< Yochanan 12 >

1 Then, six days before the Passover, Yeshua came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, who had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.
Aka nna nsia na Twam Afahyɛ no aduru no, Yesu kɔɔ Betania, kuro a na Lasaro a Yesu nyanee no firi awufoɔ mu no te mu no mu.
2 So they made him a supper there. Martha served, but Lazarus was one of those who sat at the table with him.
Wɔtoo Yesu ɛpono. Marta na ɔsomee wɔ saa apontoɔ yi ase. Lasaro tenaa Yesu nkyɛn pɛɛ wɔ ɛpono no ho.
3 Therefore Miriam took a pound of ointment of pure nard, very precious, and anointed Yeshua’s feet and wiped his feet with her hair. The house was filled with the fragrance of the ointment.
Wɔredidi no, Maria faa ngohwam bi a ne boɔ yɛ den bɛhwie guu Yesu nan ase de ne tirinwi pepaeɛ. Ngo no hwa gyee efie hɔ nyinaa.
4 Then Judah Iscariot, Simon’s son, one of his disciples, who would betray him, said,
Yuda Iskariot a ɔyɛ asuafoɔ no mu baako a akyire no ɔbɛyi Yesu ama no ani annye deɛ ɔbaa yi yɛeɛ no ho,
5 “Why wasn’t this ointment sold for three hundred denarii and given to the poor?”
enti ɔkaa sɛ, “Adɛn enti na wantɔn saa ngohwam yi na yɛamfa sika no amma ahiafoɔ?”
6 Now he said this, not because he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and having the money box, used to steal what was put into it.
Ɛnyɛ sɛ na ɔdwene ahiafoɔ ho enti na ɔkaa saa asɛm yi, na mmom, na ɔyɛ ɔkorɔmfoɔ na ɛsiane sɛ na ɔhwɛ asuafoɔ no sika so enti, na ɔwiawia bi.
7 But Yeshua said, “Leave her alone. She has kept this for the day of my burial.
Yesu kaa sɛ, “Monnyaa ɔbaa yi haw! Deɛ ɔbaa yi ayɛ yi, ɔde resiesie me ama me wuo.
8 For you always have the poor with you, but you don’t always have me.”
Mo ne ahiafoɔ na ɛwɔ hɔ ɛberɛ biara, na me deɛ, me ne mo rentena hɔ daa.”
9 A large crowd therefore of the Judeans learnt that he was there; and they came, not for Yeshua’s sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.
Ɛberɛ a Yudafoɔ no tee sɛ Yesu wɔ Betania no, wɔn mu pii kɔɔ hɔ. Ɛnyɛ Yesu nko enti na wɔkɔɔ hɔ, na mmom, wɔkɔɔ hɔ sɛ wɔrekɔhwɛ Lasaro a Yesu nyanee no firii awufoɔ mu no nso.
10 But the chief priests conspired to put Lazarus to death also,
Afei, asɔfoɔ mpanin no bɔɔ pɔ sɛ wɔbɛkum Lasaro nso,
11 because on account of him many of the Judeans went away and believed in Yeshua.
ɛfiri sɛ, ɛsiane Lasaro wusɔreɛ no enti, na nnipa bebree retwe wɔn ho afiri Yudafoɔ mpanin no ho abɛdi Yesu akyi.
12 On the next day a great multitude had come to the feast. When they heard that Yeshua was coming to Jerusalem,
Adeɛ kyeeɛ no, nnipadɔm a wɔaba Twam Afahyɛ no tee sɛ Yesu reba Yerusalem no,
13 they took the branches of the palm trees and went out to meet him, and cried out, “Hoshia'na! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, the King of Israel!”
wɔbubuu ɛberɛ de kɔhyiaa no ɛkwan de ahurisie teateaam sɛ, “Hosiana!” “Nhyira nka deɛ ɔreba wɔ Awurade din mu no!” “Nhyira nka Israelhene!”
14 Yeshua, having found a young donkey, sat on it. As it is written,
Yesu rekɔ no, na ɔte afunumu ba bi so sɛdeɛ Atwerɛsɛm hyɛɛ ho nkɔm sɛ,
15 “Don’t be afraid, daughter of Zion. Behold, your King comes, sitting on a donkey’s colt.”
“Nsuro, Ɔbabaa Sion! Hwɛ sɛ wo ɔhene te afunumu ba so reba wo nkyɛn.”
16 His disciples didn’t understand these things at first, but when Yeshua was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written about him, and that they had done these things to him.
Ahyɛaseɛ no, asuafoɔ no ante yeinom nyinaa ase kɔsii sɛ wɔhyɛɛ Yesu animuonyam no ansa na wɔrekae sɛ, Atwerɛsɛm no aka saa asɛm yi nyinaa afa ne ho dada, na ɛno ara ne deɛ wɔayɛ no.
17 The multitude therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead was testifying about it.
Nnipa a na wɔwɔ hɔ a wɔhunu sɛ Yesu nyanee Lasaro firii awufoɔ mu no kaa asɛm a ɛsii no kyerɛɛ afoforɔ.
18 For this cause also the multitude went and met him, because they heard that he had done this sign.
Yei enti na nnipa bebree kɔeɛ sɛ wɔrekɔhyia Yesu ɛkwan no, ɛfiri sɛ, na wɔate sɛ wayɛ anwanwadeɛ.
19 The Pharisees therefore said amongst themselves, “See how you accomplish nothing. Behold, the world has gone after him.”
Farisifoɔ no hunuu deɛ ɛrekɔ so no, wɔkaa sɛ, “Anyɛ yie! Monhwɛ sɛ nnipa no nyinaa atu adi nʼakyi!”
20 Now there were certain Greeks amongst those who went up to worship at the feast.
Afahyɛberɛ no mu no, Helafoɔ bi nso kɔɔ Yerusalem sɛ wɔrekɔsom.
21 Therefore, these came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida of Galilee, and asked him, saying, “Sir, we want to see Yeshua.”
Wɔkɔɔ Filipo a ɔfiri Betsaida no nkyɛn kɔka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Owura, yɛpɛ sɛ yɛhunu Yesu.”
22 Philip came and told Andrew, and in turn, Andrew came with Philip, and they told Yeshua.
Filipo kɔbɔɔ Andrea amaneɛ maa wɔn baanu kɔka kyerɛɛ Yesu.
23 Yeshua answered them, “The time has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.
Yesu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Ɛberɛ no aso sɛ wɔbɛhyɛ Onipa Ba no animuonyam.
24 Most certainly I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains by itself alone. But if it dies, it bears much fruit.
25 He who loves his life will lose it. He who hates his life in this world will keep it to eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
Obiara a ɔdɔ ne kra no bɛhwere ne nkwa, na deɛ ɔnnɔ ne kra no ɔbɛnya nkwa a ɛnni awieeɛ. (aiōnios g166)
26 If anyone serves me, let him follow me. Where I am, there my servant will also be. If anyone serves me, the Father will honour him.
Obiara a ɔpɛ sɛ ɔsom me no, ɛsɛ sɛ ɔdi mʼakyi, na baabiara a mewɔ no, ɛsɛ sɛ mʼasomfoɔ nso wɔ hɔ bi.”
27 “Now my soul is troubled. What shall I say? ‘Father, save me from this time’? But I came to this time for this cause.
Yesu kaa sɛ, “Afei deɛ, me kra ho yera no na asɛm bɛn na menka? Menka sɛ, ‘Agya, gye me firi saa amanehunu yi mu anaa?’ Nanso, yei enti na wosomaa me baa ewiase sɛ memmɛhunu amane.
28 Father, glorify your name!” Then a voice came out of the sky, saying, “I have both glorified it and will glorify it again.”
Agya, hyɛ wo din animuonyam!” Ɔkasa wieeɛ no, nne bi firi ɔsoro kaa sɛ, “Mahyɛ no animuonyam dada na mɛsane mahyɛ no bio.”
29 Therefore the multitude who stood by and heard it said that it had thundered. Others said, “An angel has spoken to him.”
Nnipakuo a na wɔwɔ hɔ no tee nne no, wɔkaa sɛ aprannaa na ɛrebobɔ mu. Ebinom nso kaa sɛ, ɔsoro ɔbɔfoɔ na ɔkasa kyerɛɛ no.
30 Yeshua answered, “This voice hasn’t come for my sake, but for your sakes.
Nanso, Yesu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Mo enti na saa nne yi kasaeɛ na ɛnyɛ me enti.
31 Now is the judgement of this world. Now the prince of this world will be cast out.
Afei, ɛberɛ aduru sɛ wɔbu ewiase atɛn na wɔtu ɔbonsam a ɔdi ewiase so no gu.
32 And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.”
Sɛ wɔnya ma me so firi asase mu a, mɛtwe nnipa nyinaa aba me nkyɛn.”
33 But he said this, signifying by what kind of death he should die.
Ɔkaa yei de kyerɛɛ owuo ko a ɔbɛwu no.
34 The multitude answered him, “We have heard out of the law that the Messiah remains forever. How do you say, ‘The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this Son of Man?” (aiōn g165)
Nnipa no kaa sɛ, “Atwerɛsɛm no di adanseɛ sɛ, Agyenkwa no renwu da. Adɛn enti na wɔka kyerɛ yɛn sɛ, ɛsɛ sɛ wɔma Onipa Ba no so? Hwan ne saa Onipa Ba no?” (aiōn g165)
35 Yeshua therefore said to them, “Yet a little while the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, that darkness doesn’t overtake you. He who walks in the darkness doesn’t know where he is going.
Yesu buaa wɔn sɛ, “Me hann no bɛhyerɛn ama mo mmerɛ tiawa bi mu. Ɛno enti, monnante mu ɛberɛ a mowɔ saa hann no mu yi nkɔ baabiara a mopɛ sɛ mokɔ, ansa na esum aduru; anyɛ saa a morenhunu kwan.
36 While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become children of light.” Yeshua said these things, and he departed and hid himself from them.
Ɛberɛ a mowɔ hann mu yi, monnye hann no nni na moayɛ hann no mma.” Yesu kaa nsɛm yi wieeɛ no, ɔfirii hɔ de ne ho kɔhintaeɛ.
37 But though he had done so many signs before them, yet they didn’t believe in him,
Ɛwom sɛ na Yesu ayɛ anwanwadeɛ ahodoɔ ama Yudafoɔ no ahunu deɛ, nanso na wɔnnye no nni ara.
38 that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke: “Lord, who has believed our report? To whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?”
Yei ne Odiyifoɔ Yesaia asɛm a ɔkaa sɛ, “Awurade, hwan na wagye yɛn asɛnka adi? Na hwan nso na ɔbɛgye wʼanwanwadwuma no adi sɛ adansedie?”
39 For this cause they couldn’t believe, for Isaiah said again:
Yudafoɔ no annye anni ɛfiri sɛ, na Odiyifoɔ Yesaia asane aka sɛ,
40 “He has blinded their eyes and he hardened their heart, lest they should see with their eyes, and perceive with their heart, and would turn, and I would heal them.”
“Onyankopɔn afira wɔn ani, na wapirim wɔn akoma, sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a wɔrentumi nnane mma me nkyɛn na masa wɔn yadeɛ.”
41 Isaiah said these things when he saw his glory, and spoke of him.
Yesaia kaa yei faa Yesu animuonyam a daakye ɔbɛnya a Onyankopɔn yi kyerɛɛ no no ho.
42 Nevertheless, even many of the rulers believed in him, but because of the Pharisees they didn’t confess it, so that they wouldn’t be put out of the synagogue,
Mpo, na Yudafoɔ mpanin no mu pii gye Yesu di, nanso na wɔsuro sɛ, sɛ Farisifoɔ no hunu wɔn a, wɔremma wɔmma asɔredan no mu bio.
43 for they loved men’s praise more than God’s praise.
Na wɔpɛ sɛ nnipa bɛkamfo wɔn sene sɛ Onyankopɔn bɛhyɛ wɔn animuonyam.
44 Yeshua cried out and said, “Whoever believes in me, believes not in me, but in him who sent me.
Yesu teaam sɛ, “Obiara a ɔgye me di no, ɛnyɛ me nko na ɔgye me di, na ɔgye deɛ ɔsomaa me no nso di.
45 He who sees me sees him who sent me.
Na deɛ ɔhunu me no hunu deɛ ɔsomaa me no nso.
46 I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in me may not remain in the darkness.
Maba ewiase sɛ hann, na obiara a ɔgye me di no ankɔ so antena sum mu.
47 If anyone listens to my sayings and doesn’t believe, I don’t judge him. For I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
“Obiara a ɔte mʼasɛm na ɔnni so no, meremmu no atɛn. Ɛfiri sɛ, mamma sɛ merebɛbu nnipa atɛn, na mmom, mebaeɛ sɛ merebɛgye wɔn nkwa.
48 He who rejects me, and doesn’t receive my sayings, has one who judges him. The word that I spoke will judge him in the last day.
Obiara a ɔpo me na ɔnnye mʼasɛm nni no, ɔtemmufoɔ bi wɔ hɔ a ɔbɛbu no atɛn. Me nsɛm a maka akyerɛ mo no na Atemmuo da no ɛbɛbu mo atɛn.
49 For I spoke not from myself, but the Father who sent me gave me a commandment, what I should say and what I should speak.
Nsɛm a maka no nyinaa, ɛnyɛ mʼankasa mʼadwene na mede ka kyerɛɛ mo, na mmom ɛyɛ deɛ Agya no ka kyerɛɛ me sɛ menka nkyerɛ mo no.
50 I know that his commandment is eternal life. The things therefore which I speak, even as the Father has said to me, so I speak.” (aiōnios g166)
Menim sɛ asɛm biara a Agya no ahyɛ me sɛ menka no de nnipa kɔ nkwa a ɛnni awieeɛ mu; enti asɛm a ɔbɛka akyerɛ me sɛ menka biara no, ɛno na meka!” (aiōnios g166)
