Yochanan 14
1 “Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me.
汝等の心騒ぐべからず、神を信ずれば我をも信ぜよ。
2 In my Father’s house are many homes. If it weren’t so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you.
我父の家に住所多し、然らずば我既に汝等に告げしならん、其は至りて汝等の為に處を備へんとすればなり。
3 If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also.
至りて汝等の為に處を備へたる後、再び來りて汝等を携へ、我が居る處に汝等をも居らしめん。
4 You know where I go, and you know the way.”
汝等は我が往く處を知り、又其道をも知れり、と。
5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going. How can we know the way?”
トマ云ひけるは、主よ、我等は其往き給ふ處を知らず、争でか其道を知る事を得ん、と。
6 Yeshua said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
イエズス之に曰ひけるは、我は道なり、眞理なり、生命なり、我に由らずしては父に至る者はあらず。
7 If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on, you know him and have seen him.”
汝等若我を知りたらば、必ず我父をも知りたらん、今より汝等之を知らん、而も既に之を見たり、と。
8 Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us.”
フィリッポ之に向ひ、主よ、父を我等に示し給へ、然らば我等事足るべし、と云へるを、
9 Yeshua said to him, “Have I been with you such a long time, and do you not know me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father. How do you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
イエズス曰ひけるは、我斯も久しく汝等と共に居れるに、汝等尚我を知らざるか、フィリッポよ、我を見る人は父をも見るなり、何ぞ父を我等に示せと云ふや、
10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I tell you, I speak not from myself; but the Father who lives in me does his works.
我父に居り父我に在す、とは汝等信ぜざるか、我が汝等に語る言は己より語るに非ず、父こそ我に在して自ら業を為し給ふなれ。
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me; or else believe me for the very works’ sake.
汝等は、我れ父に居り父我に在すと信ぜざるか、
12 Most certainly I tell you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also; and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to my Father.
然らば業其物の為に信ぜよ。誠に實に汝等に告ぐ、我を信ずる人は自ら亦我が為す業をも為し、而も之より大いなる者を為さん、其は我父の許に之けばなり。
13 Whatever you will ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
汝等が我名に由りて（父に）求むる所は、何事も我之を為さん、是父が子に於て光榮を歸せられ給はん為なり。
14 If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.
汝等我名によりて何をか我に求めば、我之を為さん。
15 If you love me, keep my commandments.
汝等若我を愛せば我命を守れ、
16 I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counsellor, that he may be with you forever: (aiōn g165)
而して我は父に請ひ、父は他の弁護者を汝等に賜ひて、永遠に汝等と共に止らしめ給はん。 (aiōn g165)
17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world can’t receive, for it doesn’t see him and doesn’t know him. You know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.
是即ち眞理の霊にして、世は之を見ず且知らざるに由りて、之を承くるに能はず、然れども汝等は之を知らん、其は汝等と共に止りて、汝等の中に居給ふべければなり。
18 I will not leave you orphans. I will come to you.
我汝等を孤児として遺さじ、将に汝等に來らんとす。
19 Yet a little while, and the world will see me no more; but you will see me. Because I live, you will live also.
今暫時にして、世は最早我を見ざるべし、然れど汝等は我を見る、其は我は活き居りて汝等も亦活くべければなり。
20 In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.
汝等彼日に、我わが父に居り、汝等我に居り、我汝等に居る事を暁らん。
21 One who has my commandments and keeps them, that person is one who loves me. One who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him.”
我命令を有して之を守る者は、是我を愛する者なり、我を愛する者は我父に愛せらるべく、我も之を愛して之に己を顕すべし、と。
22 Judah (not Iscariot) said to him, “Lord, what has happened that you are about to reveal yourself to us, and not to the world?”
彼イスカリオテに非ざるユダ、イエズスに謂ひけるは、主よ何為ぞ、己を我等に顕して世に顕し給はざるや。
23 Yeshua answered him, “If a man loves me, he will keep my word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.
イエズス答へて曰ひけるは、人若我を愛せば、我言を守らん、斯て我父は彼を愛し給ひ、我等彼に至りて其内に住まん、
24 He who doesn’t love me doesn’t keep my words. The word which you hear isn’t mine, but the Father’s who sent me.
我を愛せざる者は我言を守らず、而して汝等の聞きしは我言に非ずして、我を遣し給ひし父のなり。
25 “I have said these things to you while still living with you.
我尚汝等と共に居りて是等の事を汝等に語りしが、
26 But the Counsellor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things, and will remind you of all that I said to you.
父の我名に由りて遣はし給ふべき弁護者たる聖霊は、我が汝等に謂ひし総ての事を教へ、且思出でしめ給ふべし
27 Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.
我は平安を汝等に遺し、我平安を汝等に與ふ、我が之を與ふるは、世の與ふる如くには非ず、汝等の心騒ぐべからず、又怖るべからず、
28 You heard how I told you, ‘I am going away, and I will come back to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced because I said ‘I am going to my Father;’ for the Father is greater than I.
曾て我往きて復汝等に來らんとと云ひしは、汝等が聞ける所なり、汝等我を愛するならば、必ず我が父の許に歸るを喜ぶならん、父は我より更に大いに在せばなり。
29 Now I have told you before it happens so that when it happens, you may believe.
今事の成るに先だちて我が汝等に告げたるは、其成りて後汝等に信ぜしめん為なり。
30 I will no more speak much with you, for the prince of the world comes, and he has nothing in me.
最早多く汝等に語らじ、蓋此世の長來る、彼は我に何の権をも有せず。
31 But that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father commanded me, even so I do. Arise, let’s go from here.
然れど我が父を愛して父の我に命じ給ひし如く行ふ事を世の知らん為に、立て、将此處より去らん。
