Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni gbogbo wọ́n jẹ́ ìran mẹ́rìnlá láti orí Abrahamu dé orí Dafidi, ìran mẹ́rìnlá á láti orí Dafidi títí dé ìkólọ sí Babeli, àti ìran mẹ́rìnlá láti ìkólọ títí dé orí Kristi.
18 Now the birth of Yeshua the Messiah was like this: After his mother, Miriam, was engaged to Joseph, before they came together, she was found pregnant by the Holy Spirit.
Bí a ṣe bí Jesu Kristi nìyí, ní àkókò ti àdéhùn ìgbéyàwó ti parí láàrín Maria ìyá rẹ̀ àti Josẹfu, ṣùgbọ́n kí wọn tó pàdé, a rí i ó lóyún láti ọwọ́ Ẹ̀mí Mímọ́.
19 Joseph, her husband, being a righteous man, and not willing to make her a public example, intended to put her away secretly.
Nítorí Josẹfu ọkọ rẹ̀ tí í ṣe olóòtítọ́ ènìyàn kò fẹ́ dójútì í ní gbangba, ó ní èrò láti kọ̀ ọ́ sílẹ̀ ní ìkọ̀kọ̀.
20 But when he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, don’t be afraid to take to yourself Miriam as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.
Ṣùgbọ́n nígbà tí ó ro èrò yìí tán, angẹli Olúwa yọ sí i ní ojú àlá, ó wí pé, “Josẹfu, ọmọ Dafidi, má fòyà láti fi Maria ṣe aya rẹ, nítorí oyún tí ó wà nínú rẹ̀ láti ọwọ́ Ẹ̀mí Mímọ́ ni.
21 She shall give birth to a son. You shall name him Yeshua, for it is he who shall save his people from their sins.”
Òun yóò sì bí ọmọkùnrin, ìwọ yóò sì pe orúkọ rẹ̀ ní Jesu, nítorí òun ni yóò gba àwọn ènìyàn rẹ̀ là kúrò nínú ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ wọn.”
22 Now all this has happened that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying,
Gbogbo nǹkan wọ̀nyí sì ṣẹ láti mú ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa ṣẹ èyí tí a sọ láti ẹnu wòlíì rẹ̀ wá pé:
23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall give birth to a son. They shall call his name Immanuel,” which is, being interpreted, “God with us.”
“Wúńdíá kan yóò lóyún, yóò sì bí ọmọkùnrin kan, yóò sì pe orúkọ rẹ̀ ní Emmanueli,” (èyí tí ó túmọ̀ sí “Ọlọ́run wà pẹ̀lú wa”).
24 Joseph arose from his sleep, and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took his wife to himself;
Nígbà tí Josẹfu jí lójú oorun rẹ̀, òun ṣe gẹ́gẹ́ bí angẹli Olúwa ti pàṣẹ fún un. Ó mú Maria wá sílé rẹ̀ ní aya.
25 and didn’t know her sexually until she had given birth to her firstborn son. He named him Yeshua.
Ṣùgbọ́n òun kò mọ̀ ọ́n títí tí ó fi bí ọmọkùnrin, òun sì sọ orúkọ rẹ̀ ní Jesu.
