Luke 22
1 Now the feast of unleavened bread, which is called the Passover, was approaching.
さて，過ぎ越しと呼ばれる種なしパンの祭りが近づいていた。
2 The chief priests and the scribes sought how they might put him to death, for they feared the people.
祭司長たちと律法学者たちは，どうしたら彼を死に至らせることができるかを探り求めていた。彼らは民を恐れていたのである。
3 Satan entered into Judah, who was also called Iscariot, who was counted with the twelve.
サタンが，またの名をイスカリオトといい，十二人の中に数えられていたユダに入り込んだ。
4 He went away and talked with the chief priests and captains about how he might deliver him to them.
彼は出て行き，祭司長たちや指揮官たちと，どうしたら彼がイエスを彼らに引き渡せるかについて話し合った。
5 They were glad, and agreed to give him money.
彼らは喜び，彼にお金を与えることに決めた。
6 He consented and sought an opportunity to deliver him to them in the absence of the multitude.
彼は承諾し，群衆のいないときにイエスを引き渡す機会を探り求めた。
7 The day of unleavened bread came, on which the Passover must be sacrificed.
種なしパンの日がやって来た。過ぎ越しの犠牲がささげられなければならない日である。
8 Yeshua sent Peter and Yochanan, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat.”
彼はペトロとヨハネを遣わして，こう言った，「行って，わたしたちのために過ぎ越しの食事を用意しなさい」 。
9 They said to him, “Where do you want us to prepare?”
彼らは彼に言った，「どこに用意をすることをお望みですか」。
10 He said to them, “Behold, when you have entered into the city, a man carrying a pitcher of water will meet you. Follow him into the house which he enters.
彼は彼らに言った，「見よ，あなた方が市内に入ると，水がめを運んでいる男があなた方に出会うだろう。その人に付いて行き，彼の入る家に行きなさい。
11 Tell the master of the house, ‘The Rabbi says to you, “Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?”’
その家の主人にこう言いなさい。『先生が，「わたしが弟子たちと共に過ぎ越しの食事をする客室はどこか」と言っています』。
12 He will show you a large, furnished upper room. Make preparations there.”
彼はあなた方に，席の整えられた大きな階上の部屋を見せてくれるだろう。その場所で準備をしなさい」 。
13 They went, found things as Yeshua had told them, and they prepared the Passover.
彼らは出て行き，彼が自分たちに告げたとおりのことを見いだした。それで彼らは過ぎ越しの用意をした。
14 When the hour had come, he sat down with the twelve emissaries.
その時刻になると，彼は十二人の使徒たちと共に席に着いた。
15 He said to them, “I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer,
彼は彼らに言った，「わたしは，自分が苦しみを受ける前に，あなた方と一緒にこの過ぎ越しの食事をしたいと，熱烈に願っていた。
16 for I tell you, I will no longer by any means eat of it until it is fulfilled in God’s Kingdom.”
あなた方に告げるが，神の王国でこれが満たされるまで，わたしはもはやこの食事をすることはないからだ」 。
17 He received a cup, and when he had given thanks, he said, “Take this and share it amongst yourselves,
杯を受け取り，感謝をささげてから，彼らに言った，「これを取って，互いに分け合いなさい。
18 for I tell you, I will not drink at all again from the fruit of the vine, until God’s Kingdom comes.”
あなた方に告げるが，神の王国が来るまで，わたしはもはやブドウの木の産物を飲むことはないからだ」 。
19 He took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body which is given for you. Do this in memory of me.”
パンを取り，感謝をささげてからそれを裂き，彼らに与えてこう言った。「これはあなた方のために与えられるわたしの体だ。わたしの思い出として，これを行ないなさい」 。
20 Likewise, he took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.
同じように，晩さんの後で杯を取ってこう言った。「この杯は，あなた方のために流されるわたしの血による新しい契約だ。
21 But behold, the hand of him who betrays me is with me on the table.
だが，見よ，わたしを売り渡す者の手が，わたしと共に食卓にある。
22 The Son of Man indeed goes as it has been determined, but woe to that man through whom he is betrayed!”
確かに人の子は定められたとおりに去って行く。だが，彼を売り渡すその人は災いだ！」
23 They began to question amongst themselves which of them it was who would do this thing.
彼らは，彼らの中でだれがそんなことをしようとしているのか，互いに尋ね始めた。
24 A dispute also arose amongst them, which of them was considered to be greatest.
彼らの間ではまた，自分たちの中でだれが一番偉いと思われるかに関する口論も生じた。
25 He said to them, “The kings of the nations lord it over them, and those who have authority over them are called ‘benefactors.’
彼は彼らに言った，「異邦人たちの王たちは人々に対して威張り散らし，人々の上に権力のある者たちは『恩人』と呼ばれている。
26 But not so with you. Rather, the one who is greater amongst you, let him become as the younger, and one who is governing, as one who serves.
だが，あなた方はそうではない。むしろ，あなた方の間で一番偉い者は一番若い者のように，支配する者は仕える者のようになりなさい。
27 For who is greater, one who sits at the table, or one who serves? Isn’t it he who sits at the table? But I am amongst you as one who serves.
というのは，食卓に着いている者と仕える者では，どちらが偉いのか。食卓に着いている者ではないか。それでも，わたしは仕える者としてあなた方の中にいる。
28 “But you are those who have continued with me in my trials.
だが，あなた方はわたしの数々の試練のときに，ずっとわたしと共にいてくれた者たちだ。
29 I confer on you a kingdom, even as my Father conferred on me,
わたしの父がわたしに王国を授けてくださったように，わたしはあなた方にそれを授ける。
30 that you may eat and drink at my table in my Kingdom. You will sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”
あなた方がわたしの王国で，わたしの食卓に着いて食べたり飲んだりするためだ。あなた方は座に着き，イスラエルの十二部族を裁くだろう」 。
31 The Lord said, “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan asked to have all of you, that he might sift you as wheat,
主は言った，「シモン，シモン，見よ，サタンは，あなた方を小麦のようにふるいにかけるために，あなた方を手に入れることを求めた。
32 but I prayed for you, that your faith wouldn’t fail. You, when once you have turned again, establish your brothers.”
だがわたしは，あなたの信仰が尽きないように，あなたのために祈った。あなたは，いったん立ち返ったなら，あなたの兄弟たちを強めなさい」 。
33 He said to him, “Lord, I am ready to go with you both to prison and to death!”
ペトロは彼に言った，「主よ，わたしは，ろうやにも，死に至るまでも，あなたと一緒に行く用意ができています！」
34 He said, “I tell you, Peter, the rooster will by no means crow today until you deny that you know me three times.”
彼は言った，「ペトロよ，あなたに告げる。あなたが三度わたしを知っていることを否認するまでは，今日，おんどりが鳴くことはないだろう」 。
35 He said to them, “When I sent you out without purse, bag, and sandals, did you lack anything?” They said, “Nothing.”
彼は彼らに言った，「わたしがあなた方を，財布も袋も履物も持たせずに遣わした時，何かに不足したか」 。 彼らは言った，「何にも不足しませんでした」。
36 Then he said to them, “But now, whoever has a purse, let him take it, and likewise a bag. Whoever has none, let him sell his cloak, and buy a sword.
すると彼は彼らに言った，「だが今は，財布のある者はそれを取り，袋も同じようにしなさい。何も持っていない者は，自分の外衣を売って，剣を買いなさい。
37 For I tell you that this which is written must still be fulfilled in me: ‘He was counted with transgressors.’ For that which concerns me is being fulfilled.”
あなた方に告げるが，『彼は不法な者たちと共に数えられた』と書かれているこのことは，なおわたしにおいて果たされなければならないのだ。わたしに関することは終わりを迎えるからだ」 。
38 They said, “Lord, behold, here are two swords.” He said to them, “That is enough.”
彼らは言った，「主よ，ご覧ください，ここに剣が二振りあります」。 彼は彼らに言った，「それで十分だ」 。
39 He came out and went, as his custom was, to the Mount of Olives. His disciples also followed him.
彼は出て来て，自分の習慣どおりに，オリーブ山に行った。弟子たちも彼に従った。
40 When he was at the place, he said to them, “Pray that you don’t enter into temptation.”
その場所に来ると，彼は彼らに言った，「あなた方は誘惑に陥らないよう，祈っていなさい」 。
41 He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and he knelt down and prayed,
彼らから石を投げて届くほどの所に下がり，ひざまずいて祈り，
42 saying, “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.”
こう言った，「父よ，もしそう望まれるなら，この杯をわたしから取り除いてください。それでも，わたしの意志ではなく，あなたのご意志がなされますように」 。
43 An angel from heaven appeared to him, strengthening him.
天から一人のみ使いが彼に現われ，彼を強めた。
44 Being in agony, he prayed more earnestly. His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down on the ground.
彼は苦しみもだえ，ますます熱烈に祈った。彼の汗は大粒の血の滴りのようになって地面に落ちた。
45 When he rose up from his prayer, he came to the disciples and found them sleeping because of grief,
祈りから起き上がり，弟子たちのところに来ると，彼らが悲しみのために眠り込んでいるのを見いだした。
46 and said to them, “Why do you sleep? Rise and pray that you may not enter into temptation.”
それで彼らに言った，「なぜあなた方は眠っているのか。誘惑に陥らないよう，起きて祈っていなさい」 。
47 While he was still speaking, a crowd appeared. He who was called Judah, one of the twelve, was leading them. He came near to Yeshua to kiss him.
彼がまだ話しているうちに，見よ，群衆が現われた。そして，十二人の一人でユダと呼ばれる者が彼らの先頭に立っていた。口づけをしようとしてイエスに近づいた。
48 But Yeshua said to him, “Judah, do you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?”
しかしイエスは彼に言った，「ユダ，あなたは口づけで人の子を売り渡すのか」 。
49 When those who were around him saw what was about to happen, they said to him, “Lord, shall we strike with the sword?”
彼の周りにいた者たちは，起きようとしていることを見て，彼に言った，「主よ，剣で撃ちましょうか」。
50 A certain one of them struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.
彼らのうちのある者が，大祭司の召使いに撃ちかかり，その右耳を切り落とした。
51 But Yeshua answered, “Let me at least do this”—and he touched his ear and healed him.
しかしイエスは答えた，「そこまでにしなさい」 。そして，彼の耳を触って，彼をいやした。
52 Yeshua said to the chief priests, captains of the temple, and elders, who had come against him, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs?
イエスは，自分に向かって来た祭司長たち，神殿の指揮官たち，および長老たちに言った，「あなた方は強盗に対するかのように，剣とこん棒を持って出て来たのか。
53 When I was with you in the temple daily, you didn’t stretch out your hands against me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness.”
わたしは毎日あなた方と一緒に神殿にいて教えていたのに，あなた方はわたしに向かって手を出さなかった。だが，今はあなた方の時，闇の支配だ」 。
54 They seized him and led him away, and brought him into the high priest’s house. But Peter followed from a distance.
彼らは彼を捕まえて，引いて行き，大祭司の家に連れて来た。しかしペトロは遠くから付いて行った。
55 When they had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and had sat down together, Peter sat amongst them.
人々は中庭の真ん中に火をたいて一緒に座ったので，ペトロも彼らの中で腰を下ろした。
56 A certain servant girl saw him as he sat in the light, and looking intently at him, said, “This man also was with him.”
ある召使いの女が，彼が明るいところに座っているのを見，彼をじっと見つめて言った，「この男も彼と一緒にいました」。
57 He denied Yeshua, saying, “Woman, I don’t know him.”
彼はイエスを否認して言った，「女よ，わたしは彼を知らない」。
58 After a little while someone else saw him and said, “You also are one of them!” But Peter answered, “Man, I am not!”
しばらくして，ほかの者が彼を見て言った，「あなたも彼らの一人だ！」 しかしペトロは答えた，「人よ，わたしは違う！」
59 After about one hour passed, another confidently affirmed, saying, “Truly this man also was with him, for he is a Galilean!”
一時間ほどすると，別の者が自信満々に断言して言った，「確かにこの男も彼と一緒にいた。ガリラヤ人だからだ！」
60 But Peter said, “Man, I don’t know what you are talking about!” Immediately, while he was still speaking, a rooster crowed.
しかしペトロは言った，「人よ，わたしはあなた方の話しているそのことを知らないのだ！」 すぐに，彼がまだ話している間に，おんどりが鳴いた。
61 The Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the Lord’s word, how he said to him, “Before the rooster crows you will deny me three times.”
主は振り返ってペトロを見つめた。そこでペトロは，「おんどりが鳴く前に，あなたは三度わたしを否認するだろう」 と，主が自分に言った言葉を思い出した。
62 He went out, and wept bitterly.
外に出て，激しく泣いた。
63 The men who held Yeshua mocked him and beat him.
イエスを拘留していた者たちは，彼をなぶりものにし，殴りつけた。
64 Having blindfolded him, they struck him on the face and asked him, “Prophesy! Who is the one who struck you?”
彼に目隠しをして顔を打ち，彼に言った，「預言しろ！ お前を打ったのはだれか」。
65 They spoke many other things against him, insulting him.
彼らは，彼を侮辱しながら，彼に向かってほかにも多くのことを話しかけた。
66 As soon as it was day, the assembly of the elders of the people were gathered together, both chief priests and scribes, and they led him away into their council, saying,
朝になると，民の長老たちの会は，祭司長たちも律法学者たちも共に集まり，彼を彼らの最高法院に引いて行き，こう言った。
67 “If you are the Messiah, tell us.” But he said to them, “If I tell you, you won’t believe,
「もしお前がキリストなら，我々に告げよ」。 しかし彼は彼らに言った，「あなた方に告げたとしても，あなた方は信じないだろうし，
68 and if I ask, you will in no way answer me or let me go.
尋ねたとしても，あなた方はわたしに答えたり，わたしを解放したりはしないだろう。
69 From now on, the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the power of God.”
今後，人の子は神の力の右に座ることになる」 。
70 They all said, “Are you then the Son of God?” He said to them, “You say it, because I am.”
みんなは言った，「それならお前は神の子か」。 彼は彼らに言った，「わたしはあるとは，あなた方が言った」 。
71 They said, “Why do we need any more witness? For we ourselves have heard from his own mouth!”
彼らは言った，「なぜこれ以上証人が必要だろうか。我々自身が本人の口から聞いたのだ！」
