾਵਾਂਗਾ।
13 Therefore I will make the heavens tremble, and the earth will be shaken out of its place in the LORD of Hosts’ wrath, and in the day of his fierce anger.
੧੩ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਂਬਾ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਥਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਹਿਲਾਈ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ, ਇਹ ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਕਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਤੇਜ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
14 It will happen that like a hunted gazelle and like sheep that no one gathers, they will each turn to their own people, and will each flee to their own land.
੧੪ਤਦ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਭੁੱਲੀ ਹਿਰਨੀ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਭੇਡ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਪਾਲੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਹਰੇਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਮੁੜੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਸ ਨੂੰ ਭੱਜੇਗਾ।
15 Everyone who is found will be thrust through. Everyone who is captured will fall by the sword.
੧੫ਹਰੇਕ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਵੇ ਵਿੰਨ੍ਹਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਹਰੇਕ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਫੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਡਿੱਗੇਗਾ।
16 Their infants also will be dashed in pieces before their eyes. Their houses will be ransacked, and their wives raped.
੧੬ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਪਟਕਾਏ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਲੁੱਟੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਪਤਨੀਆਂ ਬੇਪਤ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ।
17 Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, who will not value silver, and as for gold, they will not delight in it.
੧੭ਵੇਖੋ, ਮੈਂ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਮਾਦੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰੇਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦੀ ਪਰਵਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ, ਨਾ ਸੋਨੇ ਤੋਂ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
18 Their bows will dash the young men in pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb. Their eyes will not spare children.
੧੮ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਧਣੁੱਖ ਜੁਆਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿੰਨ੍ਹਣਗੇ, ਉਹ ਢਿੱਡ ਦੇ ਫਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਹਮ ਨਾ ਕਰਨਗੇ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਤਰਸ ਨਾ ਖਾਣਗੀਆਂ।
19 Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Kasdim’ pride, will be like when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.
੧੯ਬਾਬਲ ਜੋ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਜਾਵਟ ਅਤੇ ਕਸਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਾਨ ਹੈ, ਸਦੂਮ ਅਤੇ ਅਮੂਰਾਹ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਜਦੋਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਢਾਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।
20 It will never be inhabited, neither will it be lived in from generation to generation. The Arabian will not pitch a tent there, neither will shepherds make their flocks lie down there.
੨੦ਉਹ ਫੇਰ ਕਦੀ ਨਾ ਵਸਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਨਾ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀਓਂ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਅਬਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਅਰਬੀ ਉੱਥੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਲਾਵੇਗਾ, ਨਾ ਅਯਾਲੀ ਉੱਥੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਇੱਜੜ ਬਿਠਾਉਣਗੇ।
21 But wild animals of the desert will lie there, and their houses will be full of jackals. Ostriches will dwell there, and wild goats will frolic there.
੨੧ਪਰ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਉੱਥੇ ਬੈਠਣਗੇ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਗਿੱਦੜਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ, ਸ਼ੁਤਰਮੁਰਗ ਉੱਥੇ ਵੱਸਣਗੇ, ਅਤੇ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਬੱਕਰੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਨੱਚਣਗੇ।
22 Hyenas will cry in their fortresses, and jackals in the pleasant palaces. Her time is near to come, and her days will not be prolonged.
੨੨ਬਿੱਜੂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਖੁੱਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਅਤੇ ਗਿੱਦੜ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਰੰਗ ਮਹਿਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੌਲ਼ਾ ਪਾਉਣਗੇ। ਉਹ ਦੇ ਵਿਨਾਸ਼ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਨੇੜੇ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਲੰਮੇ ਨਾ ਹੋਣਗੇ।
