< Matthew 13 >

1 On that day Yeshua went out of the house and sat by the seaside.
Ní ọjọ́ kan náà, Jesu kúrò ní ilé, ó jókòó sí etí Òkun.
2 Great multitudes gathered to him, so that he entered into a boat and sat; and all the multitude stood on the beach.
Ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ ènìyàn péjọ sọ́dọ̀ rẹ̀, tó bẹ́ẹ̀ tí ó fi bọ́ sínú ọkọ̀ ojú omi, ó jókòó, gbogbo ènìyàn sì dúró létí Òkun.
3 He spoke to them many things in parables, saying, “Behold, a farmer went out to sow.
Nígbà náà ni ó fi ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ òwe bá wọn sọ̀rọ̀, wí pé, “Àgbẹ̀ kan jáde lọ gbin irúgbìn sínú oko rẹ̀.
4 As he sowed, some seeds fell by the roadside, and the birds came and devoured them.
Bí ó sì ti gbin irúgbìn náà, díẹ̀ bọ́ sí ẹ̀bá ọ̀nà, àwọn ẹyẹ sì wá, wọ́n sì jẹ ẹ́.
5 Others fell on rocky ground, where they didn’t have much soil, and immediately they sprang up, because they had no depth of earth.
Díẹ̀ bọ́ sórí ilẹ̀ orí àpáta, níbi ti kò sí erùpẹ̀ púpọ̀. Àwọn irúgbìn náà sì dàgbàsókè kíákíá, nítorí erùpẹ̀ kò pọ̀ lórí wọn.
6 When the sun had risen, they were scorched. Because they had no root, they withered away.
Ṣùgbọ́n nígbà tí oòrùn gòkè, oòrùn gbígbóná jó wọn, gbogbo wọn sì rọ, wọ́n kú nítorí wọn kò ni gbòǹgbò.
7 Others fell amongst thorns. The thorns grew up and choked them.
Àwọn irúgbìn mìíràn bọ́ sí àárín ẹ̀gún, ẹ̀gún sì dàgbà, ó sì fún wọn pa.
8 Others fell on good soil and yielded fruit: some one hundred times as much, some sixty, and some thirty.
Ṣùgbọ́n díẹ̀ tó bọ́ sórí ilẹ̀ rere, ó sì so èso, òmíràn ọgọ́rùn-ún, òmíràn ọgọ́tọ̀ọ̀ta, òmíràn ọgbọọgbọ̀n, ni ìlọ́po èyí ti ó gbìn.
9 He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”
Ẹni tí ó bá létí, kí ó gbọ́.”
10 The disciples came, and said to him, “Why do you speak to them in parables?”
Àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn rẹ̀ tọ̀ ọ́ wá, wọ́n bí i pé, “Èéṣe tí ìwọ ń fi òwe bá àwọn ènìyàn sọ̀rọ̀?”
11 He answered them, “To you it is given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven, but it is not given to them.
Ó sì da wọn lóhùn pé, “Ẹ̀yin ni a ti fi fún láti mọ ohun ìjìnlẹ̀ ìjọba ọ̀run, ṣùgbọ́n kì í ṣe fún wọn.
12 For whoever has, to him will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever doesn’t have, from him will be taken away even that which he has.
Ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó ní, òun ni a ó fún sí i, yóò sì ní lọ́pọ̀lọ́pọ̀. Ṣùgbọ́n lọ́wọ́ ẹni tí kò ní, ni a ó ti gbà èyí kékeré tí ó ní náà.
13 Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they don’t see, and hearing, they don’t hear, neither do they understand.
Ìdí nìyìí tí mo fi ń fi òwe bá wọn sọ̀rọ̀: “Ní ti rí rí, wọn kò rí; ní ti gbígbọ́ wọn kò gbọ́, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni kò sì yé wọn.
14 In them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says, ‘By hearing you will hear, and will in no way understand; Seeing you will see, and will in no way perceive;
Sí ara wọn ni a ti mú àsọtẹ́lẹ̀ wòlíì Isaiah ṣẹ: “‘Ní gbígbọ́ ẹ̀yin yóò gbọ́ ṣùgbọ́n kì yóò sì yé yín; ní rí rí ẹ̀yin yóò rí, ṣùgbọ́n ẹ̀yin kì yóò sì mòye.
15 for this people’s heart has grown callous, their ears are dull of hearing, and they have closed their eyes; or else perhaps they might perceive with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their heart, and would turn again, and I would heal them.’
Nítorí àyà àwọn ènìyàn yìí sébọ́ etí wọn sì wúwo láti gbọ́ ojú wọn ni wọ́n sì dì nítorí kí àwọn má ba à fi ojú wọn rí kí wọ́n má ba à fi etí wọn gbọ́ kí wọn má ba à fi àyà wọn mọ̀ òye, kí wọn má ba à yípadà, kí èmi ba à le mú wọn láradá.’
16 “But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear.
Ṣùgbọ́n ìbùkún ni fún ojú yín, nítorí wọ́n ríran, àti fún etí yín, nítorí ti wọ́n gbọ́.
17 For most certainly I tell you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see the things which you see, and didn’t see them; and to hear the things which you hear, and didn’t hear them.
Lóòótọ́ ni mo wí fún yín, ọ̀pọ̀ àwọn wòlíì àti ènìyàn Ọlọ́run ti fẹ́ rí ohun tí ẹ̀yin ti rí, ki wọ́n sì gbọ́ ohun tí ẹ ti gbọ́, ṣùgbọ́n kò ṣe é ṣe fún wọn.
18 “Hear, then, the parable of the farmer.
“Nítorí náà, ẹ fi etí sí ohun tí òwe afúnrúgbìn túmọ̀ sí,
19 When anyone hears the word of the Kingdom and doesn’t understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away that which has been sown in his heart. This is what was sown by the roadside.
nígbà tí ẹnikẹ́ni bá gbọ́ ọ̀rọ̀ nípa ìjọba ọ̀run ṣùgbọ́n tí kò yé e, lẹ́yìn náà èṣù á wá, a sì gba èyí tí a fún sí ọkàn rẹ̀ kúrò. Èyí ni irúgbìn ti a fún sí ẹ̀bá ọ̀nà.
20 What was sown on the rocky places, this is he who hears the word and immediately with joy receives it;
Ẹni tí ó sì gba irúgbìn tí ó bọ́ sí ilẹ̀ orí àpáta, ni ẹni tí ó gbọ́ ọ̀rọ̀ náà, lọ́gán, ó sì fi ayọ̀ gba ọ̀rọ̀ náà.
21 yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while. When oppression or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles.
Ṣùgbọ́n nítorí kò ní gbòǹgbò, ó wà fún ìgbà díẹ̀; nígbà tí wàhálà àti inúnibíni bá dìde nítorí ọ̀rọ̀ náà ní ojú kan náà yóò sì kọsẹ̀.
22 What was sown amongst the thorns, this is he who hears the word, but the cares of this age and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful. (aiōn g165)
Ẹni tí ó si gba irúgbìn tí ó bọ́ sí àárín ẹ̀gún ni ẹni tí ó gbọ́ ọ̀rọ̀ náà, ṣùgbọ́n àwọn àníyàn ayé yìí, ìtànjẹ, ọrọ̀ sì fún ọ̀rọ̀ náà pa, ọ̀rọ̀ náà kò so èso nínú rẹ̀. (aiōn g165)
23 What was sown on the good ground, this is he who hears the word and understands it, who most certainly bears fruit and produces, some one hundred times as much, some sixty, and some thirty.”
Ṣùgbọ́n ẹni tí ó gba irúgbìn tí ó bọ́ sí orí ilẹ̀ rere ni ẹni tí ó gbọ́ ọ̀rọ̀ náà, tí ó sì yé e; òun sì so èso òmíràn ọgọ́rọ̀ọ̀rùn, òmíràn ọgọ́tọ̀ọ̀ta, òmíràn ọgbọọgbọ̀n.”
24 He set another parable before them, saying, “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field,
Jesu tún pa òwe mìíràn fún wọn: “Ìjọba ọ̀run dàbí àgbẹ̀ kan tí ó gbin irúgbìn rere sí oko rẹ̀,
25 but while people slept, his enemy came and sowed darnel weeds also amongst the wheat, and went away.
ṣùgbọ́n ní òru ọjọ́ kan, nígbà tí ó sùn, ọ̀tá rẹ̀ wá sí oko náà ó sì gbin èpò sáàrín alikama, ó sì bá tirẹ̀ lọ.
26 But when the blade sprang up and produced grain, then the darnel weeds appeared also.
Nígbà tí alikama náà bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí dàgbà, tí ó sì so èso, nígbà náà ni èpò náà fi ara hàn.
27 The servants of the householder came and said to him, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where did these darnel weeds come from?’
“Àwọn ọmọ ọ̀dọ̀ àgbẹ̀ náà wá, wọ́n sọ fún un pé, ‘Ọ̀gá, irúgbìn rere kọ́ ni ìwọ ha gbìn sí oko rẹ nì? Báwo ni èpò ṣe wà níbẹ̀ nígbà náà?’
28 “He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ “The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and gather them up?’
“Ó sọ fún wọn pé, ‘Ọ̀tá ni ó ṣe èyí.’ “Àwọn ọmọ ọ̀dọ̀ rẹ̀ tún bí i pé, ‘Ǹjẹ́ ìwọ ha fẹ́ kí a fa èpò náà tu kúrò?’
29 “But he said, ‘No, lest perhaps while you gather up the darnel weeds, you root up the wheat with them.
“Ó dá wọn lóhùn pé, ‘Rárá, nítorí bí ẹ̀yin bá ń tu èpò kúrò, ẹ ó tu alikama dànù pẹ̀lú rẹ̀.
30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and in the harvest time I will tell the reapers, “First, gather up the darnel weeds, and bind them in bundles to burn them; but gather the wheat into my barn.”’”
Ẹ jẹ́ kí àwọn méjèèjì máa dàgbà pọ̀, títí di àsìkò ìkórè. Èmi yóò sọ fún àwọn olùkórè náà láti kọ́kọ́ ṣa àwọn èpò kúrò kí wọ́n sì dìwọ́n ní ìtí, kí a sì sun wọn, kí wọ́n sì kó alikama sínú àká mi.’”
31 He set another parable before them, saying, “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a grain of mustard seed which a man took, and sowed in his field,
Jesu tún pa òwe mìíràn fún wọn: “Ìjọba ọ̀run dàbí èso hóró musitadi, èyí tí ọkùnrin kan mú tí ó gbìn sínú oko rẹ̀.
32 which indeed is smaller than all seeds. But when it is grown, it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in its branches.”
Bí ó tilẹ̀ jẹ́ èso tí ó kéré púpọ̀ láàrín èso rẹ̀, síbẹ̀ ó wá di ohun ọ̀gbìn tí ó tóbi jọjọ. Ó sì wá di igi tó bẹ́ẹ̀ tí àwọn ẹyẹ ojú ọ̀run sì wá, wọ́n sì fi ẹ̀ka rẹ ṣe ibùgbé.”
33 He spoke another parable to them. “The Kingdom of Heaven is like yeast which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, until it was all leavened.”
Ó tún pa òwe mìíràn fún wọn: “Ìjọba ọ̀run dàbí ìwúkàrà tí obìnrin kan mú tí ó pò mọ́ ìyẹ̀fun púpọ̀ títí tí gbogbo rẹ fi di wíwú.”
34 Yeshua spoke all these things in parables to the multitudes; and without a parable, he didn’t speak to them,
Òwe ni Jesu fi sọ nǹkan wọ̀nyí fún àwọn ènìyàn, òwe ni ó fi bá wọn sọ gbogbo ọ̀rọ̀ tó sọ.
35 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying, “I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things hidden from the foundation of the world.”
Kí ọ̀rọ̀ tí a ti ẹnu àwọn wòlíì sọ lé wá sí ìmúṣẹ pé: “Èmi yóò ya ẹnu mi láti fi òwe sọ̀rọ̀. Èmi yóò sọ àwọn ohun tí ó fi ara sin láti ìpilẹ̀ṣẹ̀ ayé wá.”
36 Then Yeshua sent the multitudes away, and went into the house. His disciples came to him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the darnel weeds of the field.”
Lẹ́yìn náà ó sì fi ọ̀pọ̀ ènìyàn sílẹ̀ lóde, ó wọ ilé lọ. Àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn rẹ̀ tọ̀ ọ́ wá, wọn wí pé, “Ṣàlàyé òwe èpò inú oko fún wa.”
37 He answered them, “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man,
Ó sì dá wọn lóhùn pé, “Ọmọ Ènìyàn ni ẹni tí ó ń fúnrúgbìn rere.
38 the field is the world, the good seeds are the children of the Kingdom, and the darnel weeds are the children of the evil one.
Ayé ni oko náà; irúgbìn rere ni àwọn ènìyàn ti ìjọba ọ̀run. Èpò ni àwọn ènìyàn tí wọ́n jẹ́ ti èṣù,
39 The enemy who sowed them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels. (aiōn g165)
ọ̀tá tí ó gbin àwọn èpò sáàrín alikama ni èṣù. Ìkórè ni òpin ayé, àwọn olùkórè sì ní àwọn angẹli. (aiōn g165)
40 As therefore the darnel weeds are gathered up and burnt with fire; so will it be at the end of this age. (aiōn g165)
“Gẹ́gẹ́ bí a ti kó èpò jọ, tí a sì sun ún nínú iná, bẹ́ẹ̀ gẹ́gẹ́ ni yóò rí ní ìgbẹ̀yìn ayé. (aiōn g165)
41 The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will gather out of his Kingdom all things that cause stumbling and those who do iniquity,
Ọmọ Ènìyàn yóò ran àwọn angẹli rẹ̀, wọn yóò sì kó gbogbo ohun tó ń mú ni dẹ́ṣẹ̀ kúrò ní ìjọba rẹ̀ àti gbogbo ènìyàn búburú.
42 and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Wọn yóò sì sọ wọ́n sí inú iná ìléru, níbi ti ẹkún òun ìpayínkeke yóò gbé wà.
43 Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
Nígbà náà ni àwọn olódodo yóò máa ràn bí oòrùn ní ìjọba Baba wọn. Ẹni tí ó bá létí, jẹ́ kí ó gbọ́.
44 “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like treasure hidden in the field, which a man found and hid. In his joy, he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.
“Ìjọba ọ̀run sì dàbí ìṣúra kan tí a fi pamọ́ sínú oko. Nígbà tí ọkùnrin kan rí i ó tún fi í pamọ́. Nítorí ayọ̀ rẹ̀, ó ta gbogbo ohun ìní rẹ̀, ó ra oko náà.
45 “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who is a merchant seeking fine pearls,
“Bákan náà ni ìjọba ọ̀run dàbí oníṣòwò kan tí ó ń wá òkúta olówó iyebíye láti rà.
46 who having found one pearl of great price, he went and sold all that he had and bought it.
Nígbà tí ó rí ọ̀kan tí ó ni iye lórí, ó lọ láti ta gbogbo ohun ìní rẹ̀ láti le rà á.
47 “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a dragnet that was cast into the sea and gathered some fish of every kind,
“Bákan náà, a sì tún lè fi ìjọba ọ̀run wé àwọ̀n kan tí a jù sínú odò, ó sì kó onírúurú ẹja.
48 which, when it was filled, fishermen drew up on the beach. They sat down and gathered the good into containers, but the bad they threw away.
Nígbà tí àwọ̀n náà sì kún, àwọn apẹja fà á sókè sí etí bèbè Òkun, wọ́n jókòó, wọ́n sì ṣa àwọn èyí tí ó dára sínú apẹ̀rẹ̀, ṣùgbọ́n wọ́n da àwọn tí kò dára nù.
49 So it will be in the end of the world. The angels will come and separate the wicked from amongst the righteous, (aiōn g165)
Bẹ́ẹ̀ gẹ́gẹ́ ni yóò rí ní ìgbẹ̀yìn ayé. Àwọn angẹli yóò wá láti ya àwọn ènìyàn búburú kúrò lára àwọn olódodo. (aiōn g165)
50 and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
Wọn ó sì ju àwọn ènìyàn búburú sínú iná ìléru náà, ní ibi ti ẹkún àti ìpayínkeke yóò gbé wà.”
51 Yeshua said to them, “Have you understood all these things?” They answered him, “Yes, Lord.”
Jesu bí wọn léèrè pé, “Ǹjẹ́ gbogbo nǹkan wọ̀nyí yé yín.” Wọ́n dáhùn pé, “Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni, ó yé wa.”
52 He said to them, “Therefore every scribe who has been made a disciple in the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who is a householder, who brings out of his treasure new and old things.”
Ó wí fún wọn pé, “Nítorí náà ni olúkúlùkù olùkọ́ òfin tí ó ti di ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn ní ìjọba ọ̀run ṣe dàbí ọkùnrin kan tí í ṣe baálé ilé, tí ó mú ìṣúra tuntun àti èyí tí ó ti gbó jáde láti inú yàrá ìṣúra rẹ̀.”
53 When Yeshua had finished these parables, he departed from there.
Lẹ́yìn ti Jesu ti parí òwe wọ̀nyí, ó ti ibẹ̀ kúrò.
54 Coming into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished and said, “Where did this man get this wisdom and these mighty works?
Ó wá sí ìlú òun tìkára rẹ̀, níbẹ̀ ni ó ti ń kọ́ àwọn ènìyàn nínú Sinagọgu, ẹnu sì yà wọ́n. Wọ́n béèrè pé, “Níbo ni ọkùnrin yìí ti mú ọgbọ́n yìí àti iṣẹ́ ìyanu wọ̀nyí wá?
55 Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother called Miriam, and his brothers Jacob, Yosi, Simon, and Judah?
56 Aren’t all of his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all of these things?”
Àwọn arábìnrin rẹ̀ gbogbo ha kọ́ ni ó ń bá wa gbé níhìn-ín yìí, nígbà náà níbo ni ọkùnrin yìí ti rí àwọn nǹkan wọ̀nyí?”
57 They were offended by him. But Yeshua said to them, “A prophet is not without honour, except in his own country and in his own house.”
Inú bí wọn sí i. Ṣùgbọ́n Jesu wí fún wọn pé, “Wòlíì a máa lọ́lá ní ibòmíràn, àfi ní ilé ara rẹ̀ àti ní ìlú ara rẹ̀ nìkan ni wòlíì kò ti lọ́lá.”
58 He didn’t do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
Nítorí náà kò ṣe iṣẹ́ ìyanu kankan níbẹ̀, nítorí àìnígbàgbọ́ wọn.
