Psalms 149

1 Praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise in the assembly of the holy ones.

Alleluja! Dziediet Tam Kungam jaunu dziesmu, svēto draudze lai Viņu teic.

2 Let Israel rejoice in him who made them. Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

Israēls lai priecājās iekš sava Radītāja, Ciānas bērni lai līksmojās par savu Ķēniņu!

3 Let them praise his name in the dance! Let them sing praises to him with tambourine and harp!

Lai tie Viņa vārdu teic ar stabulēm, lai tie Viņam dzied ar bungām un koklēm.

4 For the LORD takes pleasure in his people. He crowns the humble with salvation [yeshu`ah].

Jo Tam Kungam labs prāts pie Saviem ļaudīm, Viņš pagodina bēdīgos ar pestīšanu.

5 Let the holy ones rejoice in honour. Let them sing for joy on their beds.

Svētie priecāsies godā, tie līksmosies savās gultās.

6 May the high praises of God be in their mouths, and a two-edged sword in their hand,

Viņu mute paaugstinās Dievu, un viņu rokās būs abējās pusēs griezīgs zobens,

7 to execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples;

Atriebties pie pagāniem un sodīt tautas,

8 to bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;

Saistīt viņu ķēniņus ķēdēs un viņu lielkungus dzelzs pinekļos,

9 to execute on them the written judgement. All his holy ones have this honour. Praise the LORD!
