< Yochanan 9 >

1 As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth.
Lino Jesu nakayinda, wakabona mwalumi moofu kuzwa kubuzyalwe bwakwe.
2 His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”
Basikwiya bakwe bakamubuzya, “Muyisyi, ngwani wakabisya, ngooyu mwalumi nakuti mbazyali bakwe, kuti azyalwe kali moofu?”
3 Yeshua answered, “This man didn’t sin, nor did his parents, but that the works of God might be revealed in him.
Jesu wakasandula kuti, “teensi nguwepe wakachita chibi, nikuba bazyali bakwe, pesi kuti milimu ya Leza iyubununwe mulinguwe.
4 I must work the works of him who sent me while it is day. The night is coming, when no one can work.
Tulelede kubeleka milimu ya oyo wakandituma nelichili isikati. Mansiku alasika nikuyochala katachikwe uyobeleka.
5 While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”
Ninchili munyika, ndime mumuni wenyika.”
6 When he had said this, he spat on the ground, made mud with the saliva, anointed the blind man’s eyes with the mud,
Nakamaninsya Jesu kwamba ezi zintu, wakaswida anyika, wakakanda bulongo amate, akunanika bulongo kumeso akwe.
7 and said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which means “Sent”). So he went away, washed, and came back seeing.
Wakamba kuti kulinguwe, “Yinka, ukasambe mukalambwa kaku kaku Silawomi” (kupandululwa kuti “kutumwa”). Lino mwalumi wakayinka, wakusamba, wakubola wabbwazula.
8 Therefore the neighbours and those who saw that he was blind before said, “Isn’t this he who sat and begged?”
Mpawo mbakayakilene aabo mwalumi abakamubonwene kali mukumbizi bakalikwamba kuti, “teensi nguwe na mwalumi oyu walimukumbizi?”
9 Others were saying, “It is he.” Still others were saying, “He looks like him.” He said, “I am he.”
Bamwi bakamba kuti, “Nguwe.” bamwi bakati, “pe, pesi ukozyania awe biyo.” Pesi wakati, “Ndime.”
10 They therefore were asking him, “How were your eyes opened?”
Bakamba kuti kulinguwe, “mpawo bakamubuzya kuti ajulika buti meso?”
11 He answered, “A man called Yeshua made mud, anointed my eyes, and said to me, ‘Go to the pool of Siloam and wash.’ So I went away and washed, and I received sight.”
Wakasandula, mwalumi utegwa Jesu wakakkanda bulongo akubunanika mumeso angu akwamba kuti kulindime, Ýinka ku Silawomi ukasamb. 'Lino ndakayinka akuyosamba, alimwi ndakatambula kubona kwangu.
12 Then they asked him, “Where is he?” He said, “I don’t know.”
Bakati kulinguwe, “Ulikuli?” wakasandula, “Tandizi pe.”
13 They brought him who had been blind to the Pharisees.
Bakeeta mwalumi wakali moofu kubaFalisi.
14 It was a Sabbath when Yeshua made the mud and opened his eyes.
Eno lyakali zuba lyakwe lyesabata. Jesu mpakakanda bulongo akumujula menso akwe.
15 Again therefore the Pharisees also asked him how he received his sight. He said to them, “He put mud on my eyes, I washed, and I see.”
Aboobo ba Falisi bakamubuzya kuti watambula buti kubona kwako. Wakati kulimbabo, wabika bulongo mumenso angu, ndakakusamba, alimwi lino ndabona.”
16 Some therefore of the Pharisees said, “This man is not from God, because he doesn’t keep the Sabbath.” Others said, “How can a man who is a sinner do such signs?” So there was division amongst them.
Bamwi baFalisi bakati oyu mwalumi tazwi kuli Leza nkambo tabambi buzuba bwaSabata.” Bamwi bakati, “Anga wakonzya buti mwalumi sizibi kuchita zitondezyo zili boobu?” Lino kwakaba kwanzana akati kabo.
17 Therefore they asked the blind man again, “What do you say about him, because he opened your eyes?” He said, “He is a prophet.”
Bakamubuzya moofu alimwi kuti, uwamba buti anguwe, mbwakajula menso aako?” Mwalumi moofu wakati, “Musinsimi.”
18 The Judeans therefore didn’t believe concerning him, that he had been blind and had received his sight, until they called the parents of him who had received his sight,
Nkambo kako baJuda takwepe nibakasyoma kuti nguwakali moofu alimwi kuti watambula kubona.
19 and asked them, “Is this your son, whom you say was born blind? How then does he now see?”
Bakakubuzya bazyali, “Oyu ngumwana ngumwana wenu na ulokwamba kuti wakazyalwa kali moofu?
20 His parents answered them, “We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind;
Lino wabona?” Bazyali bakwe bakasandula, “Tuzi biyo kuti oyu mwana wesu akuti wakazyalwa kali moofu.
21 but how he now sees, we don’t know; or who opened his eyes, we don’t know. He is of age. Ask him. He will speak for himself.”
Kuti wazobona buti tatuzipe, akuti ngwani wajula menso akwe, tatuzipe. Amumubuzye, mupati. Ulakonzya kulyambwida lwakwe.”
22 His parents said these things because they feared the Judeans; for the Judeans had already agreed that if any man would confess him as Messiah, he would be put out of the synagogue.
Bazyali bakwe bakaamba ayamakani, nkambo bakali kuyowa ba Juda nkambo ma Juda bakali kuzumina kuti kufumbwa utazumine kuti ngu Kkilisitu, ulatandwa muchikombelo.
23 Therefore his parents said, “He is of age. Ask him.”
Nkambo kazezi, nchibakati, “Mupati, ulalyambwida.”
24 So they called the man who was blind a second time, and said to him, “Give glory to God. We know that this man is a sinner.”
Lino bakamwita lwabili mwalumi wakali moofu akuti kuli nguwe, “kupa bulemu kuli Leza. Tulizi kuti oyu mwalumi ngu sizibi.”
25 He therefore answered, “I don’t know if he is a sinner. One thing I do know: that though I was blind, now I see.”
Mpawo mwalumi wakasandula, “Tandizi pe kuti na ngu sizibi. Chintu chimwi nchinzi: Nkuti ndakali moofu, lino ndabona.”
26 They said to him again, “What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?”
Mpawo bakaamba kuti kulinguwe, “ninzi nchaachita kulinduwe? Waajula buti menso aako?”
27 He answered them, “I told you already, and you didn’t listen. Why do you want to hear it again? You don’t also want to become his disciples, do you?”
Wakasandula, “ndamwambila kale, alimwi tamuswilizyi pe! Nkambonzi nimuyanda kumvwa lubo? Tamuyandi pe kuba basikwiiya bakwe, mulayandana?
28 They insulted him and said, “You are his disciple, but we are disciples of Moses.
Bakamutukila alimwi bakati, “Nduwe sikwiiya wakwe, pesi swebo tulibasikwiiya ba Mozesi.
29 We know that God has spoken to Moses. But as for this man, we don’t know where he comes from.”
Tulizi kuti Leza waambula kuli Mozesi, pesi tatwizi kuti ooyu uzwa kuli.”
30 The man answered them, “How amazing! You don’t know where he comes from, yet he opened my eyes.
Mwalumi wakasandula akuti kulimbabo, “Eechi chilayoosya, kuti tamumuwi nkwazwa, alimwi wajula menso angu.
31 We know that God doesn’t listen to sinners, but if anyone is a worshipper of God and does his will, he listens to him.
Tulizi kuti Leza taswilizyi pe kuli basizibi, pesi umwi kuti walipeda akuchita luyando lwakwe, ulamuswilizya.
32 Since the world began it has never been heard of that anyone opened the eyes of someone born blind. (aiōn g165)
Kuzwa nyika niyakalengwa takuna mvwigwa pe kuti naba omwe wakajula menso amuntu wakazyalwa kali moofu. (aiōn g165)
33 If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.”
Kuti mwalumi oyu katazwi kuli Leza, natakwe anchakonzya kuchita.”
34 They answered him, “You were altogether born in sins, and do you teach us?” Then they threw him out.
Bakasandula akwamba kuti kuli nguwe, “Wakazyaligwa muchibi, alimwi ulokuyisya ndiswe?” Mpawo bakamutontela aanze.
35 Yeshua heard that they had thrown him out, and finding him, he said, “Do you believe in the Son of God?”
Jesu wakamvwa kuti bamutandila aanze achikombelo. Wakamujana alimwi wakati, “Ulasyoma na mu Mwana a Muntu?”
36 He answered, “Who is he, Lord, that I may believe in him?”
Wakasandula kuti, “Ngwani, Mwami, kuti ndimusyome.
37 Yeshua said to him, “You have both seen him, and it is he who speaks with you.”
Jesu wakamwambila kuti, “Wamubona, alimwi nguwe ngulokwambula awe.
38 He said, “Lord, I believe!” and he worshipped him.
Mwalumi wakati, “Mwami, ndasyoma, “alimwi wakamukomba.
39 Yeshua said, “I came into this world for judgement, that those who don’t see may see; and that those who see may become blind.”
Jesu wakati, “Nkambo kakubeteka nchindasikamunyika ino kuti abo bataboni babone alimwi kuti babona babe boofu.”
40 Those of the Pharisees who were with him heard these things, and said to him, “Are we also blind?”
Bamwi ba Falisi bakali awe bakamvwa zintu eezi alimwi bakamubuzya kuti, “Tuliboofu na toonse?”
41 Yeshua said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, ‘We see.’ Therefore your sin remains.
Jesu wakati kuli mbabo, “Naa mwakali boofu, munoli kamutakwe chibi, pesi mwamba kuti, 'Tulabona, Aboobo zibi zyanu zilakkalila.
