1 When Yeshua had spoken these words, he went out with his disciples over the brook Kidron, where there was a garden, into which he and his disciples entered.
ⲁ̅ⲚⲀⲒ ⲈⲦⲀϤϪⲞⲦⲞⲨ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲀϤⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲈϤⲘⲀⲐⲎⲦⲎⲤ ⲈⲘⲎⲢ ⲘⲠⲒⲘⲞⲨⲚⲤⲰⲢⲈⲘ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲒϢⲈⲚⲤⲒϤⲒ ⲠⲒⲘⲀ ⲈⲦⲈⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲞⲨϬⲰⲘ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲪⲀⲒ ⲀϤϢⲈ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲈϤⲘⲀⲐⲎⲦⲎⲤ.
2 Now Judah, who betrayed him, also knew the place, for Yeshua often met there with his disciples.
ⲃ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲒⲞⲨⲆⲀⲤ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲚⲀϤⲚⲀⲦⲎⲒϤ ⲚⲀϤⲤⲰⲞⲨⲚ ϨⲰϤ ⲘⲠⲒⲘⲀ ⲈⲦⲈⲘⲘⲀⲨ ϪⲈ ⲞⲨⲘⲎ ϢⲚⲤⲞⲠ ⲀϤⲐⲰⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲘⲀⲨ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲈϤⲘⲀⲐⲎⲦⲎⲤ.
3 Judah then, having taken a detachment of soldiers and officers from the chief priests and the Pharisees, came there with lanterns, torches, and weapons.
ⲅ̅ⲒⲞⲨⲆⲀⲤ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲈⲦⲀϤϬⲒ ⲘⲠⲒⲘⲎϢ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲀⲚϨⲨⲠⲈⲢⲈⲦⲎⲤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲒⲀⲢⲬⲒⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒⲪⲀⲢⲒⲤⲈⲞⲤ ⲀϤⲒ ⲈⲘⲀⲨ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲀⲚⲪⲀⲚⲞⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲀⲚⲖⲀⲘⲠⲀⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲀⲚϨⲞⲠⲖⲞⲚ.
4 Yeshua therefore, knowing all the things that were happening to him, went out and said to them, “Who are you looking for?”
ⲇ̅ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲈϤⲤⲰⲞⲨⲚ ⲚϨⲰⲂ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲈⲐⲚⲎ ⲞⲨ ⲈϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲈϪⲰϤ ⲀϤⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲀⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚⲔⲰϮ ⲚⲤⲀⲚⲒⲘ.
5 They answered him, “Yeshua of Nazareth.” Yeshua said to them, “I am he.” Judah also, who betrayed him, was standing with them.
ⲉ̅ⲀⲨⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰ ⲠⲈϪⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲠⲒⲚⲀⲌⲰⲢⲈⲞⲤ ⲠⲈϪⲈ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲠⲈ ⲚⲀϤⲞϨⲒ ⲈⲢⲀⲦϤ ⲚⲈⲘⲰⲞⲨ ⲠⲈ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲞⲨⲆⲀⲤ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲚⲀϤⲚⲀⲦⲎⲒϤ.
6 When therefore he said to them, “I am he,” they went backward and fell to the ground.
ⲋ̅ϨⲞⲦⲈ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲈⲦⲀϤϪⲞⲤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲠⲈ ⲀⲨⲪⲰⲦ ⲈⲪⲀϨⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨϨⲈⲒ ⲈⲠⲈⲤⲎⲦ.
7 Again therefore he asked them, “Who are you looking for?” They said, “Yeshua of Nazareth.”
ⲍ̅ⲠⲀⲖⲒⲚ ⲞⲚ ⲀϤϢⲈⲚⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲀⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚⲔⲰϮ ⲚⲤⲀⲚⲒⲘ ⲚⲐⲰⲞⲨ ⲆⲈ ⲠⲈϪⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲠⲒⲚⲀⲌⲰⲢⲈⲞⲤ.
8 Yeshua answered, “I told you that I am he. If therefore you seek me, let these go their way,”
ⲏ̅ⲀϤⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ϪⲈ ⲀⲒϪⲞⲤ ⲚⲰⲦⲈⲚ ϪⲈ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲠⲈ ⲒⲤϪⲈ ⲀⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚⲔⲰϮ ⲚⲤⲰⲒ ⲬⲀ ⲚⲀⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲘⲀⲢⲞⲨϢⲈ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ
9 that the word might be fulfilled which he spoke, “Of those whom you have given me, I have lost none.”
ⲑ̅ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲒⲤⲀϪⲒ ϪⲰⲔ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲈⲦⲀϤϪⲞϤ ϪⲈ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲀⲔⲦⲎⲒⲦⲞⲨ ⲚⲎⲒ ⲘⲠⲒⲦⲀⲔⲈ ϨⲖⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚϦⲎⲦⲞⲨ.
10 Simon Peter therefore, having a sword, drew it, struck the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.
ⲓ̅ⲤⲒⲘⲰⲚ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲠⲈⲦⲢⲞⲤ ⲈⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲞⲨⲤⲎϤⲒ ⲚⲦⲞⲦϤ ⲀϤⲐⲞⲔⲘⲈⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤϨⲒⲞⲨⲒ ⲚⲤⲀⲪⲂⲰⲔ ⲘⲠⲒⲀⲢⲬⲒⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤϪⲰϪⲒ ⲘⲠⲈϤⲘⲀϢϪ ⲚⲞⲨⲒⲚⲀⲘ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲪⲢⲀⲚ ⲆⲈ ⲘⲠⲒⲂⲰⲔ ⲠⲈ ⲘⲀⲖⲬⲞⲤ.
11 Yeshua therefore said to Peter, “Put the sword into its sheath. The cup which the Father has given me, shall I not surely drink it?”
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲠⲈϪⲈ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲘⲠⲈⲦⲢⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ϨⲒⲞⲨⲒ ⲚϮⲤⲎϤⲒ ⲈⲦⲈⲤⲐⲎⲔⲎ ⲠⲒⲀⲪⲞⲦ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲦⲎⲒϤ ⲚⲎⲒ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲀⲒⲰⲦ ⲀⲚ ϮⲚⲀⲤⲞϤ ⲀⲚ.
12 So the detachment, the commanding officer, and the officers of the Jews seized Yeshua and bound him,
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ⲠⲒⲘⲎϢ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲠⲒⲬⲒⲖⲒⲀⲢⲬⲞⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒϨⲨⲠⲎⲢⲈⲦⲎⲤ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲒⲒⲞⲨⲆⲀⲒ ⲀⲨⲀⲘⲞⲚⲒ ⲚⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲀⲨⲤⲞⲚϨϤ
13 and led him to Annas first, for he was father-in-law to Caiaphas, who was high priest that year.
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲈⲚϤ ⲚϢⲞⲢⲠ ϨⲀ ⲀⲚⲚⲀ ⲚⲈⲠϢⲞⲘ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲚⲔⲀⲒⲀⲪⲀ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲚⲀϤⲞⲒ ⲚⲀⲢⲬⲒⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ ⲚⲦⲈϮⲢⲞⲘⲠⲒ ⲈⲦⲈⲘⲘⲀⲨ
14 Now it was Caiaphas who advised the Judeans that it was expedient that one man should perish for the people.
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ⲚⲈ ⲪⲀⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲠⲈ ⲔⲀⲒⲀⲪⲀ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲤⲞϬ ⲚⲒ ⲚⲚⲒⲒⲞⲨⲆⲀⲒ ⲈϤϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲤⲈⲢⲚⲞϤⲢⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲞⲨⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲚⲞⲨⲰⲦ ⲘⲞⲨ ⲈϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲠⲒⲖⲀⲞⲤ.
15 Simon Peter followed Yeshua, as did another disciple. Now that disciple was known to the high priest, and entered in with Yeshua into the court of the high priest;
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ⲚⲀϤⲘⲞϢⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲠⲈ ⲚⲤⲀⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲚϪⲈⲤⲒⲘⲰⲚ ⲠⲈⲦⲢⲞⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲔⲈⲘⲀⲐⲎⲦⲎⲤ ⲠⲒⲘⲀⲐⲎ ⲦⲎⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲦⲈⲘⲘⲀⲨ ⲚⲀϤⲞⲒ ⲚⲤⲞⲨⲒⲚ ⲠⲈ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲒⲀⲢⲬⲒⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲒ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲈϮⲀⲨⲖⲎ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲒⲀⲢⲬⲒⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ.
16 but Peter was standing at the door outside. So the other disciple, who was known to the high priest, went out and spoke to her who kept the door, and brought in Peter.
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ⲠⲈⲦⲢⲞⲤ ⲚⲀϤⲞϨⲒ ⲈⲢⲀⲦϤ ⲤⲀⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲀⲦⲈⲚ ⲠⲒⲢⲞ ⲀϤⲒ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲒⲘⲀⲐⲎⲦⲎⲤ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲚⲀϤⲞⲒ ⲚⲢⲈⲘⲤⲰⲞⲨⲚ ⲈⲠⲒⲀⲢⲬⲒⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ ⲀϤⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲚⲈⲘ ϮⲈⲘⲚⲞⲨⲦ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲒⲚⲒ ⲘⲠⲈⲦⲢⲞⲤ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ.
17 Then the maid who kept the door said to Peter, “Are you also one of this man’s disciples?” He said, “I am not.”
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ⲠⲈϪⲈ ϮⲀⲖⲞⲨ ⲚⲈⲘⲚⲞⲨⲦ ⲘⲠⲈⲦⲢⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲘⲎ ⲚⲐⲞⲔ ⲞⲨⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲈⲚⲘⲀⲐⲎⲦⲎⲤ ⲘⲠⲀⲒⲢⲰⲘⲒ ϨⲰⲔ ⲚⲐⲞϤ ⲆⲈ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲘⲘⲞⲚ.
18 Now the servants and the officers were standing there, having made a fire of coals, for it was cold. They were warming themselves. Peter was with them, standing and warming himself.
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ⲚⲀⲨⲞϨⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲢⲀⲦⲞⲨ ⲠⲈ ⲚϪⲈⲚⲒⲈⲂⲒⲀⲒⲔ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒϨⲨⲠⲎⲢⲈⲦⲎⲤ ⲈⲀⲨϬⲈⲢⲞ ⲚⲞⲨⲢⲀⲔϨⲒ ⲈⲢⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲚⲈⲦⲪⲢⲰ ⲦⲈ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲀⲨⲦϦⲘⲞ ⲘⲘⲰⲞⲨ ⲠⲈ ⲚⲀϤⲞϨⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲢⲀⲦϤ ⲚⲈⲘⲰⲞⲨ ϨⲰϤ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲈⲦⲢⲞⲤ ⲈϤⲦϦⲘⲞ ⲘⲘⲞϤ.
19 The high priest therefore asked Yeshua about his disciples and about his teaching.
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ⲠⲒⲀⲢⲬⲒⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲀϤϢⲈⲚ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲚⲈϤⲘⲀⲐⲎⲦⲎⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲦⲈϤⲤⲂⲰ
20 Yeshua answered him, “I spoke openly to the world. I always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where the Jews always meet. I said nothing in secret.
ⲕ̅ⲀϤⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰ ⲚⲀϤ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲈϤϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲀⲒⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲠⲒⲔⲞⲤⲘⲞⲤ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲠⲀⲢⲢⲎⲤⲒⲀ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲀⲒϮⲤⲂⲰ ⲠⲈ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲒⲤⲨⲚⲀⲄⲰⲄⲎ ⲚⲤⲎⲞⲨ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲚⲈⲘ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲈⲢⲪⲈⲒ ⲠⲒⲘⲀ ⲈϢⲀⲢⲈ ⲚⲒⲒⲞⲨⲆⲀⲒ ⲦⲎⲢⲞⲨ ⲐⲰⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲘⲠⲒϪⲈ ϨⲖⲒ ⲚⲤⲀϪⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲈⲦϨⲎⲠ.
21 Why do you ask me? Ask those who have heard me what I said to them. Behold, they know the things which I said.”
ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ⲈⲐⲂⲈⲞⲨ ⲔϢⲒⲚⲒ ⲘⲘⲞⲒ ϢⲈⲚ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲤⲰⲦⲈⲘ ϪⲈ ⲞⲨ ⲠⲈⲦⲀⲒϪⲞϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϨⲎⲠⲠⲈ ⲒⲤ ⲚⲀⲒ ⲤⲈⲈⲘⲒ ⲈⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲀⲒϪⲞⲦⲞⲨ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ
22 When he had said this, one of the officers standing by slapped Yeshua with his hand, saying, “Do you answer the high priest like that?”
ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ⲚⲀⲒ ⲈⲦⲀϤϪⲞⲦⲞⲨ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲀⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲒϨⲨⲠⲎⲢⲈⲦⲎⲤ ⲈⲦⲞϨⲒ ⲈⲢⲀⲦⲞⲨ ⲀϤϮ ⲚⲞⲨⲔⲞⲨⲢ ⲚⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲈϤϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲀⲚ ⲪⲀⲒ ⲠⲈ ⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲚⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰ ⲘⲠⲒⲀⲢⲬⲒⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ.
23 Yeshua answered him, “If I have spoken evil, testify of the evil; but if well, why do you beat me?”
ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ⲀϤⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲒⲤϪⲈ ⲔⲀⲔⲰⲤ ⲀⲒⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲀⲢⲒⲈⲢⲘⲈⲐⲢⲈ ⲘⲠⲒⲔⲀⲔⲰⲤ ⲒⲤϪⲈ ⲆⲈ ⲔⲀⲖⲰⲤ ⲈⲐⲂⲈⲞⲨ ⲔϨⲒⲞⲨⲒ ⲈⲢⲞⲒ.
24 Annas sent him bound to Caiaphas, the high priest.
ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ⲦⲞⲦⲈ ⲀϤⲞⲨⲞⲢⲠϤ ⲚϪⲈⲀⲚⲚⲀ ⲈϤⲤⲞⲚϨ ϨⲀ ⲔⲀⲒⲀⲪⲀ ⲠⲒⲀⲢⲬⲒⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ.
25 Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. They said therefore to him, “You aren’t also one of his disciples, are you?” He denied it and said, “I am not.”
ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ⲚⲀϤⲞϨⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲢⲀⲦϤ ⲚϪⲈⲤⲒⲘⲰⲚ ⲠⲈⲦⲢⲞⲤ ⲈϤⲦϦⲘⲞ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲠⲈϪⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲘⲎ ⲚⲐⲞⲔ ⲞⲨⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲈϤⲘⲀⲐⲎⲦⲎⲤ ϨⲰⲔ ⲚⲐⲞϤ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲰⲖ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲘⲘⲞⲚ.
26 One of the servants of the high priest, being a relative of him whose ear Peter had cut off, said, “Didn’t I see you in the garden with him?”
ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ⲠⲈϪⲈ ⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲒⲈⲂⲒⲀⲒⲔ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲒⲀⲢⲬⲒⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ ⲈⲞⲨⲤⲨⲄⲄⲈⲚⲎⲤ ⲠⲈ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲀ ⲠⲈⲦⲢⲞⲤ ϪⲰϪⲒ ⲘⲠⲈϤⲘⲀϢϪ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϪⲈ ⲘⲎ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲀⲚ ⲀⲒⲚⲀⲨ ⲈⲢⲞⲔ ⲚⲈⲘⲀϤ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒϬⲰⲘ.
27 Peter therefore denied it again, and immediately the rooster crowed.
ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ⲠⲀⲖⲒⲚ ⲞⲚ ⲀϤϪⲰⲖ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲈⲦⲢⲞⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲤⲀⲦⲞⲦϤ ⲀⲞⲨⲀⲖⲈⲔⲦⲰⲢ ⲘⲞⲨϮ.
28 They led Yeshua therefore from Caiaphas into the Praetorium. It was early, and they themselves didn’t enter into the Praetorium, that they might not be defiled, but might eat the Passover.
ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ⲀⲨⲒⲚⲒ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲚⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲀ ⲔⲀⲒⲀⲪⲀ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ ⲈⲠⲒⲠⲢⲈⲦⲰⲢⲒⲞⲚ ⲚⲈϢⲰⲢⲠ ⲆⲈ ⲠⲈ ⲚⲐⲰⲞⲨ ⲆⲈ ⲘⲠⲞⲨⲒ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ ⲈⲠⲒⲠⲢⲈⲦⲰⲢⲒⲞⲚ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ϪⲈ ⲚⲚⲞⲨⲤⲰϤ ϢⲀⲦⲞⲨⲞⲨⲰⲘ ⲘⲠⲒⲠⲀⲤⲬⲀ.
29 Pilate therefore went out to them and said, “What accusation do you bring against this man?”
ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ⲀϤⲒ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲀⲢⲰⲞⲨ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲒⲖⲀⲦⲞⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲞⲨ ⲚⲔⲀⲦⲎ ⲄⲞⲢⲒⲀ ⲈⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲒⲚⲒ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϦⲀ ⲠⲀⲒⲢⲰⲘⲒ.
30 They answered him, “If this man weren’t an evildoer, we wouldn’t have delivered him up to you.”
ⲗ̅ⲀⲨⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰ ⲠⲈϪⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲈⲚⲈ ⲪⲀⲒ ⲞⲨⲤⲀⲘⲠⲈⲦϨⲰⲞⲨ ⲀⲚ ⲠⲈ ⲚⲀⲚⲚⲀⲦⲎⲒϤ ⲚⲀⲔ ⲀⲚ ⲠⲈ.
31 Pilate therefore said to them, “Take him yourselves, and judge him according to your law.” Therefore the Judeans said to him, “It is illegal for us to put anyone to death,”
ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ⲠⲈϪⲈ ⲠⲒⲖⲀⲦⲞⲤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ϬⲒⲦϤ ⲚⲐⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲘⲀϨⲀⲠ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲠⲈⲦⲈⲚⲚⲞⲘⲞⲤ ⲠⲈϪⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲀϤ ⲚϪⲈⲚⲒⲒⲞⲨⲆⲀⲒ ϪⲈ ⲀⲚⲞⲚ ⲤϢⲈ ⲚⲀⲚ ⲀⲚ ⲈϦⲰⲦⲈⲂ ⲚϨⲖⲒ
32 that the word of Yeshua might be fulfilled, which he spoke, signifying by what kind of death he should die.
ⲗ̅ⲃ̅ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲒⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲚⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ϪⲰⲔ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲀϤϪⲞϤ ⲈϤⲈⲢⲤⲎⲘⲈⲚⲒⲚ ϪⲈ ϦⲈⲚⲀϢ ⲘⲘⲞⲨ ϤⲚⲀⲘⲞⲨ.
33 Pilate therefore entered again into the Praetorium, called Yeshua, and said to him, “Are you the King of the Jews?”
ⲗ̅ⲅ̅ⲠⲀⲖⲒⲚ ⲞⲚ ⲀϤⲒ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲒⲖⲀⲦⲞⲤ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ ⲈⲠⲒⲠⲢⲈⲦⲰⲢⲒⲞⲚ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲘⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲚⲐⲞⲔ ⲠⲈ ⲠⲞⲨⲢⲞ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲒⲒⲞⲨⲆⲀⲒ.
34 Yeshua answered him, “Do you say this by yourself, or did others tell you about me?”
ⲗ̅ⲇ̅ⲀϤⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲚⲐⲞⲔ ⲈⲦϪⲰ ⲘⲪⲀⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲞⲦⲔ ϢⲀⲚ ϨⲀⲚⲔⲈⲬⲰⲞⲨⲚⲒ ⲠⲈⲦⲀⲨϪⲞⲤ ⲚⲀⲔ ⲈⲐⲂⲎⲦ.
35 Pilate answered, “I’m not a Jew, am I? Your own nation and the chief priests delivered you to me. What have you done?”
ⲗ̅ⲉ̅ⲀϤⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲒⲖⲀⲦⲞⲤ ⲈϤϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲘⲎ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲞⲨⲒⲞⲨⲆⲀⲒ ϨⲰ ⲠⲈⲔⲈⲐⲚⲞⲤ ⲘⲘⲒⲚ ⲘⲘⲞⲔ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒⲀⲢⲬⲒⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ ⲚⲐⲰⲞⲨ ⲠⲈⲦⲀⲨⲦⲎ ⲒⲔ ⲞⲨ ⲠⲈⲦⲀⲔⲀⲒϤ.
36 Yeshua answered, “My Kingdom is not of this world. If my Kingdom were of this world, then my servants would fight, that I wouldn’t be delivered to the Judeans. But now my Kingdom is not from here.”
ⲗ̅ⲋ̅ⲀϤⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ϪⲈ ⲦⲀⲘⲈⲦⲞⲨⲢⲞ ⲚⲐⲀ ⲠⲒⲔⲞⲤⲘⲞⲤ ⲀⲚ ⲦⲈ ⲈⲚⲈ ⲦⲀⲘⲈⲦⲞⲨⲢⲞ ⲞⲨⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲀⲒⲔⲞⲤⲘⲞⲤ ⲦⲈ ⲚⲀⲢⲈ ⲚⲀϨⲨⲠⲈⲢⲈⲦⲎ ⲤⲚⲀⲨⲚⲀϮ ⲈϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲈϪⲰⲒ ⲠⲈ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲞⲨϢⲦⲈⲘⲦⲎ ⲒⲦ ⲚⲚⲒⲞⲨⲆⲀⲒ ϮⲚⲞⲨ ⲆⲈ ⲦⲀⲘⲈⲦⲞⲨⲢⲞ ⲐⲀ ⲠⲒⲔⲞⲤⲘⲞⲤ ⲀⲚ ⲦⲈ.
37 Pilate therefore said to him, “Are you a king then?” Yeshua answered, “You say that I am a king. For this reason I have been born, and for this reason I have come into the world, that I should testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.”
ⲗ̅ⲍ̅ⲠⲒⲖⲀⲦⲞⲤ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲞⲨⲔⲞⲨⲚ ⲚⲐⲞⲔ ⲞⲨⲞⲨⲢⲞ ⲀϤⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ϪⲈ ⲚⲐⲞⲔ ⲠⲈⲦϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲞⲨⲞⲨⲢⲞ ⲔⲈ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲘⲀⲤⲦ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲈⲠⲀⲒϨⲰⲂ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲐⲂⲈⲪⲀⲒ ⲀⲒⲒ ⲈⲠⲒⲔⲞⲤⲘⲞⲤ ⲈⲠϪⲒⲚⲦⲀⲈⲢⲘⲈⲐⲢⲈ ⲚϮⲘⲈⲐⲘⲎⲒ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲈⲦⲈ ϨⲀⲚⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚϮⲘⲈⲐⲘⲎⲒ ⲚⲈϢⲀⲨⲤⲰⲦⲈⲘ ⲈⲦⲀⲤⲘⲎ.
38 Pilate said to him, “What is truth?” When he had said this, he went out again to the Judeans, and said to them, “I find no basis for a charge against him.
ⲗ̅ⲏ̅ⲠⲈϪⲈ ⲠⲒⲖⲀⲦⲞⲤ ⲚⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲞⲨ ⲠⲈ ϮⲘⲈⲐⲘⲎⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲪⲀⲒ ⲈⲦⲀϤϪⲞϤ ⲠⲀⲖⲒⲚ ⲞⲚ ⲀϤⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲀ ⲚⲒⲒⲞⲨⲆⲀⲒ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲚϮϪⲈⲘ ϨⲖⲒ ⲚⲈⲦⲒⲀ ⲀⲚ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲀⲒⲢⲰⲘⲒ.
39 But you have a custom that I should release someone to you at the Passover. Therefore, do you want me to release to you the King of the Jews?”
ⲗ̅ⲑ̅ⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲤⲨⲚⲎⲐⲒⲀ ⲆⲈ ⲦⲈ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲬⲀ ⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲚⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲠⲀⲤⲬⲀ ⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲰϢ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲚⲦⲀⲬⲰ ⲚⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲘⲠⲞⲨⲢⲞ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲒⲒⲞⲨⲆⲀⲒ.
40 Then they all shouted again, saying, “Not this man, but Barabbas!” Now Barabbas was a robber.
ⲙ̅ⲀⲨⲰϢ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲦⲎⲢⲞⲨ ⲈⲨϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲘⲠⲈⲢⲬⲀ ⲪⲀⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲬⲀ ⲂⲀⲢⲀⲂⲂⲀⲤ ⲠⲀⲒⲂⲀⲢⲀⲂⲂⲀⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲈⲞⲨⲤⲞⲚⲒ ⲠⲈ.
