< 1 Yochanan 3 >

1 See how great a love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God! For this cause the world doesn’t know us, because it didn’t know him.
Pa naw ihlawka a jah mhläkphyanak cun ksing ua. A mhläkphyanak dämda se Pamhnama caa mi ngsuiki, akcanga Mhnama caa mi kyaki. Acunakyase ni, khawmdek naw mimi am jah ksing u, Pamhnam pi am ksing u.
2 Beloved, now we are children of God. It is not yet revealed what we will be; but we know that when he is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see him just as he is.
Ka püi he aw, Pamhnama caa mi kyaki he ni. Isenitiüng, Jesuha a kyaka mäih kunga mi hmu acun he ni.
3 Everyone who has this hope set on him purifies himself, even as he is pure.
Ahina äpeinak Khritaw üng taki naküt naw, Khritaw a ngcingcaiha mäiha, amät naw amät ngcingcaiheisaki ni.
4 Everyone who sins also commits lawlessness. Sin is lawlessness.
Mkhyekatki naküt cun naw Pamhnama thum lümkanki ni. Isenitiüng, mkhyenak cun thum lümkannak ni.
5 You know that he was revealed to take away our sins, and no sin is in him.
Khritaw cun naw mi mkhyekatnak naküt cehpüi khai lawki ni tia nami ksingki. Khritaw üng a mkhyekatnak am veki.
6 Whoever remains in him doesn’t sin. Whoever sins hasn’t seen him and doesn’t know him.
Acunakyase, Khritaw üng xüngseiki naküt naw mkhyenak am pawh be ti. Mkhyenak pawh hamkia khyang naw Khritaw am hmu khawi lü am ksing khawiki ni.
7 Little children, let no one lead you astray. He who does righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
Akdaw pawhkia khyang cun Khritaw a ngsungpyuna kba ngsungpyunnaki ni.
8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. To this end the Son of God was revealed: that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Mkhyenak pawh läkia khyang ta Khawyai üng sängeikia kyaki. Khawyai cun naw khawmdeka ngtüi üngkhyüh mkhyenak pawhki. Khawyaia pawhmsah naküt cun mkhyüh khaia Pamhnama Capa lawki ni.
9 Whoever is born of God doesn’t commit sin, because his seed remains in him, and he can’t sin, because he is born of God.
Pamhnama canae naw ta mkhyenak am pawh u. Isenitiüng, Pamhnama ngnei cun ami k’uma xüngki. Pamhnam cun ami Paa kyase mkhyenak am pawh be thei ti u.
10 In this the children of God are revealed, and the children of the devil. Whoever doesn’t do righteousness is not of God, neither is he who doesn’t love his brother.
Pamhnama cana ja Khawyaia cana cun hngaki xawi ni: akdaw am pawhkia khyang, a bena am mhläkphyanakia khyang cun Pamhnama canaa am kya.
11 For this is the message which you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another—
12 unlike Cain, who was of the evil one and killed his brother. Why did he kill him? Because his deeds were evil, and his brother’s righteous.
13 Don’t be surprised, my brothers, if the world hates you.
Ka benae aw, khawmdek khyange naw ami ning hneng üng käh müncan kawm uki.
14 We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brothers. He who doesn’t love his brother remains in death.
Mimi ta mi bena mi mhläkphya nakia kyase, thihnak khe lü xünnak mi phaki ti mi ksingki he. A bena am mhläkphya naki cun thihnaka johita kea ve hamkia kyaki.
15 Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life remaining in him. (aiōnios g166)
A bena hnengki cun khyang hnimki ni. Khyang hnimki naküt naw angsäia xünnak am yah ti nami ksingki. (aiōnios g166)
16 By this we know love, because he laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.
Khritaw naw mi hama a sak a tawna phäh mhläkphyanak cun mi ksingki. Acuna kba ni, mi bena phäh mi sak pe khaia mi ngkawihkie ni.
17 But whoever has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, then closes his heart of compassion against him, how does God’s love remain in him?
Bawimang lü mi bena mpyankse se hmu lü mpyaneinak am mi tak üngta, ihawkba Pamhnam ka mhläkphya naki mi ti thei khai ni?
18 My little children, let’s not love in word only, or with the tongue only, but in deed and truth.
19 And by this we know that we are of the truth and persuade our hearts before him,
Ngthukcang üng mi sängei cun ahikba mi ksing law khai, Pamhnam maa mkhühüpnak cun pi ahikba kung kya khai ti mi ksingki.
20 because if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things.
Mi ksingnak naw a jah mkat üng ta, mi ksingnaka kthaka Pamhnam dämduhki tia mi ksingki.
21 Beloved, if our hearts don’t condemn us, we have boldness toward God;
Acunakyase, ka benae aw, mi ksingnak naw am a jah mkat üng ta, Pamhnama maa am mi kyühei.
22 so whatever we ask, we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing in his sight.
Ngthupet naküt pi jah läklam lü ani jenak vaia mi xüngseikia kyase, mi täsam naküt pi Pamhnam naw jah peki.
23 This is his commandment, that we should believe in the name of his Son, Yeshua the Messiah, and love one another, even as he commanded.
A ngthupet ta a Capa Jesuh Khritaw jumei vai. A Capa naw a ning jah mtheha mäiha mat ja mat mhläkphyanak vai ni.
24 He who keeps his commandments remains in him, and he in him. By this we know that he remains in us, by the Spirit which he gave us.
Pamhnama ngthupet läklam lü Pamhnam am xüngseikiea khana Pamhnam pi xüngsei beki. Mimi üng a jah peta Ngmüimkhyaa phäh Pamhnam cun mi khana yümmat lü xüngseiki ti mi ksingki.
