Isaiah 30
1 “Woe to the rebellious children”, says the LORD, “who take counsel, but not from me; and who make an alliance, but not with my Spirit, that they may add sin to sin;
പാപത്തോടു പാപം കൂട്ടുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം എന്നെ കൂടാതെ ആലോചന കഴിക്കയും എന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെ കൂടാതെ സഖ്യത ചെയ്കയും
2 who set out to go down into Egypt without asking for my advice, to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to take refuge in the shadow of Egypt!
ഫറവോന്റെ സംരക്ഷണയിൽ തങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ സംരക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും മിസ്രയീമിന്റെ നിഴലിൽ ശരണം പ്രാപിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും എന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു ചോദിക്കാതെ മിസ്രയീമിലേക്കു പോകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന മത്സരമുള്ള മക്കൾക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.
3 Therefore the strength of Pharaoh will be your shame, and the refuge in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.
എന്നാൽ ഫറവോന്റെ സംരക്ഷണ നിങ്ങൾക്കു നാണമായും മിസ്രയീമിന്റെ നിഴലിലെ ശരണം ലജ്ജയായും ഭവിക്കും.
4 For their princes are at Zoan, and their ambassadors have come to Hanes.
അവന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ സോവനിൽ ആയി അവന്റെ ദൂതന്മാർ ഹാനേസിൽ എത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
5 They shall all be ashamed because of a people that can’t profit them, that are not a help nor profit, but a shame, and also a reproach.”
അവർ ഒക്കെയും തങ്ങൾക്കു ലജ്ജയും അപമാനവും അല്ലാതെ ഉപകാരമോ സഹായമോ പ്രയോജനമോ ഒന്നും വരാത്ത ഒരു ജാതിനിമിത്തം ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകും.
6 The burden of the animals of the South. Through the land of trouble and anguish, of the lioness and the lion, the viper and fiery flying serpent, they carry their riches on the shoulders of young donkeys, and their treasures on the humps of camels, to an unprofitable people.
തെക്കെ ദേശത്തിലെ മൃഗങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള പ്രവാചകം: സിംഹി, കേസരി, അണലി, പറക്കുന്ന അഗ്നിസൎപ്പം എന്നിവ വരുന്നതായി കഷ്ടവും ക്ലേശവും ഉള്ള ദേശത്തുകൂടി, അവർ ഇളം കഴുതപ്പുറത്തു തങ്ങളുടെ സമ്പത്തും ഒട്ടകപ്പുറത്തു തങ്ങളുടെ നിക്ഷേപങ്ങളും കയറ്റി തങ്ങൾക്കു ഉപകാരം വരാത്ത ഒരു ജാതിയുടെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്നു.
7 For Egypt helps in vain, and to no purpose; therefore I have called her Rahab who sits still.
മിസ്രയീമ്യരുടെ സഹായം വ്യൎത്ഥവും നിഷ്ഫലവുമത്രെ; അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ അതിന്നു: അനങ്ങാതിരിക്കുന്ന സാഹസക്കാർ എന്നു പേർ വിളിക്കുന്നു.
8 Now go, write it before them on a tablet, and inscribe it in a book, that it may be for the time to come forever and ever.
നീ ഇപ്പോൾ ചെന്നു, വരുങ്കാലത്തേക്കു ഒരു ശാശ്വതസാക്ഷ്യമായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരുടെ മുമ്പാകെ അതിനെ ഒരു പലകയിൽ എഴുതി ഒരു രേഖയായി കുറിച്ചുവെക്കുക.
9 For it is a rebellious people, lying children, children who will not hear the LORD’s law;
അവർ മത്സരമുള്ളോരു ജനവും ഭോഷ്കു പറയുന്ന മക്കളും യഹോവയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം അനുസരിക്കാത്ത സന്തതിയുമല്ലോ.
10 who tell the seers, “Don’t see!” and the prophets, “Don’t prophesy to us right things. Tell us pleasant things. Prophesy deceits.
അവർ ദൎശകന്മാരോടു: ദൎശിക്കരുതു; പ്രവാചകന്മാരോടു: നേരുള്ളതു ഞങ്ങളോടു പ്രവചിക്കരുതു; മധുരവാക്കു ഞങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിപ്പിൻ; വ്യാജങ്ങളെ പ്രവചിപ്പിൻ;
11 Get out of the way. Turn away from the path. Cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.”
വഴി വിട്ടു നടപ്പിൻ; പാത തെറ്റി നടപ്പിൻ; യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനെ ഞങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു നീങ്ങുമാറാക്കുവിൻ എന്നു പറയുന്നു.
12 Therefore the Holy One of Israel says, “Because you despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and rely on it,
ആകയാൽ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധൻ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നിങ്ങൾ ഈ വചനത്തെ നിരസിച്ചുകളകയും പീഡനത്തിലും വക്രതയിലും ആശ്രയിച്ചു ചാരിനില്ക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു,
13 therefore this iniquity shall be to you like a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking comes suddenly in an instant.
ഈ അകൃത്യം നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഉയൎന്ന ചുവരിൽ ഉന്തിനില്ക്കുന്നതും പെട്ടന്നു ഒരു മാത്രകൊണ്ടു വീഴുന്നതും ആയ ഒരു പൊട്ടൽ പോലെ ആയിരിക്കും.
14 He will break it as a potter’s vessel is broken, breaking it in pieces without sparing, so that there won’t be found amongst the broken pieces a piece good enough to take fire from the hearth, or to dip up water out of the cistern.”
അടുപ്പിൽനിന്നു തീ എടുപ്പാനോ കുളത്തിൽനിന്നു വെള്ളം കോരുവാനോ കൊള്ളാകുന്ന ഒരു കഷണംപോലും ശേഷിക്കാതവണ്ണം ഒരുവൻ കുശവന്റെ പൊട്ടക്കലം ഗണ്യമാക്കാതെ ഉടെച്ചുകളയുന്നതു പോലെ അവൻ അതിനെ ഉടെച്ചുകളയും.
15 For thus said the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel, “You will be saved in returning and rest. Your strength will be in quietness and in confidence.” You refused,
യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനായി യഹോവയായ കൎത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: മനംതിരിഞ്ഞു അടങ്ങിയിരുന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾ രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടും. വിശ്രമിക്കുന്നതിലും ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നതിലും നിങ്ങളുടെ ബലം; എങ്കിലും നിങ്ങൾക്കു മനസ്സാകാതെ: അല്ല;
16 but you said, “No, for we will flee on horses;” therefore you will flee; and, “We will ride on the swift;” therefore those who pursue you will be swift.
ഞങ്ങൾ കുതിരപ്പുറത്തു കയറി ഓടിപ്പോകും എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പറഞ്ഞു; അതുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങൾ ഓടിപ്പോകേണ്ടിവരും; ഞങ്ങൾ തുരഗങ്ങളിന്മേൽ കയറിപ്പോകും എന്നും പറഞ്ഞു; അതുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളെ പിന്തുടരുന്നവരും വേഗതയുള്ളവരായിരിക്കും.
17 One thousand will flee at the threat of one. At the threat of five, you will flee until you are left like a beacon on the top of a mountain, and like a banner on a hill.
മലമുകളിൽ ഒരു കൊടിമരംപോലെയും കുന്നിമ്പുറത്തു ഒരു കൊടിപോലെയും നിങ്ങൾ ശേഷിക്കുന്നതുവരെ, ഏകന്റെ ഭീഷണിയാൽ ആയിരം പേരും അഞ്ചു പേരുടെ ഭീഷണിയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ ഒക്കെയും ഓടിപ്പോകും.
18 Therefore the LORD will wait, that he may be gracious to you; and therefore he will be exalted, that he may have mercy on you, for the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all those who wait for him.
അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ നിങ്ങളോടു കൃപ കാണിപ്പാൻ താമസിക്കുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു അവൻ നിങ്ങളോടു കരുണ കാണിക്കാതവണ്ണം ഉയൎന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; യഹോവ ന്യായത്തിന്റെ ദൈവമല്ലോ; അവന്നായി കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നവരൊക്കെയും; ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാർ.
19 For the people will dwell in Zion at Jerusalem. You will weep no more. He will surely be gracious to you at the voice of your cry. When he hears you, he will answer you.
യെരൂശലേമ്യരായ സീയോൻനിവാസികളേ, ഇനി കരഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കേണ്ടാ; നിങ്ങളുടെ നിലവിളിയുടെ ശബ്ദത്തിങ്കൽ അവന്നു നിശ്ചയമായിട്ടു കരുണ തോന്നും; അതു കേൾക്കുമ്പോൾ തന്നേ അവൻ ഉത്തരം അരുളും.
20 Though the Lord may give you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your teachers won’t be hidden any more, but your eyes will see your teachers;
കൎത്താവു നിങ്ങൾക്കു കഷ്ടത്തിന്റെ അപ്പവും ഞെരുക്കത്തിന്റെ വെള്ളവും മാത്രം തന്നാലും ഇനി നിന്റെ ഉപദേഷ്ടാവു മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കയില്ല; നിന്റെ കണ്ണു നിന്റെ ഉപദേഷ്ടാവിനെ കണ്ടുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കും.
21 and when you turn to the right hand, and when you turn to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way. Walk in it.”
നിങ്ങൾ വലത്തോട്ടോ ഇടത്തോട്ടോ തിരിയുമ്പോൾ: വഴി ഇതാകുന്നു, ഇതിൽ നടന്നുകൊൾവിൻ എന്നൊരു വാക്കു പിറകിൽനിന്നു കേൾക്കും.
22 You shall defile the overlaying of your engraved images of silver, and the plating of your molten images of gold. You shall cast them away as an unclean thing. You shall tell it, “Go away!”
വെള്ളി പൊതിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന ബിംബങ്ങളെയും പൊന്നു പൊതിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെയും നിങ്ങൾ അശുദ്ധമാക്കും; അവയെ മലിനമായോരു വസ്തുപോലെ എറിഞ്ഞുകളകയും പൊയ്ക്കൊ എന്നു പറകയും ചെയ്യും.
23 He will give the rain for your seed, with which you will sow the ground; and bread of the increase of the ground will be rich and plentiful. In that day, your livestock will feed in large pastures.
നീ നിലത്തു വിതെക്കുന്ന വിത്തിന്നു മഴയും നിലത്തിലെ വിളവായ അപ്പവും അവൻ നിനക്കു തരും; അതു പുഷ്ടിയും സമൃദ്ധിയും ഉള്ളതായിരിക്കും; അന്നു നിന്റെ കന്നുകാലികൾ വിസ്താരമായ മേച്ചൽപുറങ്ങളിൽ മേയും.
24 The oxen likewise and the young donkeys that till the ground will eat savoury feed, which has been winnowed with the shovel and with the fork.
നിലം ഉഴുന്ന കാളകളും കഴുതകളും മുറംകൊണ്ടും പല്ലികൊണ്ടും വീശി വെടിപ്പാക്കിയതും ഉപ്പു ചേൎത്തതുമായ തീൻ തിന്നും.
25 There will be brooks and streams of water on every lofty mountain and on every high hill in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.
മഹാസംഹാരദിവസത്തിൽ ഗോപുരങ്ങൾ വീഴുമ്പോൾ, ഉയരമുള്ള എല്ലാമലയിലും പൊക്കമുള്ള എല്ലാകുന്നിന്മേലും തോടുകളും നീരൊഴുക്കുകളും ഉണ്ടാകും.
26 Moreover the light of the moon will be like the light of the sun, and the light of the sun will be seven times brighter, like the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD binds up the fracture of his people, and heals the wound they were struck with.
യഹോവ തന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ മുറിവു കെട്ടുകയും അവരുടെ അടിപ്പിണർ പൊറുപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്ന നാളിൽ ചന്ദ്രന്റെ പ്രകാശം സൂൎയ്യന്റെ പ്രകാശം പോലെയാകും; സൂൎയ്യന്റെ പ്രകാശം ഏഴു പകലിന്റെ പ്രകാശംപോലെ ഏഴിരട്ടിയായിരിക്കും.
27 Behold, the LORD’s name comes from far away, burning with his anger, and in thick rising smoke. His lips are full of indignation. His tongue is as a devouring fire.
ഇതാ, കോപം ജ്വലിച്ചും കനത്ത പുക പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയുടെ നാമം ദൂരത്തുനിന്നു വരുന്നു; അവന്റെ അധരങ്ങളിൽ ഉഗ്രകോപം നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ നാവു ദഹിപ്പിക്കുന്ന തീപോലെയും ഇരിക്കുന്നു.
28 His breath is as an overflowing stream that reaches even to the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve of destruction. A bridle that leads to ruin will be in the jaws of the peoples.
ജാതികളെ നാശത്തിന്റെ അരിപ്പകൊണ്ടു അരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന്റെ ശ്വാസം കവിഞ്ഞൊഴുകുന്നതും കഴുത്തോളം വെള്ളമുള്ളതും ആയ തോടുപോലെയും ജാതികളുടെ വായിൽ അവരെ തെറ്റിച്ചുകളയുന്ന ഒരു കടിഞ്ഞാണായും ഇരിക്കുന്നു.
29 You will have a song, as in the night when a holy feast is kept, and gladness of heart, as when one goes with a flute to come to the LORD’s mountain, to Israel’s Rock.
നിങ്ങൾ ഉത്സവാഘോഷരാത്രിയിൽ എന്നപോലെ പാട്ടുപാടുകയും യഹോവയുടെ പൎവ്വതത്തിൽ യിസ്രായേലിൻ പാറയായവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെല്ലേണ്ടതിന്നു കുഴലോടുകൂടെ പോകുംപോലെ ഹൃദയപൂൎവ്വം സന്തോഷിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.
30 The LORD will cause his glorious voice to be heard, and will show the descent of his arm, with the indignation of his anger and the flame of a devouring fire, with a blast, storm, and hailstones.
യഹോവ തന്റെ മഹത്വമുള്ള മേഘനാദം കേൾപ്പിക്കയും ഉഗ്രകോപത്തോടും ദഹിപ്പിക്കുന്ന അഗ്നിജ്വാലയോടും കൊടുങ്കാറ്റു മഴക്കോൾ, കന്മഴ എന്നിവയോടും കൂടെ തന്റെ ഭുജത്തിന്റെ അവതരണം കാണിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.
31 For through the LORD’s voice the Assyrian will be dismayed. He will strike him with his rod.
യഹോവയുടെ മേഘനാദത്താൽ അശ്ശൂർ തകൎന്നുപോകും; തന്റെ വടികൊണ്ടു അവൻ അവനെ അടിക്കും.
32 Every stroke of the rod of punishment, which the LORD will lay on him, will be with the sound of tambourines and harps. He will fight with them in battles, brandishing weapons.
യഹോവ അവനെ വിധിദണ്ഡുകൊണ്ടു അടിക്കുന്ന ഓരോ അടിയോടും കൂടെ തപ്പിന്റെയും കിന്നരത്തിന്റെയും നാദം ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കും; അവൻ അവരോടു തകൎത്ത പടവെട്ടും.
33 For his burning place has long been ready. Yes, it is prepared for the king. He has made its pyre deep and large with fire and much wood. The LORD’s breath, like a stream of sulphur, kindles it.
പണ്ടു തന്നേ ഒരു ദഹനസ്ഥലം ഒരുക്കീട്ടുണ്ടല്ലോ; അതു രാജാവിന്നായിട്ടും ഒരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ അതിനെ ആഴവും വിശാലവും ആക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അതിന്റെ ചിതയിൽ വളരെ തീയും വിറകും ഉണ്ടു; യഹോവയുടെ ശ്വാസം ഒരു ഗന്ധകനദിപോലെ അതിനെ കത്തിക്കും.
