Mark 13
1 As he went out of the temple, one of his disciples said to him, “Rabbi, see what kind of stones and what kind of buildings!”
イエスが、宮から出て行かれるとき、弟子のひとりがイエスに言った。「先生。これはまあ、何とみごとな石でしょう。何とすばらしい建物でしょう。」
2 Yeshua said to him, “Do you see these great buildings? There will not be left here one stone on another, which will not be thrown down.”
すると、イエスは彼に言われた。「この大きな建物を見ているのですか。石がくずされずに、積まれたまま残ることは決してありません。」
3 As he sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, Jacob, Yochanan, and Andrew asked him privately,
イエスがオリーブ山で宮に向かってすわっておられると、ペテロ、ヤコブ、ヨハネ、アンデレが、ひそかにイエスに質問した。
4 “Tell us, when will these things be? What is the sign that these things are all about to be fulfilled?”
「お話しください。いつ、そういうことが起こるのでしょう。また、それがみな実現するようなときには、どんな前兆があるのでしょう。」
5 Yeshua, answering, began to tell them, “Be careful that no one leads you astray.
そこで、イエスは彼らに話し始められた。「人に惑わされないように気をつけなさい。
6 For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he!’ and will lead many astray.
わたしの名を名のる者が大ぜい現われ、『私こそそれだ。』と言って、多くの人を惑わすでしょう。
7 “When you hear of wars and rumours of wars, don’t be troubled. For those must happen, but the end is not yet.
また、戦争のことや戦争のうわさを聞いても、あわててはいけません。それは必ず起こることです。しかし、終わりが来たのではありません。
8 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places. There will be famines and troubles. These things are the beginning of birth pains.
民族は民族に、国は国に敵対して立ち上がり、方々に地震があり、ききんも起こるはずだからです。これらのことは、産みの苦しみの初めです。
9 “But watch yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils. You will be beaten in synagogues. You will stand before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony to them.
だが、あなたがたは、気をつけていなさい。人々は、あなたがたを議会に引き渡し、また、あなたがたは会堂でむち打たれ、また、わたしのゆえに、総督や王たちの前に立たされます。それは彼らに対してあかしをするためです。
10 The Good News must first be preached to all the nations.
こうして、福音がまずあらゆる民族に宣べ伝えられなければなりません。
11 When they lead you away and deliver you up, don’t be anxious beforehand or premeditate what you will say, but say whatever will be given you in that hour. For it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.
彼らに捕えられ、引き渡されたとき、何と言おうかなどと案じるには及びません。ただ、そのとき自分に示されることを、話しなさい。話すのはあなたがたではなく、聖霊です。
12 “Brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child. Children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death.
また兄弟は兄弟を死に渡し、父は子を死に渡し、子は両親に逆らって立ち、彼らを死に至らせます。
13 You will be hated by all men for my name’s sake, but he who endures to the end will be saved.
また、わたしの名のために、あなたがたはみなの者に憎まれます。しかし、最後まで耐え忍ぶ人は救われます。
14 “But when you see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not” (let the reader understand), “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains,
『荒らす憎むべきもの』が、自分の立ってはならない所に立っているのを見たならば（読者はよく読み取るように。）ユダヤにいる人々は山へ逃げなさい。
15 and let him who is on the housetop not go down, nor enter in, to take anything out of his house.
屋上にいる者は降りてはいけません。家から何かを取り出そうとして中にはいってはいけません。
16 Let him who is in the field not return back to take his cloak.
畑にいる者は着物を取りに戻ってはいけません。
17 But woe to those who are with child and to those who nurse babies in those days!
だが、その日、悲惨なのは身重の女と乳飲み子を持つ女です。
18 Pray that your flight won’t be in the winter.
ただ、このことが冬に起こらないように祈りなさい。
19 For in those days there will be oppression, such as there has not been the like from the beginning of the creation which God created until now, and never will be.
その日は、神が天地を創造された初めから、今に至るまで、いまだかつてなかったような、またこれからもないような苦難の日だからです。
20 Unless the Lord had shortened the days, no flesh would have been saved; but for the sake of the chosen ones, whom he picked out, he shortened the days.
そして、もし主がその日数を少なくしてくださらないなら、ひとりとして救われる者はないでしょう。しかし、主は、ご自分で選んだ選びの民のために、その日数を少なくしてくださったのです。
21 Then if anyone tells you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘Look, there!’ don’t believe it.
そのとき、あなたがたに、『そら、キリストがここにいる。』とか、『ほら、あそこにいる。』とか言う者があっても、信じてはいけません。
22 For false messiahs and false prophets will arise and will show signs and wonders, that they may lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.
にせキリスト、にせ預言者たちが現われて、できれば選民を惑わそうとして、しるしや不思議なことをして見せます。
23 But you watch. “Behold, I have told you all things beforehand.
だから、気をつけていなさい。わたしは、何もかも前もって話しました。
24 But in those days, after that oppression, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give its light,
だが、その日には、その苦難に続いて、太陽は暗くなり、月は光を放たず、
25 the stars will be falling from the sky, and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken.
星は天から落ち、天の万象は揺り動かされます。
26 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.
そのとき、人々は、人の子が偉大な力と栄光を帯びて雲に乗って来るのを見るのです。
27 Then he will send out his angels, and will gather together his chosen ones from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the sky.
そのとき、人の子は、御使いたちを送り、地の果てから天の果てまで、四方からその選びの民を集めます。
28 “Now from the fig tree, learn this parable. When the branch has now become tender and produces its leaves, you know that the summer is near;
いちじくの木から、たとえを学びなさい。枝が柔らかになって、葉が出て来ると、夏の近いことがわかります。
29 even so you also, when you see these things coming to pass, know that it is near, at the doors.
そのように、これらのことが起こるのを見たら、人の子が戸口まで近づいていると知りなさい。
30 Most certainly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things happen.
まことに、あなたがたに告げます。これらのことが全部起こってしまうまでは、この時代は過ぎ去りません。
31 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
この天地は滅びます。しかし、わたしのことばは決して滅びることがありません。
32 “But of that day or that hour no one knows—not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
ただし、その日、その時がいつであるかは、だれも知りません。天の御使いたちも子も知りません。ただ父だけが知っておられます。
33 Watch, keep alert, and pray; for you don’t know when the time is.
気をつけなさい。目をさまし、注意していなさい。その定めの時がいつだか、あなたがたは知らないからです。
34 “It is like a man travelling to another country, having left his house and given authority to his servants, and to each one his work, and also commanded the doorkeeper to keep watch.
それはちょうど、旅に立つ人が、出がけに、しもべたちにはそれぞれ仕事を割り当てて責任を持たせ、門番には目をさましているように言いつけるようなものです。
35 Watch therefore, for you don’t know when the lord of the house is coming—whether at evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning;
だから、目をさましていなさい。家の主人がいつ帰って来るか、夕方か、夜中か、鶏の鳴くころか、明け方か、わからないからです。
36 lest, coming suddenly, he might find you sleeping.
主人が不意に帰って来たとき眠っているのを見られないようにしなさい。
37 What I tell you, I tell all: Watch!”
わたしがあなたがたに話していることは、すべての人に言っているのです。目をさましていなさい。」
