Matthew 23
1 Then Yeshua spoke to the multitudes and to his disciples,
ଅନନ୍ତରଂ ଯୀଶୁ ର୍ଜନନିୱହଂ ଶିଷ୍ୟାଂଶ୍ଚାୱଦତ୍,
2 saying, “The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses’ seat.
ଅଧ୍ୟାପକାଃ ଫିରୂଶିନଶ୍ଚ ମୂସାସନେ ଉପୱିଶନ୍ତି,
3 All things therefore whatever they tell you to observe, observe and do, but don’t do their works; for they say, and don’t do.
ଅତସ୍ତେ ଯୁଷ୍ମାନ୍ ଯଦ୍ୟତ୍ ମନ୍ତୁମ୍ ଆଜ୍ଞାପଯନ୍ତି, ତତ୍ ମନ୍ୟଧ୍ୱଂ ପାଲଯଧ୍ୱଞ୍ଚ, କିନ୍ତୁ ତେଷାଂ କର୍ମ୍ମାନୁରୂପଂ କର୍ମ୍ମ ନ କୁରୁଧ୍ୱଂ; ଯତସ୍ତେଷାଂ ୱାକ୍ୟମାତ୍ରଂ ସାରଂ କାର୍ୟ୍ୟେ କିମପି ନାସ୍ତି|
4 For they bind heavy burdens that are grievous to be borne, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not lift a finger to help them.
ତେ ଦୁର୍ୱ୍ୱହାନ୍ ଗୁରୁତରାନ୍ ଭାରାନ୍ ବଦ୍ୱ୍ୱା ମନୁଷ୍ୟାଣାଂ ସ୍କନ୍ଧେପରି ସମର୍ପଯନ୍ତି, କିନ୍ତୁ ସ୍ୱଯମଙ୍ଗୁଲ୍ୟୈକଯାପି ନ ଚାଲଯନ୍ତି|
5 But they do all their works to be seen by men. They make their phylacteries broad and enlarge the fringes of their garments,
କେୱଲଂ ଲୋକଦର୍ଶନାଯ ସର୍ୱ୍ୱକର୍ମ୍ମାଣି କୁର୍ୱ୍ୱନ୍ତି; ଫଲତଃ ପଟ୍ଟବନ୍ଧାନ୍ ପ୍ରସାର୍ୟ୍ୟ ଧାରଯନ୍ତି, ସ୍ୱୱସ୍ତ୍ରେଷୁ ଚ ଦୀର୍ଘଗ୍ରନ୍ଥୀନ୍ ଧାରଯନ୍ତି;
6 and love the place of honour at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues,
ଭୋଜନଭୱନ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ଥାନଂ, ଭଜନଭୱନେ ପ୍ରଧାନମାସନଂ,
7 the salutations in the marketplaces, and to be called ‘Rabbi, Rabbi’ by men.
ହଟ୍ଠେ ନମସ୍କାରଂ ଗୁରୁରିତି ସମ୍ବୋଧନଞ୍ଚୈତାନି ସର୍ୱ୍ୱାଣି ୱାଞ୍ଛନ୍ତି|
8 But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi’, for one is your Rabbi, the Messiah, and all of you are brothers.
କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୂଯଂ ଗୁରୱ ଇତି ସମ୍ବୋଧନୀଯା ମା ଭୱତ, ଯତୋ ଯୁଷ୍ମାକମ୍ ଏକଃ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଏୱ ଗୁରୁ
9 Call no man on the earth your father, for one is your Father, he who is in heaven.
ର୍ୟୂଯଂ ସର୍ୱ୍ୱେ ମିଥୋ ଭ୍ରାତରଶ୍ଚ| ପୁନଃ ପୃଥିୱ୍ୟାଂ କମପି ପିତେତି ମା ସମ୍ବୁଧ୍ୟଧ୍ୱଂ, ଯତୋ ଯୁଷ୍ମାକମେକଃ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗସ୍ଥଏୱ ପିତା|
10 Neither be called masters, for one is your master, the Messiah.
ଯୂଯଂ ନାଯକେତି ସମ୍ଭାଷିତା ମା ଭୱତ, ଯତୋ ଯୁଷ୍ମାକମେକଃ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଏୱ ନାଯକଃ|
11 But he who is greatest amongst you will be your servant.
ଅପରଂ ଯୁଷ୍ମାକଂ ମଧ୍ୟେ ଯଃ ପୁମାନ୍ ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠଃ ସ ଯୁଷ୍ମାନ୍ ସେୱିଷ୍ୟତେ|
12 Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.
ଯତୋ ଯଃ ସ୍ୱମୁନ୍ନମତି, ସ ନତଃ କରିଷ୍ୟତେ; କିନ୍ତୁ ଯଃ କଶ୍ଚିତ୍ ସ୍ୱମୱନତଂ କରୋତି, ସ ଉନ୍ନତଃ କରିଷ୍ୟତେ|
13 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you devour widows’ houses, and as a pretence you make long prayers. Therefore you will receive greater condemnation.
ହନ୍ତ କପଟିନ ଉପାଧ୍ୟାଯାଃ ଫିରୂଶିନଶ୍ଚ, ଯୂଯଂ ମନୁଜାନାଂ ସମକ୍ଷଂ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗଦ୍ୱାରଂ ରୁନ୍ଧ, ଯୂଯଂ ସ୍ୱଯଂ ତେନ ନ ପ୍ରୱିଶଥ, ପ୍ରୱିୱିକ୍ଷୂନପି ୱାରଯଥ| ୱତ କପଟିନ ଉପାଧ୍ୟାଯାଃ ଫିରୂଶିନଶ୍ଚ ଯୂଯଂ ଛଲାଦ୍ ଦୀର୍ଘଂ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥ୍ୟ ୱିଧୱାନାଂ ସର୍ୱ୍ୱସ୍ୱଂ ଗ୍ରସଥ, ଯୁଷ୍ମାକଂ ଘୋରତରଦଣ୍ଡୋ ଭୱିଷ୍ୟତି|
14 “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you shut up the Kingdom of Heaven against men; for you don’t enter in yourselves, neither do you allow those who are entering in to enter.
ହନ୍ତ କପଟିନ ଉପାଧ୍ୟାଯାଃ ଫିରୂଶିନଶ୍ଚ, ଯୂଯମେକଂ ସ୍ୱଧର୍ମ୍ମାୱଲମ୍ବିନଂ କର୍ତ୍ତୁଂ ସାଗରଂ ଭୂମଣ୍ଡଲଞ୍ଚ ପ୍ରଦକ୍ଷିଣୀକୁରୁଥ,
15 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel around by sea and land to make one proselyte; and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of Gehinnom as yourselves. (Geenna g1067)
କଞ୍ଚନ ପ୍ରାପ୍ୟ ସ୍ୱତୋ ଦ୍ୱିଗୁଣନରକଭାଜନଂ ତଂ କୁରୁଥ| (Geenna g1067)
16 “Woe to you, you blind guides, who say, ‘Whoever swears by the temple, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gold of the temple, he is obligated.’
ୱତ ଅନ୍ଧପଥଦର୍ଶକାଃ ସର୍ୱ୍ୱେ, ଯୂଯଂ ୱଦଥ, ମନ୍ଦିରସ୍ୟ ଶପଥକରଣାତ୍ କିମପି ନ ଦେଯଂ; କିନ୍ତୁ ମନ୍ଦିରସ୍ଥସୁୱର୍ଣସ୍ୟ ଶପଥକରଣାଦ୍ ଦେଯଂ|
17 You blind fools! For which is greater, the gold or the temple that sanctifies the gold?
ହେ ମୂଢା ହେ ଅନ୍ଧାଃ ସୁୱର୍ଣଂ ତତ୍ସୁୱର୍ଣପାୱକମନ୍ଦିରମ୍ ଏତଯୋରୁଭଯୋ ର୍ମଧ୍ୟେ କିଂ ଶ୍ରେଯଃ?
18 And, ‘Whoever swears by the altar, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gift that is on it, he is obligated.’
ଅନ୍ୟଚ୍ଚ ୱଦଥ, ଯଜ୍ଞୱେଦ୍ୟାଃ ଶପଥକରଣାତ୍ କିମପି ନ ଦେଯଂ, କିନ୍ତୁ ତଦୁପରିସ୍ଥିତସ୍ୟ ନୈୱେଦ୍ୟସ୍ୟ ଶପଥକରଣାଦ୍ ଦେଯଂ|
19 You blind fools! For which is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifies the gift?
ହେ ମୂଢା ହେ ଅନ୍ଧାଃ, ନୈୱେଦ୍ୟଂ ତନ୍ନୈୱେଦ୍ୟପାୱକୱେଦିରେତଯୋରୁଭଯୋ ର୍ମଧ୍ୟେ କିଂ ଶ୍ରେଯଃ?
20 He therefore who swears by the altar, swears by it and by everything on it.
ଅତଃ କେନଚିଦ୍ ଯଜ୍ଞୱେଦ୍ୟାଃ ଶପଥେ କୃତେ ତଦୁପରିସ୍ଥସ୍ୟ ସର୍ୱ୍ୱସ୍ୟ ଶପଥଃ କ୍ରିଯତେ|
21 He who swears by the temple, swears by it and by him who has been living in it.
କେନଚିତ୍ ମନ୍ଦିରସ୍ୟ ଶପଥେ କୃତେ ମନ୍ଦିରତନ୍ନିୱାସିନୋଃ ଶପଥଃ କ୍ରିଯତେ|
22 He who swears by heaven, swears by the throne of God and by him who sits on it.
କେନଚିତ୍ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗସ୍ୟ ଶପଥେ କୃତେ ଈଶ୍ୱରୀଯସିଂହାସନତଦୁପର୍ୟ୍ୟୁପୱିଷ୍ଟଯୋଃ ଶପଥଃ କ୍ରିଯତେ|
23 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint, dill, and cumin, and have left undone the weightier matters of the Torah: justice, mercy, and faith. But you ought to have done these, and not to have left the other undone.
ହନ୍ତ କପଟିନ ଉପାଧ୍ୟାଯାଃ ଫିରୂଶିନଶ୍ଚ, ଯୂଯଂ ପୋଦିନାଯାଃ ସିତଚ୍ଛତ୍ରାଯା ଜୀରକସ୍ୟ ଚ ଦଶମାଂଶାନ୍ ଦତ୍ଥ, କିନ୍ତୁ ୱ୍ୟୱସ୍ଥାଯା ଗୁରୁତରାନ୍ ନ୍ୟାଯଦଯାୱିଶ୍ୱାସାନ୍ ପରିତ୍ୟଜଥ; ଇମେ ଯୁଷ୍ମାଭିରାଚରଣୀଯା ଅମୀ ଚ ନ ଲଂଘନୀଯାଃ|
24 You blind guides, who strain out a gnat, and swallow a camel!
ହେ ଅନ୍ଧପଥଦର୍ଶକା ଯୂଯଂ ମଶକାନ୍ ଅପସାରଯଥ, କିନ୍ତୁ ମହାଙ୍ଗାନ୍ ଗ୍ରସଥ|
25 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and unrighteousness.
ହନ୍ତ କପଟିନ ଉପାଧ୍ୟାଯାଃ ଫିରୂଶିନଶ୍ଚ, ଯୂଯଂ ପାନପାତ୍ରାଣାଂ ଭୋଜନପାତ୍ରାଣାଞ୍ଚ ବହିଃ ପରିଷ୍କୁରୁଥ; କିନ୍ତୁ ତଦଭ୍ୟନ୍ତରଂ ଦୁରାତ୍ମତଯା କଲୁଷେଣ ଚ ପରିପୂର୍ଣମାସ୍ତେ|
26 You blind Pharisee, first clean the inside of the cup and of the platter, that its outside may become clean also.
ହେ ଅନ୍ଧାଃ ଫିରୂଶିଲୋକା ଆଦୌ ପାନପାତ୍ରାଣାଂ ଭୋଜନପାତ୍ରାଣାଞ୍ଚାଭ୍ୟନ୍ତରଂ ପରିଷ୍କୁରୁତ, ତେନ ତେଷାଂ ବହିରପି ପରିଷ୍କାରିଷ୍ୟତେ|
27 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitened tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but inwardly are full of dead men’s bones and of all uncleanness.
ହନ୍ତ କପଟିନ ଉପାଧ୍ୟାଯାଃ ଫିରୂଶିନଶ୍ଚ, ଯୂଯଂ ଶୁକ୍ଲୀକୃତଶ୍ମଶାନସ୍ୱରୂପା ଭୱଥ, ଯଥା ଶ୍ମଶାନଭୱନସ୍ୟ ବହିଶ୍ଚାରୁ, କିନ୍ତ୍ୱଭ୍ୟନ୍ତରଂ ମୃତଲୋକାନାଂ କୀକଶୈଃ ସର୍ୱ୍ୱପ୍ରକାରମଲେନ ଚ ପରିପୂର୍ଣମ୍;
28 Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
ତଥୈୱ ଯୂଯମପି ଲୋକାନାଂ ସମକ୍ଷଂ ବହିର୍ଧାର୍ମ୍ମିକାଃ କିନ୍ତ୍ୱନ୍ତଃକରଣେଷୁ କେୱଲକାପଟ୍ୟାଧର୍ମ୍ମାଭ୍ୟାଂ ପରିପୂର୍ଣାଃ|
29 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you build the tombs of the prophets and decorate the tombs of the righteous,
ହା ହା କପଟିନ ଉପାଧ୍ୟାଯାଃ ଫିରୂଶିନଶ୍ଚ, ଯୂଯଂ ଭୱିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ୱାଦିନାଂ ଶ୍ମଶାନଗେହଂ ନିର୍ମ୍ମାଥ, ସାଧୂନାଂ ଶ୍ମଶାନନିକେତନଂ ଶୋଭଯଥ
30 and say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we wouldn’t have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.’
ୱଦଥ ଚ ଯଦି ୱଯଂ ସ୍ୱେଷାଂ ପୂର୍ୱ୍ୱପୁରୁଷାଣାଂ କାଲ ଅସ୍ଥାସ୍ୟାମ, ତର୍ହି ଭୱିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ୱାଦିନାଂ ଶୋଣିତପାତନେ ତେଷାଂ ସହଭାଗିନୋ ନାଭୱିଷ୍ୟାମ|
31 Therefore you testify to yourselves that you are children of those who killed the prophets.
ଅତୋ ଯୂଯଂ ଭୱିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ୱାଦିଘାତକାନାଂ ସନ୍ତାନା ଇତି ସ୍ୱଯମେୱ ସ୍ୱେଷାଂ ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟଂ ଦତ୍ଥ|
32 Fill up, then, the measure of your fathers.
ଅତୋ ଯୂଯଂ ନିଜପୂର୍ୱ୍ୱପୁରୁଷାଣାଂ ପରିମାଣପାତ୍ରଂ ପରିପୂରଯତ|
33 You serpents, you offspring of vipers, how will you escape the judgement of Gehinnom? (Geenna g1067)
ରେ ଭୁଜଗାଃ କୃଷ୍ଣଭୁଜଗୱଂଶାଃ, ଯୂଯଂ କଥଂ ନରକଦଣ୍ଡାଦ୍ ରକ୍ଷିଷ୍ୟଧ୍ୱେ| (Geenna g1067)
34 Therefore, behold, I send to you prophets, wise men, and scribes. Some of them you will kill and crucify; and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city,
ପଶ୍ୟତ, ଯୁଷ୍ମାକମନ୍ତିକମ୍ ଅହଂ ଭୱିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ୱାଦିନୋ ବୁଦ୍ଧିମତ ଉପାଧ୍ୟାଯାଂଶ୍ଚ ପ୍ରେଷଯିଷ୍ୟାମି, କିନ୍ତୁ ତେଷାଂ କତିପଯା ଯୁଷ୍ମାଭି ର୍ଘାନିଷ୍ୟନ୍ତେ, କ୍ରୁଶେ ଚ ଘାନିଷ୍ୟନ୍ତେ, କେଚିଦ୍ ଭଜନଭୱନେ କଷାଭିରାଘାନିଷ୍ୟନ୍ତେ, ନଗରେ ନଗରେ ତାଡିଷ୍ୟନ୍ତେ ଚ;
35 that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berechiah, whom you killed between the sanctuary and the altar.
ତେନ ସତ୍ପୁରୁଷସ୍ୟ ହାବିଲୋ ରକ୍ତପାତମାରଭ୍ୟ ବେରିଖିଯଃ ପୁତ୍ରଂ ଯଂ ସିଖରିଯଂ ଯୂଯଂ ମନ୍ଦିରଯଜ୍ଞୱେଦ୍ୟୋ ର୍ମଧ୍ୟେ ହତୱନ୍ତଃ, ତଦୀଯଶୋଣିତପାତଂ ଯାୱଦ୍ ଅସ୍ମିନ୍ ଦେଶେ ଯାୱତାଂ ସାଧୁପୁରୁଷାଣାଂ ଶୋଣିତପାତୋ ଽଭୱତ୍ ତତ୍ ସର୍ୱ୍ୱେଷାମାଗସାଂ ଦଣ୍ଡା ଯୁଷ୍ମାସୁ ୱର୍ତ୍ତିଷ୍ୟନ୍ତେ|
36 Most certainly I tell you, all these things will come upon this generation.
ଅହଂ ଯୁଷ୍ମାନ୍ତ ତଥ୍ୟଂ ୱଦାମି, ୱିଦ୍ୟମାନେଽସ୍ମିନ୍ ପୁରୁଷେ ସର୍ୱ୍ୱେ ୱର୍ତ୍ତିଷ୍ୟନ୍ତେ|
37 “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I would have gathered your children together, even as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you would not!
ହେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ୍ ହେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ୍ ନଗରି ତ୍ୱଂ ଭୱିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ୱାଦିନୋ ହତୱତୀ, ତୱ ସମୀପଂ ପ୍ରେରିତାଂଶ୍ଚ ପାଷାଣୈରାହତୱତୀ, ଯଥା କୁକ୍କୁଟୀ ଶାୱକାନ୍ ପକ୍ଷାଧଃ ସଂଗୃହ୍ଲାତି, ତଥା ତୱ ସନ୍ତାନାନ୍ ସଂଗ୍ରହୀତୁଂ ଅହଂ ବହୁୱାରମ୍ ଐଚ୍ଛଂ; କିନ୍ତୁ ତ୍ୱଂ ନ ସମମନ୍ୟଥାଃ|
38 Behold, your house is left to you desolate.
ପଶ୍ୟତ ଯଷ୍ମାକଂ ୱାସସ୍ଥାନମ୍ ଉଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନଂ ତ୍ୟକ୍ଷ୍ୟତେ|
39 For I tell you, you will not see me from now on, until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!’”
ଅହଂ ଯୁଷ୍ମାନ୍ ତଥ୍ୟଂ ୱଦାମି, ଯଃ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରସ୍ୟ ନାମ୍ନାଗଚ୍ଛତି, ସ ଧନ୍ୟ ଇତି ୱାଣୀଂ ଯାୱନ୍ନ ୱଦିଷ୍ୟଥ, ତାୱତ୍ ମାଂ ପୁନ ର୍ନ ଦ୍ରକ୍ଷ୍ୟଥ|
