Philippians 2
1 If therefore there is any exhortation in Messiah, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any tender mercies and compassion,
POR tanto, si [hay en vosotros] alguna consolacion en Cristo; si algun refrigerio de amor; si alguna comunion del Espíritu; si algunas entrañas y misericordias;
2 make my joy full by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind;
Cumplid mi gozo; que sintais lo mismo, teniendo el mismo amor, unánimes, sintiendo una misma cosa.
3 doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself;
Nada [hagais] por contienda ó por vana gloria; ántes bien en humildad estimándoos inferiores los unos á los otros:
4 each of you not just looking to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others.
No mirando cada uno á lo suyo propio, sino cada cual tambien á lo de los otros.
5 Have this in your mind, which was also in Messiah Yeshua,
Haya pues en vosotros este sentir que [hubo] tambien en Cristo Jesus;
6 who, existing in the form of God, didn’t consider equality with God a thing to be grasped,
El cual, siendo en forma de Dios, no tuvo por usurpacion ser igual á Dios:
7 but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men.
Sin embargo se anonadó á sí mismo, tomando forma de siervo, hecho semejante á los hombres;
8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to the point of death, yes, the death of the cross.
Y hallado en la condicion como hombre, se humilló á sí mismo, hecho obediente hasta la muerte, y muerte de cruz.
9 Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name,
Por lo cual Dios tambien le ensalzó á lo sumo, y dióle un nombre que es sobre todo nombre;
10 that at the name of Yeshua every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth,
Para que en el nombre de Jesus se doble toda rodilla de los [que están] en los cielos, y de los [que] en la tierra, y de los [que] debajo de la tierra;
11 and that every tongue should confess that Yeshua the Messiah is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Y toda lengua confiese que Jesu-Cristo es el Señor, á la gloria de Dios Padre.
12 So then, my beloved, even as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
Por tanto, amados mios, como siempre habeis obedecido, no como en mi presencia solamente, sino mucho más ahora en mi ausencia, ocupáos en vuestra salvacion con temor y temblor.
13 For it is God who works in you both to will and to work for his good pleasure.
Porque Dios es el que en vosotros obra así el querer como el hacer por su buena voluntad.
14 Do all things without complaining and arguing,
Haced todo sin murmuraciones y contiendas,
15 that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without defect in the middle of a crooked and perverse generation, amongst whom you are seen as lights in the world,
Para que seais irreprensibles y sencillos, hijos de Dios, sin culpa, en medio de la nacion maligna y perversa, entre los cuales resplandeceis como luminares en el mundo;
16 holding up the word of life, that I may have something to boast in the day of Messiah that I didn’t run in vain nor labour in vain.
Reteniendo la palabra de vida, para que yo pueda gloriarme en el dia de Cristo, que no he corrido en vano ni trabajado en vano.
17 Yes, and if I am poured out on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all.
Y aun si soy derramado [en libacion] sobre el sacrificio y servicio de vuestra fé, me gozo y congratulo por todos vosotros.
18 In the same way, you also should be glad and rejoice with me.
Y asimismo gozáos tambien vosotros, y regocijáos conmigo.
19 But I hope in the Lord Yeshua to send Timothy to you soon, that I also may be cheered up when I know how you are doing.
Mas espero en el Señor Jesus enviaros presto á Timotéo, para que yo tambien esté de buen ánimo, entendido vuestro estado.
20 For I have no one else like-minded, who will truly care about you.
Porque á ninguno tengo tan unánime, y que con sincera aficion esté solícito por vosotros.
21 For they all seek their own, not the things of Yeshua the Messiah.
Porque todos buscan lo suyo propio, no lo que es de Cristo Jesus.
22 But you know that he has proved himself. As a child serves a father, so he served with me in furtherance of the Good News.
Pero la experiencia de él habeis conocido, que como hijo á padre ha servido conmigo en el Evangelio.
23 Therefore I hope to send him at once, as soon as I see how it will go with me.
Así que á este espero enviaros, luego que yo viere como van mis negocios.
24 But I trust in the Lord that I myself also will come shortly.
Y confio en el Señor que yo tambien iré presto [á vosotros.]
25 But I thought it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, fellow worker, fellow soldier, and your emissary and servant of my need,
Mas tuve por cosa necesaria enviaros á Epafrodito, mi hermano, y colaborador y compañero de milicia, y vuestro mensajero, y ministrador de mis necesidades.
26 since he longed for you all, and was very troubled because you had heard that he was sick.
Porque tenia gran deseo de [ver á] todos vosotros; y gravemente se angustió porque habiais oido que habia enfermado.
27 For indeed he was sick nearly to death, but God had mercy on him, and not on him only, but on me also, that I might not have sorrow on sorrow.
Pues en verdad estuvo enfermo, á la muerte: mas Dios tuvo misericordia de él; y no solamente de él, sino aun de mí, para que yo no tuviese tristeza sobre tristeza.
28 I have sent him therefore the more diligently, that when you see him again, you may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful.
Así que le envio más presto, para que viéndole os volvais á gozar, y yo esté con ménos tristeza.
29 Receive him therefore in the Lord with all joy, and hold such people in honour,
Recibidle pues en el Señor con todo gozo; y tened en estima á los tales:
30 because for the work of Messiah he came near to death, risking his life to supply that which was lacking in your service towards me.
Porque por la obra de Cristo estuvo cercano á la muerte, poniendo su vida para suplir vuestra falta en mi servicio.
