Philippians 3
1 Finally, my brothers, rejoice in the Lord! To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not tiresome, but for you it is safe.
Resta, irmãos meus, que vos regozijeis no Senhor. Não me é molesto escrever-vos as mesmas coisas, e é segurança para vós.
2 Beware of the dogs; beware of the evil workers; beware of the false circumcision.
Guardai-vos dos cães, guardai-vos dos maus obreiros, guardai-vos da circuncisão;
3 For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, and rejoice in Messiah Yeshua, and have no confidence in the flesh;
Porque a circuncisão somos nós, que servimos a Deus em espírito, e que nos glóriamos em Jesus Cristo, e não confiamos na carne.
4 though I myself might have confidence even in the flesh. If any other man thinks that he has confidence in the flesh, I yet more:
Ainda que também tenho de que confiar na carne; se algum outro cuida que tem de que confiar na carne, ainda mais eu:
5 circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; concerning the law, a Pharisee;
Circuncidado ao oitavo dia, da linhagem de Israel, da tribo de Benjamin, hebreu de hebreus, segundo a lei, fariseo,
6 concerning zeal, persecuting the assembly; concerning the righteousness which is in the law, found blameless.
Segundo o zelo, perseguidor da igreja, segundo a justiça que há na lei, irrepreensível.
7 However, I consider those things that were gain to me as a loss for Messiah.
Mas o que para mim era ganho tive-o por perda por amor de Cristo.
8 Yes most certainly, and I count all things to be a loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Messiah Yeshua, my Lord, for whom I suffered the loss of all things, and count them nothing but refuse, that I may gain Messiah
E, na verdade, tenho também por perda todas as coisas, pela excelência do conhecimento de Cristo Jesus, meu Senhor, por amor do qual contei por perda todas estas coisas, e as considero como esterco, para que possa ganhar a Cristo,
9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own, that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Messiah, the righteousness which is from God by faith,
E seja achado nele, não tendo a minha justiça que vem de lei, mas a que vem da fé em Cristo, a saber, a justiça que vem de Deus pela fé;
10 that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed to his death,
Para conhece-lo, e à virtude da sua ressurreição, e à comunicação de suas aflições, sendo feito conforme a sua morte;
11 if by any means I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.
Para ver se de alguma maneira posso chegar à ressurreição dos mortos.
12 Not that I have already obtained, or am already made perfect; but I press on, that I may take hold of that for which also I was taken hold of by Messiah Yeshua.
Não que já a tenha alcançado, ou que seja perfeito, mas prosigo para alcançar aquilo para o que fui também preso por Cristo Jesus.
13 Brothers, I don’t regard myself as yet having taken hold, but one thing I do: forgetting the things which are behind and stretching forward to the things which are before,
Irmãos, quanto a mim, não julgo que o haja alcançado;
14 I press on towards the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Messiah Yeshua.
Porém uma coisa faço, e é que, esquecendo-me das coisas que atráz ficam, e avançando para as que estão diante de mim, prosigo para o alvo, ao prêmio da soberana vocação de Deus em Cristo Jesus.
15 Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, think this way. If in anything you think otherwise, God will also reveal that to you.
Pelo que todos quantos já somos perfeitos, sintamos isto mesmo; e, se sentis alguma coisa doutra maneira, também Deus vo-lo revelará.
16 Nevertheless, to the extent that we have already attained, let’s walk by the same rule. Let’s be of the same mind.
Porém, naquilo a que já chegamos, andemos segundo a mesma regra, e sintamos o mesmo.
17 Brothers, be imitators together of me, and note those who walk this way, even as you have us for an example.
Sede também meus imitadores, irmãos, e tende cuidado, segundo o exemplo que tendes em nós, pelos que assim andam.
18 For many walk, of whom I told you often, and now tell you even weeping, as the enemies of the cross of Messiah,
Porque muitos andam, dos quais muitas vezes vos disse, e agora também digo, chorando, que são inimigos da cruz de Cristo.
19 whose end is destruction, whose god is the belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who think about earthly things.
Cujo fim é a perdição; cujo Deus é o ventre; e cuja glória é para confusão deles, que só pensam nas coisas terrenas.
20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from where we also wait for a Saviour, the Lord Yeshua the Messiah,
Mas a nossa cidade está nos céus, de onde também esperamos o Salvador, o Senhor Jesus Cristo.
21 who will change the body of our humiliation to be conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working by which he is able even to subject all things to himself.
O qual transformará o nosso corpo abatido, para ser conforme o seu corpo glorioso, segundo o seu eficaz poder de sujeitar também a si todas as coisas.
