Nehemiah 7
1 Now when the wall was built and I had set up the doors, and the gatekeepers and the singers and the Levites were appointed,

2 I put my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the governor of the fortress, in charge of Jerusalem; for he was a faithful man and feared God above many.
Hice a mi hermano Hanani, y a Hananías, el gobernante de la torre, responsable del gobierno de Jerusalén: porque era un hombre de buena fe, que temía a Dios más que la mayoría.
3 I said to them, “Don’t let the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun is hot; and while they stand guard, let them shut the doors, and you bar them; and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, everyone in his watch, with everyone near his house.”
Y les dije: No se abran las puertas de Jerusalén hasta que salga el sol; y mientras los vigilantes estén en sus lugares, que las puertas se cierren y se cierren con llave; y que la gente de Jerusalén sea puesta en guardia, cada uno en su guardia, frente a su casa.
4 Now the city was wide and large; but the people were few therein, and the houses were not built.
Ahora el pueblo era ancho y grande: pero la gente que había en él era poca, porque las casas no habían sido reconstruidas.
5 My God put into my heart to gather together the nobles, and the rulers, and the people, that they might be listed by genealogy. I found the book of the genealogy of those who came up at the first, and I found this written in it:

6 These are the children of the province who went up out of the captivity of those who had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away, and who returned to Jerusalem and to Judah, everyone to his city,
Estas son las personas de las divisiones del reino, entre los que fueron hechos prisioneros por Nabucodonosor, el rey de Babilonia, y llevados por él, quienes regresaron a Jerusalén y Judá, cada uno a su ciudad;
7 who came with Zerubbabel, Yeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, and Baanah. The number of the men of the people of Israel:

8 The children of Parosh: two thousand and one hundred and seventy-two.

9 The children of Shephatiah: three hundred and seventy-two.

10 The children of Arah: six hundred and fifty-two.

11 The children of Pahathmoab, of the children of Yeshua and Joab: two thousand and eight hundred and eighteen.

12 The children of Elam: one thousand and two hundred and fifty-four.

13 The children of Zattu: eight hundred and forty-five.

14 The children of Zaccai: seven hundred and sixty.

15 The children of Binnui: six hundred and forty-eight.

16 The children of Bebai: six hundred and twenty-eight.

17 The children of Azgad: two thousand and three hundred and twenty-two.

18 The children of Adonikam: six hundred and sixty-seven.

19 The children of Bigvai: two thousand and sixty-seven.

20 The children of Adin: six hundred and fifty-five.

21 The children of Ater: of Hezekiah, ninety-eight.

58 the children of Jaala, the children of Darkon, the children of Giddel,

59 the children of Shephatiah, the children of Hattil, the children of Pochereth Hazzebaim, and the children of Amon.

60 All the temple servants and the children of Solomon’s servants were three hundred and ninety-two.

61 These were those who went up from Tel Melah, Tel Harsha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer; but they could not show their fathers’ houses, nor their offspring, whether they were of Israel:

62 The children of Delaiah, the children of Tobiah, the children of Nekoda: six hundred and forty-two.
Los hijos de Delaía, los hijos de Tobías, los hijos de Necoda, seiscientos cuarenta y dos.
63 Of the priests: the children of Hobaiah, the children of Hakkoz, the children of Barzillai, who took a wife of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and was called after their name.
Y de los sacerdotes: los hijos de Habaia, los hijos de Cos, los hijos de Barzilai, que estaba casado con una de las hijas de Barzilai de Galaad, y tomaron su nombre.
64 These searched for their genealogical records, but couldn’t find them. Therefore they were deemed disqualified and removed from the priesthood.
Hicieron una búsqueda de su registro entre las listas de familias, pero sus nombres no se vieron por ninguna parte, por lo que se les consideró impuros y ya no eran sacerdotes.
65 The governor told them not to eat of the most holy things until a priest stood up to minister with Urim and Thummim.
Y él gobernador les ordenó que no debían tener las cosas más sagradas para su alimento, hasta que un sacerdote viniera a dar una decisión por el Urim y Tumim.
66 The whole assembly together was forty-two thousand and three hundred and sixty,

67 in addition to their male servants and their female servants, of whom there were seven thousand and three hundred and thirty-seven. They had two hundred and forty-five singing men and singing women.
Así como sus sirvientes y sus siervas, de los cuales había siete mil trescientos treinta y siete; y tenían doscientos cuarenta y cinco hombres y mujeres cantores.
68 Their horses were seven hundred and thirty-six; their mules, two hundred and forty-five;
Tenían setecientos treinta y seis caballos, doscientos cuarenta y cinco bestias de transporte;
69 their camels, four hundred and thirty-five; their donkeys, six thousand and seven hundred and twenty.
Cuatrocientos treinta y cinco camellos, seis mil setecientos veinte asnos.
70 Some from amongst the heads of fathers’ households gave to the work. The governor gave to the treasury one thousand darics of gold, fifty basins, and five hundred and thirty priests’ garments.
Y algunos de los jefes de familia dieron dinero para el trabajo. El gobernador entregó en la tienda mil dracmas de oro, cincuenta tazones, quinientos treinta túnicas de sacerdotes.
71 Some of the heads of fathers’ households gave into the treasury of the work twenty thousand darics of gold, and two thousand and two hundred minas of silver.
Y algunos de los jefes de familia entregaron a la tesorería para el trabajo veinte mil dracmas de oro, y dos mil doscientas libras de plata.
72 That which the rest of the people gave was twenty thousand darics of gold, plus two thousand minas of silver, and sixty-seven priests’ garments.
Y lo que el resto del pueblo dio fueron veinte mil dracmas de oro, y dos mil libras de plata, y sesenta y siete túnicas de sacerdotes.
73 So the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, some of the people, the temple servants, and all Israel lived in their cities. When the seventh month had come, the children of Israel were in their cities.
Así que los sacerdotes y los levitas y los encargados de las puertas y los creadores de música y algunas personas y los sirvientes del templo, y todo Israel, vivían en sus pueblos.
