Yochanan 17

1 Yeshua said these things, then lifting up his eyes to heaven, he said, “Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may also glorify you;

Dieses hatte Jesus geredet, da hob er seine Augen auf zum Himmel und sagte: Vater, die Stunde ist gekommen, damit der Sohn dich verherrliche.

2 even as you gave him authority over all flesh, so he will give eternal life to all whom you have given him. (aiōnios g166)

Wie du ihm Vollmacht gegeben hast über alles Fleisch, damit er, was alles du ihm gegeben hast, denselben ewiges Leben gebe. (aiōnios g166)

3 This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Yeshua the Messiah. (aiōnios g166)

Dies aber ist das ewige Leben, daß sie dich erkennen, den allein wahrhaften Gott, und den du gesandt hast, Jesus Christus. (aiōnios g166)

4 I glorified you on the earth. I have accomplished the work which you have given me to do.

Ich habe dich auf Erden verherrlicht, indem ich das Werk vollbracht habe, das du mir aufgegeben hast, daß ich es vollbringe.

5 Now, Father, glorify me with your own self with the glory which I had with you before the world existed.

Und nun verherrliche du mich, o Vater, bei dir mit der Herrlichkeit, welche ich bei dir hatte, ehe die Welt war.

6 “I revealed your name to the people whom you have given me out of the world. They were yours, and you have given them to me. They have kept your word.

Ich habe deinen Namen den Menschen geoffenbart, die du mir aus der Welt gegeben hast. Sie waren dein, und du hast sie mir gegeben und sie haben dein Wort bewahrt.

7 Now they have known that all things whatever you have given me are from you,

Nun haben sie erkannt, daß alles was du mir gegeben hast, von dir ist;

8 for the words which you have given me I have given to them; and they received them, and knew for sure that I came from you. They have believed that you sent me.

weil ich die Worte, die du mir gegeben hattest, ihnen gegeben habe; und sie haben sie angenommen und haben wahrhaft erkannt, daß ich von dir ausgegangen bin, und geglaubt, daß du mich abgesandt hast.

9 I pray for them. I don’t pray for the world, but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours.

Ich bitte für sie; nicht für die Welt bitte ich, sondern für die, die du mir gegeben hast, weil sie dein sind,

10 All things that are mine are yours, and yours are mine, and I am glorified in them.

und was mein ist, alles dein ist, und was dein ist, mein, und ich an ihnen verherrlicht bin.

11 I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them through your name which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are.

Ich wohl bin nicht mehr in der Welt, doch sie sind in der Welt, da ich zu dir gehe. Heiliger Vater, bewahre sie in deinem Namen, den du mir gegeben hast, damit sie eins seien, so wie wir.

12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in your name. I have kept those whom you have given me. None of them is lost except the son of destruction, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

Als ich bei ihnen war, habe ich sie in deinem Namen bewahrt, den du mir gegeben hast, und habe sie behütet, und keiner von ihnen ist verdorben, als der Sohn des Verderbens, damit die Schrift erfüllt würde;

13 But now I come to you, and I say these things in the world, that they may have my joy made full in themselves.

jetzt aber komme ich zu dir. Und dieses rede ich in der Welt, damit sie meine Freude vollkommen in sich haben.

14 I have given them your word. The world hated them because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

Ich habe ihnen dein Wort gegeben, und die Welt hat sie gehaßt, weil sie nicht von der Welt sind, so wie ich nicht von der Welt bin.

15 I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one.

Ich bitte nicht, daß du sie aus der Welt wegnehmest, aber daß du sie vor dem Bösen bewahrest.

16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

Sie sind nicht von der Welt, so wie ich nicht von der Welt bin.

17 Sanctify them in your truth. Your word is truth.

Heilige sie in der Wahrheit; dein Wort ist Wahrheit.

18 As you sent me into the world, even so I have sent them into the world.

So wie du mich in die Welt gesandt hast, so habe auch ich sie in die Welt gesandt.

19 For their sakes I sanctify myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth.

Und ich heilige mich für sie, daß auch sie geheiligt seien in Wahrheit.

20 “Not for these only do I pray, but for those also who will believe in me through their word,

Nicht für diese allein aber bitte ich, sondern auch für die, welche durch ihr Wort an mich glauben:

21 that they may all be one; even as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that you sent me.

auf daß alle eins seien, so wie du, Vater, in mir und ich in dir, daß auch sie in uns seien, auf daß die Welt glaube, daß du mich gesandt hast.

22 The glory which you have given me, I have given to them, that they may be one, even as we are one,

Und zwar habe ich ihnen die Herrlichkeit gegeben, die du mir gegeben hast, auf daß sie eins seien, so wie wir eins sind,

23 I in them, and you in me, that they may be perfected into one, that the world may know that you sent me and loved them, even as you loved me.

ich in ihnen und du in mir, auf daß sie zur Einheit vollendet seien, damit die Welt erkenne, daß du mich gesandt hast, und sie geliebt hast, so wie du mich geliebt hast.

24 Father, I desire that they also whom you have given me be with me where I am, that they may see my glory which you have given me, for you loved me before the foundation of the world.

Vater, was du mir gegeben hast, ich will, daß wo ich bin, auch sie bei mir seien, daß sie meine Herrlichkeit schauen, die du mir gegeben hast, weil du mich geliebt hast vor Grundlegung der Welt.

25 Righteous Father, the world hasn’t known you, but I knew you; and these knew that you sent me.

Gerechter Vater, wohl hat dich die Welt nicht erkannt, doch ich habe dich erkannt, und diese haben erkannt, daß du mich gesandt hast.

26 I made known to them your name, and will make it known; that the love with which you loved me may be in them, and I in them.”

Und ich habe ihnen deinen Namen kundgethan, und werde ihnen denselben kund thun, damit die Liebe, mit der du mich geliebt hast, in ihnen sei, und ich in ihnen.
