Zechariah 5

1 Then again I lifted up my eyes and saw, and behold, a flying scroll.

পরে আমি আবার তাকালাম, আর দেখলাম আমার সামনে একটি উড়ন্ত গুটানো চামড়ার পুঁথি!

2 He said to me, “What do you see?” I answered, “I see a flying scroll; its length is twenty cubits, and its width ten cubits.”

তিনি আমায় জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন, “তুমি কী দেখছ?” আমি উত্তর দিলাম, “আমি ত্রিশ ফুট লম্বা ও পনেরো ফুট চওড়া একটি উড়ন্ত গুটানো চামড়ার পুঁথি দেখছি।”

3 Then he said to me, “This is the curse that goes out over the surface of the whole land, for everyone who steals shall be cut off according to it on the one side; and everyone who swears falsely shall be cut off according to it on the other side.

তিনি আমাকে আবার বললেন, “এটি হল সেই অভিশাপ যা সমস্ত দেশের উপর পড়বে; কারণ একদিকে যা লেখা আছে সেই অনুসারে, সব চোরেরা নির্বাসিত হবে, এবং অন্য দিকের কথা অনুসারে, মিথ্যা শপথকারীরা নির্বাসিত হবে।

4 I will cause it to go out,” says the LORD of Hosts, “and it will enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him who swears falsely by my name; and it will remain in the middle of his house, and will destroy it with its timber and its stones.”

সর্বশক্তিমান সদাপ্রভু বলেন, ‘আমি তাকে বের করে আনব, এবং সে চোরেদের বাড়িতে ও আমার নামে মিথ্যা শপথকারীদের বাড়িতে ঢুকবে। সে সেই বাড়িতে থেকে কাঠ ও পাথর শুদ্ধ বাড়ি ধ্বংস করবে।’”

5 Then the angel who talked with me came forward and said to me, “Lift up now your eyes and see what this is that is appearing.”

পরে সেই স্বর্গদূত যিনি আমার সঙ্গে কথা বলছিলেন তিনি এগিয়ে এসে আমাকে বললেন, “তুমি উপরে তাকিয়ে দেখো কী আসছে।”

6 I said, “What is it?” He said, “This is the efah basket that is appearing.” He said moreover, “This is their appearance in all the land—

আমি জিজ্ঞাসা করলাম, “ওটি কী?” তিনি উত্তর দিলেন, “এটি ঐফা।” আর তিনি আরও বললেন, “এটি সমস্ত দেশে তাদের অধর্ম।”

7 and behold, a lead cover weighing one talent was lifted up—and there was a woman sitting in the middle of the efah basket.”

তারপর সীসার ঢাকনি তোলা হল, আর ঐফার মধ্যে একজন স্ত্রীলোক বসেছিল!

8 He said, “This is Wickedness;” and he threw her down into the middle of the efah basket; and he threw the lead weight on its mouth.

তিনি বললেন, “এ হল দুষ্টতা,” এই বলে তিনি সেই স্ত্রীলোকটিকে ঐফার মধ্যে ঠেলে দিয়ে ঐফার মুখে সীসার ঢাকনিটা চেপে দিলেন।

9 Then I lifted up my eyes and saw, and behold, there were two women; and the wind was in their wings. Now they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the efah basket between earth and the sky.

তারপর আমি উপরে তাকালাম, আর দেখলাম আমার সামনে দুজন স্ত্রীলোক, তাদের ডানায় বাতাস ছিল! তাদের ডানা ছিল সারস পাখির ডানার মতো, এবং তারা পৃথিবী ও আকাশের মাঝখানে সেই ঐফাকে উঠিয়ে নিয়ে গেল।

10 Then I said to the angel who talked with me, “Where are these carrying the efah basket?”

যে স্বর্গদূত আমার সঙ্গে কথা বলছিলেন তাঁকে আমি জিজ্ঞাসা করলাম, “তারা ঐফা কোথায় নিয়ে যাচ্ছে?”

11 He said to me, “To build her a house in the land of Shinar. When it is prepared, she will be set there in her own place.”

তিনি উত্তর দিলেন, “তার জন্য বাড়ি তৈরি করতে ব্যাবিলন দেশে নিয়ে যাচ্ছে। সেটা যখন প্রস্তুত হবে; ঐফাকে তার জায়গায় বসানো হবে।”
