Philemon 1
1 Paul, a prisoner of Messiah Yeshua, and Timothy our brother, to Philemon, our beloved fellow worker,
Paulo, prisioneiro de Jesus Cristo, e o irmão Timotheo, ao amado Philemon, nosso cooperador,
2 to the beloved Apphia, to Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the assembly in your house:
E à amada Apphia, e a Archippo, companheiro de nossa milícia, e à igreja que está em tua casa:
3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Yeshua the Messiah.
Graça a vós e paz da parte de Deus nosso Pai, e da do Senhor Jesus Cristo.
4 I thank my God always, making mention of you in my prayers,
Graças dou ao meu Deus, lembrando-me sempre de ti nas minhas orações;
5 hearing of your love and of the faith which you have towards the Lord Yeshua and towards all the holy ones,
Ouvindo a tua caridade e a fé que tens para com o Senhor Jesus Cristo, e para com todos os santos:
6 that the fellowship of your faith may become effective in the knowledge of every good thing which is in us in Messiah Yeshua.
Para que a comunicação da tua fé seja eficaz no conhecimento de todo o bem que em vós há por Cristo Jesus.
7 For we have much joy and comfort in your love, because the hearts of the holy ones have been refreshed through you, brother.
Porque tive grande gozo e consolação da tua caridade, porque por ti, ó irmão, as entranhas dos santos foram recreadas.
8 Therefore though I have all boldness in Messiah to command you that which is appropriate,
Pelo que, ainda que tenha em Cristo grande confiança para te mandar o que te convém,
9 yet for love’s sake I rather appeal to you, being such a one as Paul, the aged, but also a prisoner of Yeshua the Messiah.
Todavia peço-te antes por caridade, sendo eu tal como sou, Paulo o velho, e também agora prisioneiro de Jesus Cristo.
10 I appeal to you for my child Onesimus, whom I have become the father of in my chains,
Peço-te por meu filho Onésimo, que gerei nas minhas prisões;
11 who once was useless to you, but now is useful to you and to me.
O qual de antes te era inútil, mas agora a ti e a mim muito útil; eu to tornei a enviar.
12 I am sending him back. Therefore receive him, that is, my own heart,
Tu, porém, torna a recebe-lo como às minhas entranhas.
13 whom I desired to keep with me, that on your behalf he might serve me in my chains for the Good News.
Eu bem o quizera reter comigo, para que por ti me servisse nas prisões do evangelho;
14 But I was willing to do nothing without your consent, that your goodness would not be as of necessity, but of free will.
Porém nada quis fazer sem o teu parecer, para que o teu benefício não fosse como por força, mas voluntário.
15 For perhaps he was therefore separated from you for a while that you would have him forever, (aiōnios g166)
Porque bem pode ser que ele se tenha por isso apartado de ti por algum tempo, para que o retivesses para sempre: (aiōnios g166)
16 no longer as a slave, but more than a slave, a beloved brother—especially to me, but how much rather to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord.
Não já como servo, antes, mais do que servo, como irmão amado, particularmente de mim: e quanto mais de ti, assim na carne como no Senhor?
17 If then you count me a partner, receive him as you would receive me.
Assim pois, se me tens por companheiro, recebe-o como a mim mesmo.
18 But if he has wronged you at all or owes you anything, put that to my account.
E, se te fez algum dano, ou te deve alguma coisa, põe-no à minha conta.
19 I, Paul, write this with my own hand: I will repay it (not to mention to you that you owe to me even your own self besides).
Eu, Paulo, de minha própria mão o escrevi; eu o pagarei, por te não dizer que ainda mesmo a ti próprio a mim te deves.
20 Yes, brother, let me have joy from you in the Lord. Refresh my heart in the Lord.
Sim, irmão, eu me regozijarei de ti no Senhor: recreia as minhas entranhas no Senhor.
21 Having confidence in your obedience, I write to you, knowing that you will do even beyond what I say.
Escrevi-te confiado na tua obediência, sabendo que ainda farás mais do que digo.
22 Also, prepare a guest room for me, for I hope that through your prayers I will be restored to you.
E juntamente prepara-me também pousada, porque espero que pelas vossas orações vos hei de ser concedido.
23 Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Messiah Yeshua, greets you,
