Acts 14
1 In Iconium, they entered together into the Jewish synagogue, and so spoke that a great multitude both of Jews and of Greeks believed.
ಇಕೋನ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಪೌಲ ಮತ್ತು ಬಾರ್ನಬರು ವಾಡಿಕೆಯಂತೆ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದರು. ಅವರು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಬಹು ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರೂ ಗ್ರೀಕರೂ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸವನ್ನಿಟ್ಟರು.
2 But the disbelieving Jews stirred up and embittered the souls of the Gentiles against the brothers.
ಆದರೆ ನಂಬಲು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸಿದ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಲ್ಲದವರ ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಕೆಡಿಸಿ, ಸಹೋದರರ ಮೇಲೆ ವಿರೋಧ ಭಾವನೆ ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸಿದರು.
3 Therefore they stayed there a long time, speaking boldly in the Lord, who testified to the word of his grace, granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands.
ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಪೌಲ ಬಾರ್ನಬರು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹಳ ಸಮಯವಿದ್ದು ಕರ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಧೈರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಕರ್ತ ಯೇಸು ಅವರ ಕೈಗಳಿಂದ ಅದ್ಭುತಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸೂಚಕಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡುವ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು ತಮ್ಮ ಕೃಪಾವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಖಚಿತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
4 But the multitude of the city was divided. Part sided with the Jews and part with the emissaries.
ಆದರೆ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಭಿನ್ನಾಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಗಳಾದವು. ಕೆಲವರು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಪರವಾದರು, ಇನ್ನೂ ಕೆಲವರು ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರ ಪರವಾದರು.
5 When some of both the Gentiles and the Jews, with their rulers, made a violent attempt to mistreat and stone them,
ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರೂ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಲ್ಲದವರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ನಾಯಕರನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಪೌಲ, ಬಾರ್ನಬರನ್ನು ಅವಮಾನ ಮಾಡಿ ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಲ್ಲೆಸೆಯಬೇಕೆಂದು ನುಗ್ಗಿದಾಗ,
6 they became aware of it and fled to the cities of Lycaonia, Lystra, Derbe, and the surrounding region.
ಈ ವಿಷಯ ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಲು ಅವರು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಪಲಾಯನ ಮಾಡಿ ಲುಕವೋನಿಯದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಾದ ಲುಸ್ತ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ದೆರ್ಬೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಅವುಗಳ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಿಗೆ ಓಡಿಹೋದರು.
7 There they preached the Good News.
ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರು ಅಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆ ಸಾರಿದರು.
8 At Lystra a certain man sat, impotent in his feet, a cripple from his mother’s womb, who never had walked.
ಲುಸ್ತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಕುಂಟನಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನು ಹುಟ್ಟು ಕುಂಟನಾಗಿದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ಅವನೆಂದೂ ನಡೆದಾಡಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
9 He was listening to Paul speaking, who, fastening eyes on him and seeing that he had faith to be made whole,
ಪೌಲನು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಅವನು ಆಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು. ಪೌಲನು ನೇರವಾಗಿ ಅವನನ್ನೇ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿ ನೋಡಿ, ತಾನು ಗುಣಹೊಂದಲು ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸವಿದೆಯೆಂದು ಕಂಡು,
10 said with a loud voice, “Stand upright on your feet!” He leaped up and walked.
“ಎದ್ದೇಳು, ಕಾಲೂರಿ ನಿಲ್ಲು!” ಎಂದು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಧ್ವನಿಯಿಂದ ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಜಿಗಿದು ನಿಂತು, ನಡೆದಾಡಲು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದನು.
11 When the multitude saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voice, saying in the language of Lycaonia, “The gods have come down to us in the likeness of men!”
ಪೌಲನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಜನರು ಕಂಡಾಗ, ಲುಕವೋನಿಯ ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, “ಮಾನವ ರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರುಗಳು ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ!” ಎಂದು ಘೋಷಿಸಿದರು.
12 They called Barnabas “Jupiter”, and Paul “Mercury”, because he was the chief speaker.
ಅವರು ಬಾರ್ನಬನನ್ನು “ಜೆಯುಸ್” ದೇವರು ಎಂದೂ ಪೌಲನು ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಭಾಷಣಕಾರನಾದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನನ್ನು “ಹೆರ್ಮೆ” ದೇವರು ಎಂದೂ ಕರೆದರು.
13 The priest of Jupiter, whose temple was in front of their city, brought oxen and garlands to the gates, and would have made a sacrifice along with the multitudes.
ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಸಮೀಪದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಜೆಯುಸ್ ದೇವರ ಗುಡಿಯ ಪೂಜಾರಿಯು, ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ದ್ವಾರಗಳ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಹೂಮಾಲೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬರಲು, ಅವರಿಗಾಗಿ ಯಜ್ಞಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಲು ಜನರು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸಿದರು.
14 But when the emissaries, Barnabas and Paul, heard of it, they tore their clothes and sprang into the multitude, crying out,
ಆದರೆ ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರಾದ ಬಾರ್ನಬ ಮತ್ತು ಪೌಲರು ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ, ತಮ್ಮ ಬಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹರಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಜನಸಮೂಹದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಓಡಿಬಂದು ಕೂಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ:
15 “Men, why are you doing these things? We also are men of the same nature as you, and bring you good news, that you should turn from these vain things to the living God, who made the sky, the earth, the sea, and all that is in them;
“ಪ್ರಿಯ ಜನರೇ, ನೀವಿದನ್ನು ಏಕೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವಿರಿ? ನಾವೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮಾನವರು. ಇಂಥಾ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾದ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಆಕಾಶವನ್ನೂ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನೂ ಸಮುದ್ರವನ್ನೂ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದನ್ನೂ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದ ಜೀವಿಸುವ ದೇವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ ಎಂದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾರುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ.
16 who in the generations gone by allowed all the nations to walk in their own ways.
ದೇವರು ಹಿಂದಿನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ, ಆಯಾ ದೇಶಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನಡೆಯುವಂತೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟರು.
17 Yet he didn’t leave himself without witness, in that he did good and gave you rains from the sky and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.”
ಆದರೂ ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಕೊಡದೆ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆಕಾಶದಿಂದ ಮಳೆಯನ್ನೂ ಸಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳೆಯನ್ನೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿ ಆಹಾರಕೊಟ್ಟು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯಗಳನ್ನು ಆನಂದದಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿಸಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದವರು ದೇವರೇ.”
18 Even saying these things, they hardly stopped the multitudes from making a sacrifice to them.
ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರೂ ಆ ಜನಸಮೂಹ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬಲಿಯರ್ಪಿಸುವುದನ್ನು ತಡೆಯಲು ಕಷ್ಟವಾಯಿತು.
19 But some Jews from Antioch and Iconium came there, and having persuaded the multitudes, they stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, supposing that he was dead.
ಅದೇ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂತಿಯೋಕ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಇಕೋನ್ಯದಿಂದ ಕೆಲವು ಜನ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಬಂದು ಜನಸಮೂಹವನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಒಲಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ಪೌಲನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಲ್ಲೆಸೆಯಲು, ಅವನು ಸತ್ತನೆಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಊರ ಹೊರಗೆ ಎಳೆದು ಹಾಕಿದರು.
20 But as the disciples stood around him, he rose up, and entered into the city. On the next day he went out with Barnabas to Derbe.
ಆದರೆ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಬಂದು ಪೌಲನ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ನಿಂತುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಅವನು ಎದ್ದು ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಹೋದನು. ಮರುದಿನ ಅವನೂ ಬಾರ್ನಬನೂ ದೆರ್ಬೆಗೆ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋದರು.
21 When they had preached the Good News to that city and had made many disciples, they returned to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch,
ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಪೌಲ, ಬಾರ್ನಬರು ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾರಿದರು. ಬಹುಜನರನ್ನು ಶಿಷ್ಯರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಅನಂತರ ಅವರು ಲುಸ್ತ್ರ, ಇಕೋನ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಅಂತಿಯೋಕ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿದರು.
22 strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that through many afflictions we must enter into God’s Kingdom.
ಅಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ವಿಶ್ವಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದುವರಿಯಲು, “ನಾವು ಅನೇಕ ಸಂಕಟಗಳಿಂದ ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯದೊಳಗೆ ಸೇರಬೇಕು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ದೃಢಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
23 When they had appointed elders for them in every assembly, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord on whom they had believed.
ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪೌಲ, ಬಾರ್ನಬರು ಸಭಾ ಹಿರಿಯರನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿ, ಉಪವಾಸ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಅವರು ನಂಬಿದ್ದ ಕರ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
24 They passed through Pisidia and came to Pamphylia.
ತರುವಾಯ ಪಿಸಿದ್ಯವನ್ನು ದಾಟಿಕೊಂಡು, ಪಂಫುಲ್ಯದೊಳಗೆ ಬಂದರು,
25 When they had spoken the word in Perga, they went down to Attalia.
ಪೆರ್ಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸಾರಿ, ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಅತ್ತಾಲಿಯ ಎಂಬಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋದರು.
26 From there they sailed to Antioch, from where they had been committed to the grace of God for the work which they had fulfilled.
ಅತ್ತಾಲಿಯದಿಂದ ನೌಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಮಾಡಿ ಅಂತಿಯೋಕ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರು. ಅವರು ಪೂರೈಸಿದ ಸೇವೆಗಾಗಿ ದೇವರ ಕೃಪೆಗೆ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದು ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಿಂದಲೇ.
27 When they had arrived and had gathered the assembly together, they reported all the things that God had done with them, and that he had opened a door of faith to the nations.
ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ತಲುಪಿದಾಗ, ಅವರು ಸಭೆಯನ್ನು ಒಟ್ಟುಕೂಡಿಸಿದರು. ದೇವರು ಅವರಿಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಮುಖಾಂತರವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದನ್ನೂ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಲ್ಲದವರಿಗೂ ದೇವರು ವಿಶ್ವಾಸದ ದ್ವಾರವನ್ನು ತೆರೆದಿರುವುದನ್ನೂ ವರದಿಮಾಡಿದರು.
28 They stayed there with the disciples for a long time.
ಅವರು ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಶಿಷ್ಯರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬಹುಕಾಲ ತಂಗಿದ್ದರು.
