< Song of Solomon 8 >

1 Oh that you were like my brother, who nursed from the breasts of my mother! If I found you outside, I would kiss you; yes, and no one would despise me.
Aw nang loe kam no ih tahnutui nae thangqoi baktiah ohsak han ka koeh; tasa bangah kang hnuk naah, nang to kang mok han, ue, mi mah doeh kasae na thui o mak ai.
2 I would lead you, bringing you into the house of my mother, who would instruct me. I would have you drink spiced wine, of the juice of my pomegranate.
Nang to kang zaeh moe, kai thuitaekkung, kam no imthung ah kang caeh haih han; hmuihoih misurtui hoi pomegranat thingthai tui to kang naeksak han.
3 His left hand would be under my head. His right hand would embrace me.
Anih ih banqoi ban to lu kang hngoeng haih, a bantang ban hoiah kai ang takoih.
4 I adjure you, daughters of Jerusalem, that you not stir up, nor awaken love, until it so desires.
Aw Jerusalem canunawk, angmah koeh ah angthawk ai karoek to, ka tlangai to palawt o hmah, tiah lok kang thuih o.
5 Who is this who comes up from the wilderness, leaning on her beloved? Beloved Under the apple tree I awakened you. There your mother conceived you. There she was in labour and bore you.
Angmah ih tlangai khaeah amha, praezaek hoiah angzo kami loe mi aa? Shulam tangla ih lok Epal kung tlim ah nang to kang qoengsak: to ah nam no mah ang pomh; to ah nam no mah ang tapen boeh.
6 Set me as a seal on your heart, as a seal on your arm; for love is strong as death. Jealousy is as cruel as Sheol. Its flashes are flashes of fire, a very flame of the LORD. (Sheol h7585)
Kai hae na palung nuiah catui daeng ah loe, na ban tampawk nuiah tacik to daeng ah; amlunghaih loe duekhaih baktiah thacak; uthaih palungthin loe taprong baktiah palung maengh; anih loe hmaipalai baktiah kangh moe, thacak hmai kangqong baktiah oh. (Sheol h7585)
7 Many waters can’t quench love, neither can floods drown it. If a man would give all the wealth of his house for love, he would be utterly scorned.
Amlunghaih loe pop parai tui mah paduek thai ai, vapui tui mah doeh pazawk thai ai; amlunghaih tawnh pongah, kami mah a tawnh ih hmuennawk boih paek han koeh cadoeh, kasae thuihaih om toengtoeng vop tih.
8 We have a little sister. She has no breasts. What shall we do for our sister in the day when she is to be spoken for?
Aicae mah tanuh maeto a tawnh o, anih loe tahnu doeh om ai vop; anih to zu ah dueng o nahaeloe, anih hanah timaw a sak pae o han?
9 If she is a wall, we will build on her a turret of silver. If she is a door, we will enclose her with boards of cedar.
Anih loe sipae ah om nahaeloe, anih nuiah sumkanglung imsang to ka sak pae o han; anih loe thok ah om nahaeloe, anih to sidar thingphaek hoiah ka padap o han.
10 I am a wall, and my breasts like towers, then I was in his eyes like one who found peace.
Kai loe sipae ah ka oh, kai ih tahnu loe kasang imnawk baktiah oh; to pongah a hmaa ah palung han koiah ka oh.
11 Solomon had a vineyard at Baal Hamon. He leased out the vineyard to keepers. Each was to bring a thousand shekels of silver for its fruit.
Solomon loe Baal Hamon ah misur takha maeto tawnh; to misur takha loe minawk hanah toepsak; athaih to caak o pongah kami maeto boih mah sumkanglung phoisa sangto sinh o.
12 My own vineyard is before me. The thousand are for you, Solomon, two hundred for those who tend its fruit.
Kai ih misur takha loe ka hmaa ah oh, kaimah han khue ni oh; Aw Solomon, phoisa sangto loe nangmah hanah suem ah, cumvai hnetto loe takha khenzawnkung hanah paek ah.
13 You who dwell in the gardens, with friends in attendance, let me hear your voice!
Takha thungah kaom kami, nam puinawk loe na lok to tahngaih o; kai doeh lok na tahngaisak toeng ah.
14 Come away, my beloved! Be like a gazelle or a young stag on the mountains of spices!
Ka tlangai, karangah angzo ah, hmuihoih maenawk nui ih tasuk baktiah angzo ah.
