Yochanan 15
1 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the farmer.
Eu sou a videira verdadeira, e meu Pai é o lavrador.
2 Every branch in me that doesn’t bear fruit, he takes away. Every branch that bears fruit, he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
Todo ramo que em mim não dá fruto, ele o tira; e todo o que da fruto, ele o limpa, para que dê mais fruto.
3 You are already pruned clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
Vós já estais limpos pela palavra que vos tenho falado.
4 Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can’t bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me.
Estai em mim, e eu em vós; como o ramo de si mesmo não pode dar fruto, se não estiver na videira, assim vós também não, se não estiverdes em mim.
5 I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
Eu sou a videira, vós [sois] os ramos; quem está em mim, e eu nele, esse dá muito fruto; porque sem mim nada podeis fazer.
6 If a man doesn’t remain in me, he is thrown out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them, throw them into the fire, and they are burnt.
Se alguém não estiver em mim, é lançado fora, como o ramo, e seca-se; e os colhem, e os lançam no fogo, e ardem.
7 If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you.
Se vós estiverdes em mim, e minhas palavras estiverem em vós, tudo o que quiserdes pedireis, e será feito para vós.
8 “In this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; and so you will be my disciples.
Nisto é glorificado meu Pai, em que deis muito fruto; e [assim] sereis meus discípulos.
9 Even as the Father has loved me, I also have loved you. Remain in my love.
Como o Pai me amou, também eu vos amei; estai neste meu amor.
10 If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, even as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.
Se guardardes meus mandamentos, estareis em meu amor. Como eu tenho guardado os mandamentos de meu Pai, e estou em seu amor.
11 I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full.
Estas coisas eu tenho vos dito para que minha alegria esteja em vós, e vossa alegria seja completa.
12 “This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you.
Este é meu mandamento: que vos ameis uns aos outros, assim como eu vos amei.
13 Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
Ninguém tem maior amor que este: que alguém ponha sua vida por seus amigos.
14 You are my friends if you do whatever I command you.
Vós sois meus amigos, se fizerdes o que eu vos mando.
15 No longer do I call you servants, for the servant doesn’t know what his lord does. But I have called you friends, for everything that I heard from my Father, I have made known to you.
Já não vos chamo mais servos; porque o servo não sabe o que faz seu senhor; mas eu tenho vos chamado de amigos, porque tudo quanto ouvi de meu Pai eu tenho vos feito conhecer.
16 You didn’t choose me, but I chose you and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever you will ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you.
Não [fostes] vós [que] me escolhestes, porém eu vos escolhi, e tenho vos posto para que vades, e deis fruto, e vosso fruto permaneça; para que tudo quanto pedirdes ao Pai em meu nome, ele vos dê.
17 “I command these things to you, that you may love one another.
Isto vos mando, para que vos ameis uns aos outros.
18 If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you.
Se o mundo vos odeia, sabei que odiou a mim antes que a vós.
19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you are not of the world, since I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
Se vós fôsseis do mundo, o mundo amaria ao seu; mas porque não sois do mundo, antes eu vos escolhi do mundo, por isso o mundo vos odeia.
20 Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his lord.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours.
Lembrai-vos da palavra que vos tenho dito: não é o servo maior que seu senhor. Se me perseguiram, também vos perseguirão; se guardaram minha palavra, também guardarão a vossa.
21 But they will do all these things to you for my name’s sake, because they don’t know him who sent me.
Mas tudo isto vos farão por causa do meu nome; porque não conhecem a aquele que me enviou.
22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have had sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin.
Se eu não tivesse vindo, nem lhes houvesse falado, não teriam pecado; mas agora já não têm pretexto pelo seu pecado.
23 He who hates me, hates my Father also.
Quem me odeia, também odeia a meu Pai.
24 If I hadn’t done amongst them the works which no one else did, they wouldn’t have had sin. But now they have seen and also hated both me and my Father.
Se eu entre eles não tivesse feito obras, que nenhum outro fizera, não teriam pecado; mas agora as viram, e [contudo] odiaram a mim, e a meu Pai.
25 But this happened so that the word may be fulfilled which was written in their law, ‘They hated me without a cause.’
Mas [isto é] para que se cumpra a palavra que está escrita em sua Lei: Sem causa me odiaram.
26 “When the Counsellor has come, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will testify about me.
Mas quando vier o Consolador, que eu do Pai vos enviarei, aquele Espírito de verdade, que sai do Pai, ele testemunhará de mim.
27 You will also testify, because you have been with me from the beginning.
E também vós testemunhareis, pois estivestes comigo desde o princípio.
