< Psalms 44 >

1 For the Chief Musician. By the sons of Korah. A contemplative psalm. We have heard with our ears, God; our fathers have told us what work you did in their days, in the days of old.
Abụ Ọma nke dịrị onyeisi abụ. Abụ maskil nke ụmụ Kora. O Chineke, anyị anụla; nna anyị ha agwakwala anyị ihe ndị i mere nʼoge ha, nʼoge gara aga.
2 You drove out the nations with your hand, but you planted them. You afflicted the peoples, but you spread them abroad.
I ji aka gị chụpụ ndị mba ọzọ, ma kụnye nna nna anyị ha dịka osisi. I gwepịara ndị ahụ ma mee ka ndị nna anyị na-eto na-awasa.
3 For they didn’t get the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them; but your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face, because you were favourable to them.
Ọ bụghị site na mma agha ha ka ha ji merie nweta ala a, ha emerighị site nʼike nke aka ha; ọ bụ aka nri gị, aka gị, na ìhè nke ihu gị nyere ha mmeri, nʼihi na ị hụrụ ha nʼanya.
4 God, you are my King. Command victories for Jacob!
Ị bụ eze m na Chineke m, onye na-ekpebi na Jekọb aghaghị inwe mmeri.
5 Through you, we will push down our adversaries. Through your name, we will tread down those who rise up against us.
Nʼihi ọ bụ naanị site nʼike gị, ya na aha gị, ka anyị ji zọda ndị iro anyị nʼokpuru ụkwụ anyị.
6 For I will not trust in my bow, neither will my sword save me.
Atụkwasịghị m obi m nʼụta m, mma agha m anaghị enye m mmeri;
7 But you have saved us from our adversaries, and have shamed those who hate us.
ma i na-enye anyị mmeri nʼebe ndị iro anyị nọ, ị na-eme ka ihere mee ndị na-eguzogide anyị.
8 In God we have made our boast all day long. We will give thanks to your name forever. (Selah)
Nʼime Chineke ka ịnya isi anyị dị ogologo ụbọchị niile, anyị ga-eto aha gị ruo mgbe ebighị ebi. (Sela)
9 But now you rejected us, and brought us to dishonour, and don’t go out with our armies.
Ma ugbu a, ị jụla anyị ma weda anyị nʼala; ị naghị esokwa ndị agha anyị apụ ọzọ.
10 You make us turn back from the adversary. Those who hate us take plunder for themselves.
I mere ka anyị site nʼihu ndị iro anyị gbalaga, i meela ka ndị na-emegide anyị were aka ike napụ anyị ihe bụ nke anyị.
11 You have made us like sheep for food, and have scattered us amongst the nations.
Ị gbakụtara anyị azụ ka e ripịa anyị dịka atụrụ, ma chụsasịa anyị nʼetiti mba niile.
12 You sell your people for nothing, and have gained nothing from their sale.
I rere ndị gị ọnụ ala, ihe i retara ha abaghị uru nye gị.
13 You make us a reproach to our neighbours, a scoffing and a derision to those who are around us.
I meela ka anyị bụrụ nkọcha nye ndị agbataobi anyị, anyị bụ ihe ịkwa emo na ihe ọchị nye ndị gbara anyị gburugburu.
14 You make us a byword amongst the nations, a shaking of the head amongst the peoples.
I meela anyị ka anyị bụrụ ihe ịmaatụ ọchị nʼetiti mba niile, ndị ọbụla hụrụ anyị na-efufe isi na mkparị.
15 All day long my dishonour is before me, and shame covers my face,
Ogologo ụbọchị niile, ihere m dị m nʼihu, ihere m na-ekpuchikwa m ihu,
16 at the taunt of one who reproaches and verbally abuses, because of the enemy and the avenger.
mgbe ndị nkwulu na ndị nkọcha na-eji m eme ihe ọchị, nʼihi onye iro, onye kpebiri ịbọ ọbọ.
17 All this has come on us, yet we haven’t forgotten you. We haven’t been false to your covenant.
Ọ bụ ezie na ihe ndị a adakwasịla anyị, ma anyị echefubeghị gị. Anyị enupubeghị isi nʼọgbụgba ndụ anyị na gị.
18 Our heart has not turned back, neither have our steps strayed from your path,
Obi anyị ahapụbeghị gị! Anyị ahapụbekwaghị iso ụzọ gị.
19 though you have crushed us in the haunt of jackals, and covered us with the shadow of death.
Ma i gwepịara anyị mee ka anyị bụrụ ebe nkịta ọhịa na-akpagharị, jirikwa oke ọchịchịrị kpuchie anyị.
20 If we have forgotten the name of our God, or spread out our hands to a strange god,
Ọ bụrụ na anyị chefuru aha Chineke anyị, maọbụ na anyị gbasaara chi mba ọzọ aka anyị,
21 won’t God search this out? For he knows the secrets of the heart.
ọ bụ na Chineke agaraghị achọpụta ya, ebe ọ maara ihe nzuzo niile dị nʼobi?
22 Yes, for your sake we are killed all day long. We are regarded as sheep for the slaughter.
Ọ bụ nʼihi gị ka anyị na ọnwụ ji agba mgba, ogologo ụbọchị niile. A na-ele anyị anya dịka atụrụ a gaje igbu egbu.
23 Wake up! Why do you sleep, Lord? Arise! Don’t reject us forever.
O, Onyenwe m teta! Gịnị mere i ji arahụ ụra? Kpọtee onwe gị! Ajụkwala anyị ruo mgbe ebighị ebi.
24 Why do you hide your face, and forget our affliction and our oppression?
Gịnị mere i ji ezopụ ihu gị, ma chefuo mmegbu na ịta ahụhụ anyị?
25 For our soul is bowed down to the dust. Our body clings to the earth.
E tidala anyị nʼala, nʼuzuzu, ahụ anyị rapara nʼaja
26 Rise up to help us. Redeem us for your loving kindness’ sake.
Bilie ma nyere anyị aka; gbapụta anyị maka ịhụnanya gị nke na-adịghị agwụ agwụ.
