< Jonah 2 >

1 Then Jonah prayed to the LORD, his God, out of the fish’s belly.
Jonah loe tanga zok thung hoiah angmah ih Angraeng Sithaw khaeah lawkthuih:
2 He said, “I called because of my affliction to the LORD. He answered me. Out of the belly of Sheol I cried. You heard my voice. (Sheol h7585)
raihaih ka tongh naah, ka Angraeng khaeah lawk ka thuih, to naah anih mah ang pathim; hell zok thung hoiah nang to kang palawk naah, ka lok nang tahngaih pae. (Sheol h7585)
3 For you threw me into the depths, in the heart of the seas. The flood was all around me. All your waves and your billows passed over me.
Kathuk tui thungah nang vah, tuipui um li ah nang vah; tuinawk mah kai ang takui o khoep, na tuiphunawk hoi nang ih tui sambanawk mah kai ang uem o.
4 I said, ‘I have been banished from your sight; yet I will look again towards your holy temple.’
Kai loe na hmaa hoiah vah ving ah ka oh boeh; toe kaciim na tempul to ka khet let han, tiah lawk ka thuih.
5 The waters surrounded me, even to the soul. The deep was around me. The weeds were wrapped around my head.
Tuinawk mah kai ang takui o khoek, ka hinghaih pakhra ang ven o khoep: kathuk tui mah kai ang takui khoep, tuipan mah ka lu to zaeng khoep.
6 I went down to the bottoms of the mountains. The earth barred me in forever; yet you have brought my life up from the pit, LORD my God.
Kai loe mae tlim ih tui thung khoek to ka krak tathuk; tui thung ih long mah dungzan khoek to ang naeh boeh; toe aw Angraeng ka Sithaw, kathuk amrohaih thung hoiah ka hinghaih nang loihsak.
7 “When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the LORD. My prayer came in to you, into your holy temple.
Ka hinghaih pakhra thazok naah, Angraeng to ka poek; to naah lawk ka thuihaih loe nang khaeah, kaciim na tempul thungah dawh tahang.
8 Those who regard vain idols forsake their own mercy.
Tidoeh athum ai krang poekhaih tawn kaminawk mah, angmacae nuiah palungnathaih katawn Sithaw to angqoi o taak ving boeh.
9 But I will sacrifice to you with the voice of thanksgiving. I will pay that which I have vowed. Salvation belongs to the LORD.”
Toe kai loe anghoe laasakhaih hoiah nang khaeah hmuenpaekhaih ka sak han; ka sak ih lokkamhaih baktih toengah ka sak han. Pahlonghaih loe Angraeng ih ni, tiah lawk ka thuih.
10 Then the LORD spoke to the fish, and it vomited out Jonah on the dry land.
Angraeng mah tanga to lokpaek, to naah tanga mah Jonah to saoeng bangah pathak let.
