Romans 7
1 Or don’t you know, brothers (for I speak to men who know the law), that the law has dominion over a man for as long as he lives?
ಹೇ ಭ್ರಾತೃಗಣ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾವಿದಃ ಪ್ರತಿ ಮಮೇದಂ ನಿವೇದನಂ| ವಿಧಿಃ ಕೇವಲಂ ಯಾವಜ್ಜೀವಂ ಮಾನವೋಪರ್ಯ್ಯಧಿಪತಿತ್ವಂ ಕರೋತೀತಿ ಯೂಯಂ ಕಿಂ ನ ಜಾನೀಥ?
2 For the woman that has a husband is bound by law to the husband while he lives, but if the husband dies, she is discharged from the law of the husband.
ಯಾವತ್ಕಾಲಂ ಪತಿ ರ್ಜೀವತಿ ತಾವತ್ಕಾಲಮ್ ಊಢಾ ಭಾರ್ಯ್ಯಾ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಯಾ ತಸ್ಮಿನ್ ಬದ್ಧಾ ತಿಷ್ಠತಿ ಕಿನ್ತು ಯದಿ ಪತಿ ರ್ಮ್ರಿಯತೇ ತರ್ಹಿ ಸಾ ನಾರೀ ಪತ್ಯು ರ್ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾತೋ ಮುಚ್ಯತೇ|
3 So then if, while the husband lives, she is joined to another man, she would be called an adulteress. But if the husband dies, she is free from the law, so that she is no adulteress, though she is joined to another man.
ಏತತ್ಕಾರಣಾತ್ ಪತ್ಯುರ್ಜೀವನಕಾಲೇ ನಾರೀ ಯದ್ಯನ್ಯಂ ಪುರುಷಂ ವಿವಹತಿ ತರ್ಹಿ ಸಾ ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರಿಣೀ ಭವತಿ ಕಿನ್ತು ಯದಿ ಸ ಪತಿ ರ್ಮ್ರಿಯತೇ ತರ್ಹಿ ಸಾ ತಸ್ಯಾ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಯಾ ಮುಕ್ತಾ ಸತೀ ಪುರುಷಾನ್ತರೇಣ ವ್ಯೂಢಾಪಿ ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರಿಣೀ ನ ಭವತಿ|
4 Therefore, my brothers, you also were made dead to the law through the body of Messiah, that you would be joined to another, to him who was raised from the dead, that we might produce fruit to God.
ಹೇ ಮಮ ಭ್ರಾತೃಗಣ, ಈಶ್ವರನಿಮಿತ್ತಂ ಯದಸ್ಮಾಕಂ ಫಲಂ ಜಾಯತೇ ತದರ್ಥಂ ಶ್ಮಶಾನಾದ್ ಉತ್ಥಾಪಿತೇನ ಪುರುಷೇಣ ಸಹ ಯುಷ್ಮಾಕಂ ವಿವಾಹೋ ಯದ್ ಭವೇತ್ ತದರ್ಥಂ ಖ್ರೀಷ್ಟಸ್ಯ ಶರೀರೇಣ ಯೂಯಂ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಂ ಪ್ರತಿ ಮೃತವನ್ತಃ|
5 For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were through the law worked in our members to bring out fruit to death.
ಯತೋಽಸ್ಮಾಕಂ ಶಾರೀರಿಕಾಚರಣಸಮಯೇ ಮರಣನಿಮಿತ್ತಂ ಫಲಮ್ ಉತ್ಪಾದಯಿತುಂ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಯಾ ದೂಷಿತಃ ಪಾಪಾಭಿಲಾಷೋಽಸ್ಮಾಕಮ್ ಅಙ್ಗೇಷು ಜೀವನ್ ಆಸೀತ್|
6 But now we have been discharged from the law, having died to that in which we were held; so that we serve in newness of the spirit, and not in oldness of the letter.
ಕಿನ್ತು ತದಾ ಯಸ್ಯಾ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಯಾ ವಶೇ ಆಸ್ಮಹಿ ಸಾಮ್ಪ್ರತಂ ತಾಂ ಪ್ರತಿ ಮೃತತ್ವಾದ್ ವಯಂ ತಸ್ಯಾ ಅಧೀನತ್ವಾತ್ ಮುಕ್ತಾ ಇತಿ ಹೇತೋರೀಶ್ವರೋಽಸ್ಮಾಭಿಃ ಪುರಾತನಲಿಖಿತಾನುಸಾರಾತ್ ನ ಸೇವಿತವ್ಯಃ ಕಿನ್ತು ನವೀನಸ್ವಭಾವೇನೈವ ಸೇವಿತವ್ಯಃ
7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? May it never be! However, I wouldn’t have known sin except through the law. For I wouldn’t have known coveting unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.”
ತರ್ಹಿ ವಯಂ ಕಿಂ ಬ್ರೂಮಃ? ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾ ಕಿಂ ಪಾಪಜನಿಕಾ ಭವತಿ? ನೇತ್ಥಂ ಭವತು| ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಮ್ ಅವಿದ್ಯಮಾನಾಯಾಂ ಪಾಪಂ ಕಿಮ್ ಇತ್ಯಹಂ ನಾವೇದಂ; ಕಿಞ್ಚ ಲೋಭಂ ಮಾ ಕಾರ್ಷೀರಿತಿ ಚೇದ್ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಗ್ರನ್ಥೇ ಲಿಖಿತಂ ನಾಭವಿಷ್ಯತ್ ತರ್ಹಿ ಲೋಭಃ ಕಿಮ್ಭೂತಸ್ತದಹಂ ನಾಜ್ಞಾಸ್ಯಂ|
8 But sin, finding occasion through the commandment, produced in me all kinds of coveting. For apart from the law, sin is dead.
ಕಿನ್ತು ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಯಾ ಪಾಪಂ ಛಿದ್ರಂ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ಯಾಸ್ಮಾಕಮ್ ಅನ್ತಃ ಸರ್ವ್ವವಿಧಂ ಕುತ್ಸಿತಾಭಿಲಾಷಮ್ ಅಜನಯತ್; ಯತೋ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಯಾಮ್ ಅವಿದ್ಯಮಾನಾಯಾಂ ಪಾಪಂ ಮೃತಂ|
9 I was alive apart from the law once, but when the commandment came, sin revived and I died.
ಅಪರಂ ಪೂರ್ವ್ವಂ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಯಾಮ್ ಅವಿದ್ಯಮಾನಾಯಾಮ್ ಅಹಮ್ ಅಜೀವಂ ತತಃ ಪರಮ್ ಆಜ್ಞಾಯಾಮ್ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತಾಯಾಮ್ ಪಾಪಮ್ ಅಜೀವತ್ ತದಾಹಮ್ ಅಮ್ರಿಯೇ|
10 The commandment which was for life, this I found to be for death;
ಇತ್ಥಂ ಸತಿ ಜೀವನನಿಮಿತ್ತಾ ಯಾಜ್ಞಾ ಸಾ ಮಮ ಮೃತ್ಯುಜನಿಕಾಭವತ್|
11 for sin, finding occasion through the commandment, deceived me, and through it killed me.
ಯತಃ ಪಾಪಂ ಛಿದ್ರಂ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ಯ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಿತಾದೇಶೇನ ಮಾಂ ವಞ್ಚಯಿತ್ವಾ ತೇನ ಮಾಮ್ ಅಹನ್|
12 Therefore the law indeed is holy, and the commandment holy, righteous, and good.
ಅತಏವ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾ ಪವಿತ್ರಾ, ಆದೇಶಶ್ಚ ಪವಿತ್ರೋ ನ್ಯಾಯ್ಯೋ ಹಿತಕಾರೀ ಚ ಭವತಿ|
13 Did then that which is good become death to me? May it never be! But sin, that it might be shown to be sin, was producing death in me through that which is good; that through the commandment sin might become exceedingly sinful.
ತರ್ಹಿ ಯತ್ ಸ್ವಯಂ ಹಿತಕೃತ್ ತತ್ ಕಿಂ ಮಮ ಮೃತ್ಯುಜನಕಮ್ ಅಭವತ್? ನೇತ್ಥಂ ಭವತು; ಕಿನ್ತು ಪಾಪಂ ಯತ್ ಪಾತಕಮಿವ ಪ್ರಕಾಶತೇ ತಥಾ ನಿದೇಶೇನ ಪಾಪಂ ಯದತೀವ ಪಾತಕಮಿವ ಪ್ರಕಾಶತೇ ತದರ್ಥಂ ಹಿತೋಪಾಯೇನ ಮಮ ಮರಣಮ್ ಅಜನಯತ್|
14 For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am fleshly, sold under sin.
ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾತ್ಮಬೋಧಿಕೇತಿ ವಯಂ ಜಾನೀಮಃ ಕಿನ್ತ್ವಹಂ ಶಾರೀರತಾಚಾರೀ ಪಾಪಸ್ಯ ಕ್ರೀತಕಿಙ್ಕರೋ ವಿದ್ಯೇ|
15 For I don’t understand what I am doing. For I don’t practise what I desire to do; but what I hate, that I do.
ಯತೋ ಯತ್ ಕರ್ಮ್ಮ ಕರೋಮಿ ತತ್ ಮಮ ಮನೋಽಭಿಮತಂ ನಹಿ; ಅಪರಂ ಯನ್ ಮಮ ಮನೋಽಭಿಮತಂ ತನ್ನ ಕರೋಮಿ ಕಿನ್ತು ಯದ್ ಋತೀಯೇ ತತ್ ಕರೋಮಿ|
16 But if what I don’t desire, that I do, I consent to the law that it is good.
ತಥಾತ್ವೇ ಯನ್ ಮಮಾನಭಿಮತಂ ತದ್ ಯದಿ ಕರೋಮಿ ತರ್ಹಿ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾ ಸೂತ್ತಮೇತಿ ಸ್ವೀಕರೋಮಿ|
17 So now it is no more I that do it, but sin which dwells in me.
ಅತಏವ ಸಮ್ಪ್ರತಿ ತತ್ ಕರ್ಮ್ಮ ಮಯಾ ಕ್ರಿಯತ ಇತಿ ನಹಿ ಕಿನ್ತು ಮಮ ಶರೀರಸ್ಥೇನ ಪಾಪೇನೈವ ಕ್ರಿಯತೇ|
18 For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwells no good thing. For desire is present with me, but I don’t find it doing that which is good.
ಯತೋ ಮಯಿ, ಅರ್ಥತೋ ಮಮ ಶರೀರೇ, ಕಿಮಪ್ಯುತ್ತಮಂ ನ ವಸತಿ, ಏತದ್ ಅಹಂ ಜಾನಾಮಿ; ಮಮೇಚ್ಛುಕತಾಯಾಂ ತಿಷ್ಠನ್ತ್ಯಾಮಪ್ಯಹಮ್ ಉತ್ತಮಕರ್ಮ್ಮಸಾಧನೇ ಸಮರ್ಥೋ ನ ಭವಾಮಿ|
19 For the good which I desire, I don’t do; but the evil which I don’t desire, that I practise.
ಯತೋ ಯಾಮುತ್ತಮಾಂ ಕ್ರಿಯಾಂ ಕರ್ತ್ತುಮಹಂ ವಾಞ್ಛಾಮಿ ತಾಂ ನ ಕರೋಮಿ ಕಿನ್ತು ಯತ್ ಕುತ್ಸಿತಂ ಕರ್ಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತ್ತುಮ್ ಅನಿಚ್ಛುಕೋಽಸ್ಮಿ ತದೇವ ಕರೋಮಿ|
20 But if what I don’t desire, that I do, it is no more I that do it, but sin which dwells in me.
ಅತಏವ ಯದ್ಯತ್ ಕರ್ಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತ್ತುಂ ಮಮೇಚ್ಛಾ ನ ಭವತಿ ತದ್ ಯದಿ ಕರೋಮಿ ತರ್ಹಿ ತತ್ ಮಯಾ ನ ಕ್ರಿಯತೇ, ಮಮಾನ್ತರ್ವರ್ತ್ತಿನಾ ಪಾಪೇನೈವ ಕ್ರಿಯತೇ|
21 I find then the law that, while I desire to do good, evil is present.
ಭದ್ರಂ ಕರ್ತ್ತುಮ್ ಇಚ್ಛುಕಂ ಮಾಂ ಯೋ ಽಭದ್ರಂ ಕರ್ತ್ತುಂ ಪ್ರವರ್ತ್ತಯತಿ ತಾದೃಶಂ ಸ್ವಭಾವಮೇಕಂ ಮಯಿ ಪಶ್ಯಾಮಿ|
22 For I delight in God’s Torah after the inward person,
ಅಹಮ್ ಆನ್ತರಿಕಪುರುಷೇಣೇಶ್ವರವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಯಾಂ ಸನ್ತುಷ್ಟ ಆಸೇ;
23 but I see a different law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity under the law of sin which is in my members.
ಕಿನ್ತು ತದ್ವಿಪರೀತಂ ಯುಧ್ಯನ್ತಂ ತದನ್ಯಮೇಕಂ ಸ್ವಭಾವಂ ಮದೀಯಾಙ್ಗಸ್ಥಿತಂ ಪ್ರಪಶ್ಯಾಮಿ, ಸ ಮದೀಯಾಙ್ಗಸ್ಥಿತಪಾಪಸ್ವಭಾವಸ್ಯಾಯತ್ತಂ ಮಾಂ ಕರ್ತ್ತುಂ ಚೇಷ್ಟತೇ|
24 What a wretched man I am! Who will deliver me out of the body of this death?
ಹಾ ಹಾ ಯೋಽಹಂ ದುರ್ಭಾಗ್ಯೋ ಮನುಜಸ್ತಂ ಮಾಮ್ ಏತಸ್ಮಾನ್ ಮೃತಾಚ್ಛರೀರಾತ್ ಕೋ ನಿಸ್ತಾರಯಿಷ್ಯತಿ?
25 I thank God through Yeshua the Messiah, our Lord! So then with the mind, I myself serve God’s Torah, but with the flesh, sin’s law.
ಅಸ್ಮಾಕಂ ಪ್ರಭುಣಾ ಯೀಶುಖ್ರೀಷ್ಟೇನ ನಿಸ್ತಾರಯಿತಾರಮ್ ಈಶ್ವರಂ ಧನ್ಯಂ ವದಾಮಿ| ಅತಏವ ಶರೀರೇಣ ಪಾಪವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಯಾ ಮನಸಾ ತು ಈಶ್ವರವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಯಾಃ ಸೇವನಂ ಕರೋಮಿ|
