< Jeremiah 15 >

1 Then the LORD said to me, “Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind would not turn towards this people. Cast them out of my sight, and let them go out!
To pacoengah Angraeng mah kai khaeah, Ka hmaa ah Mosi hoi Samuel to angdoe moe, lawkthui hoi langlacadoeh, ka poekhaih amkhraih mak ai; Judah kaminawk to ka hmaa hoi takhoe o ving ah, caeh o ving lai nasoe.
2 It will happen when they ask you, ‘Where shall we go out?’ then you shall tell them, ‘The LORD says: “Such as are for death, to death; such as are for the sword, to the sword; such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for captivity, to captivity.”’
Nihcae mah, naa ah maw ka caeh o han loe? tiah na naa o nahaeloe, duek han pahoe ih kaminawk loe, duekhaih khaeah, sumsen han pahoe ih kaminawk loe, sumsen khaeah, khokhahaih hoi duek han pahoe ih kaminawk loe, khokhahaih khaeah, misong ah pahoe ih kaminawk loe, misong ah caeh o tih, tiah Angraeng mah thuih, tiah thuih paeh, tiah ang naa.
3 “I will appoint over them four kinds,” says the LORD: “the sword to kill, the dogs to tear, the birds of the sky, and the animals of the earth, to devour and to destroy.
Nihcae nuiah ka suek han ih misa palitonawk loe, hum hanah sumsen, ruet hanah uinawk, caak moe paaeh hanah, van ih tavaanawk hoi long ih moisannawk hae ni, tiah Angraeng mah thuih.
4 I will cause them to be tossed back and forth amongst all the kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh, the son of Hezekiah, king of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem.
Judah siangpahrang Hezekiah capa Manasseh loe Jerusalem ah sak ih hmuen pongah, long praenawk boih ah raihaih ka phaksak han.
5 For who will have pity on you, Jerusalem? Who will mourn you? Who will come to ask of your welfare?
Aw Jerusalem, mi mah maw na tahmen tih? To tih ai boeh loe mi mah maw na qah thui tih? To tih ai boeh loe ngantui maw tiah dueng hanah, mi maw nang khaeah angzo tih?
6 You have rejected me,” says the LORD. “You have gone backward. Therefore I have stretched out my hand against you and destroyed you. I am weary of showing compassion.
Kai nang pahnawt sut moe, hnukbang nam laem boeh pongah, na nuiah ban ka phok moe, kang hum han; dawnpakhuemhaih ka tawn mak ai, tiah Angraeng mah thuih.
7 I have winnowed them with a fan in the gates of the land. I have bereaved them of children. I have destroyed my people. They didn’t return from their ways.
Nihcae to prae khongkhanawk ah takhi hawhhaih paqa hoiah ka hawh han; a caanawk to palung ka setsak han, a caeh o haih loklam hoi amlaem o ai pongah, nihcae to kang hmatsak han.
8 Their widows are increased more than the sand of the seas. I have brought on them against the mother of the young men a destroyer at noonday. I have caused anguish and terrors to fall on her suddenly.
Judah ih lamhmainawk loe ka hmaa ah tuipui ih savuet pongah pop o tih; thendoengnawk ih amno hum kaminawk to athun naah ka patoeh han; nihcae nuiah zit kaom tasoehhaih to ka phaksak han.
9 She who has borne seven languishes. She has given up the spirit. Her sun has gone down while it was yet day. She has been disappointed and confounded. I will deliver their residue to the sword before their enemies,” says the LORD.
Ca nongpa sarihto tapen kami loe, thaboeng moe, hinghaih qui apet boeh; anih hanah loe athun li naah ni duem pae boeh; anih loe azathaih to tongh moe, poek anghmang sut boeh; kanghmat thoemto kaminawk doeh sumsen hoiah hum hanah, a misanawk khaeah ka paek han, tiah Angraeng mah thuih.
10 Woe is me, my mother, that you have borne me, a man of strife, and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have not lent, neither have men lent to me; yet every one of them curses me.
Kam no, kai loe khosak bing boeh! Prae boih ah angzoeh koeh kami, misa angcoeng koeh kami ah nang tapen moeng boeh! Amekhaih hnuk hanah minawk han tangka ka coisak ai; minawk ih tangka doeh ka coi ai; toe kami boih mah kai kasae ang thuih o.
11 The LORD said, “Most certainly I will strengthen you for good. Most certainly I will cause the enemy to make supplication to you in the time of evil and in the time of affliction.
Angraeng mah, Kahoih ai atue phak naah, kahoih ah kang suek han; raihaih hoi patangkhanghaih atue ah na misanawk mah nang khaeah tahmenhaih hni o tih, tiah thuih.
12 Can one break iron, even iron from the north, and bronze?

13 I will give your substance and your treasures for a plunder without price, and that for all your sins, even in all your borders.
Na sak ih zaehaihnawk pongah, na prae thungah na tawnh ih hmuenmae hoi tacongnawk to hmuenmae lomh kaminawk khaeah azom ah ka paek han.
14 I will make them to pass with your enemies into a land which you don’t know; for a fire is kindled in my anger, which will burn on you.”
Na panoek ai ih prae ah na misanawk hoi nawnto kang caehsak han; nangcae kangh hanah, palung ka phuihaih hmai baktiah angqong boeh, tiah a thuih.
15 LORD, you know. Remember me, visit me, and avenge me of my persecutors. You are patient, so don’t take me away. Know that for your sake I have suffered reproach.
Aw Angraeng, nang mah panoek; na panoek poe ah loe, na khenzawn ah; kai pacaekthlaek kaminawk to lu la ah; ka misanawk nuiah palungsawk hmah, kai hae na takhoe ving hmah; kai loe nang pongah kasaethuihaih to ka yok boeh, tiah panoek ah.
16 Your words were found, and I ate them. Your words were to me a joy and the rejoicing of my heart, for I am called by your name, LORD, God of Hosts.
17 I didn’t sit in the assembly of those who make merry and rejoice. I sat alone because of your hand, for you have filled me with indignation.
Kai loe kami pahnui thuih kaminawk angpophaih ahmuen ah kang hnu ai; nihcae hoi anghoehaih doeh ka sah ai; ka nuiah ban na koeng moe, palungphuihaih hoiah nang koisak pongah, kaimabueng ni kang hnut sut.
18 Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuses to be healed? Will you indeed be to me as a deceitful brook, like waters that fail?
Tipongah kai ih ahma loe nat parai moe, thah thai ai ahma, kahoih thai ai ahma ah oh loe? Nang loe kai hanah amsawnlok thui kami, tui kakaang vacong tuinawk baktiah maw na oh boeh?
19 Therefore the LORD says, “If you return, then I will bring you again, that you may stand before me; and if you take out the precious from the vile, you will be as my mouth. They will return to you, but you will not return to them.
To pongah Angraeng mah hae tiah thuih; nam laem let nahaeloe, ka tok sak hanah, kang hoih han; avang ai lok to thui ai, atho kaom loknawk to na thuih nahaeloe, kai ih pakha baktiah na om tih; nihcae loe nang khaeah amlaem o let nasoe; toe nang loe nihcae khaeah amlaem let hmah.
20 I will make you to this people a fortified bronze wall. They will fight against you, but they will not prevail against you; for I am with you to save you and to deliver you,” says the LORD.
Hae kaminawk khaeah kacak sumkamling tapang ah kang ohsak han; nang to pahlong moe, loisak hanah nang khaeah ka oh pongah, nihcae mah na tuh o cadoeh, na pazawk o mak ai, tiah Angraeng mah thuih.
21 “I will deliver you out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem you out of the hand of the terrible.”
Kasae kaminawk ih ban thung hoiah kang pahlong moe, zit kaom kaminawk ban thung hoiah kang loisak han.
