< Isaiah 29 >

1 Woe to Ariel! Ariel, the city where David encamped! Add year to year; let the feasts come around;
2 then I will distress Ariel, and there will be mourning and lamentation. She shall be to me as an altar hearth.
Síbẹ̀síbẹ̀ èmi yóò dó ti Arieli òun yóò ṣọ̀fọ̀ yóò sì sọkún, òun yóò sì dàbí pẹpẹ ọkàn sí mi.
3 I will encamp against you all around you, and will lay siege against you with posted troops. I will raise siege works against you.
Èmi yóò sì wà ní bùba yí ọ ká níbi gbogbo, Èmi yóò sì fi ilé ìṣọ́ yí ọ ká, Èmi yóò sì fi iṣẹ́ ìdó ti ni mi dojúkọ ọ́.
4 You will be brought down, and will speak out of the ground. Your speech will mumble out of the dust. Your voice will be as of one who has a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and your speech will whisper out of the dust.
Ní ìrẹ̀sílẹ̀, ìwọ ó sì máa sọ̀rọ̀ láti ilẹ̀ wá; ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ yóò sì máa kùn jáde láti inú erùpẹ̀. Ohun rẹ yóò máa jáde bí i ti ẹnìkan tó ní ẹ̀mí àfọ̀ṣẹ láti ilẹ̀ jáde wá, láti inú erùpẹ̀ ni ohùn rẹ yóò máa wá wúyẹ́wúyẹ́.
5 But the multitude of your foes will be like fine dust, and the multitude of the ruthless ones like chaff that blows away. Yes, it will be in an instant, suddenly.
Ṣùgbọ́n àwọn ọ̀tá rẹ, yóò dàbí yanrìn kíkúnná, agbo àwọn aláìláàánú bí ìyàngbò tí a fẹ́ dànù. Lójijì, ní ìṣẹ́jú kan,
6 She will be visited by the LORD of Hosts with thunder, with earthquake, with great noise, with whirlwind and storm, and with the flame of a devouring fire.
Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun yóò wá pẹ̀lú àrá àti ilẹ̀-rírì àti ariwo ńlá, àti ẹ̀fúùfù líle àti iná ajónirun.
7 The multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all who fight against her and her stronghold, and who distress her, will be like a dream, a vision of the night.
Lẹ́yìn náà, ọ̀gọ̀ọ̀rọ̀ ènìyàn tí gbogbo orílẹ̀-èdè tí ó bá Arieli jà, tí ó dojú ìjà kọ òun àti ilé olódi rẹ̀ tí ó sì dó tì í, yóò dàbí ẹni pé nínú àlá, bí ìran ní òru
8 It will be like when a hungry man dreams, and behold, he eats; but he awakes, and his hunger isn’t satisfied; or like when a thirsty man dreams, and behold, he drinks; but he awakes, and behold, he is faint, and he is still thirsty. The multitude of all the nations that fight against Mount Zion will be like that.
àti bí ìgbà tí ẹni tí ebi ń pa ń lá àlá pé òun ń jẹun, ṣùgbọ́n ó jí, ebi rẹ̀ sì wà pẹ̀lú rẹ̀; tàbí bí ìgbà tí ẹni tí òǹgbẹ ń gbẹ lá àlá pé òun ń mu omi, ṣùgbọ́n nígbà tí ó jí, sì wò ó, ó dákú, òǹgbẹ sì ń gbẹ ọkàn rẹ̀. Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni yóò sì rí fún ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ orílẹ̀-èdè tí ń bá òkè Sioni jà.
9 Pause and wonder! Blind yourselves and be blind! They are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.
Ẹ bẹ̀rù kí ẹnu kí ó yà yín, ẹ fọ́ ara yín lójú kí ẹ má sì ríran; ẹ mutí yó kì í ṣe ọtí wáìnì, ẹ ta gbọ̀nọ́ngbọ̀nọ́n, ṣùgbọ́n kì í ṣe ti ọtí líle.
10 For the LORD has poured out on you a spirit of deep sleep, and has closed your eyes, the prophets; and he has covered your heads, the seers.
Olúwa ti mú oorun ìjìká wá sórí i yín: ó ti dì yín lójú ẹ̀yin wòlíì; ó ti bo orí yín ẹ̀yin aríran.
11 All vision has become to you like the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one who is educated, saying, “Read this, please;” and he says, “I can’t, for it is sealed;”
Fún un yín gbogbo ìran yìí kò yàtọ̀ sí àwọn ọ̀rọ̀ tí a fi èdìdì dì sínú ìwé kíká. Bí ẹ bá sì fún ẹni tí ó lè ka ìwé kíká náà, tí ẹ sì sọ fún un pé, “Jọ̀wọ́ ka èyí,” òun yóò dáhùn pé, “Èmi kò lè kà á; a ti dì í ní èdìdì.”
12 and the book is delivered to one who is not educated, saying, “Read this, please;” and he says, “I can’t read.”
Tàbí bí ẹ bá fún ẹni tí kò lè ka ìwé kíká náà tí ẹ sì sọ pé, “Jọ̀wọ́ ka èyí,” òun yóò dáhùn pé, “Èmi kò mọ̀ ọ́n kà.”
13 The Lord said, “Because this people draws near with their mouth and honours me with their lips, but they have removed their heart far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment of men which has been taught;
Olúwa wí pé: “Àwọn ènìyàn yìí súnmọ́ ọ̀dọ̀ mi pẹ̀lú ẹnu wọn, wọ́n sì bọ̀wọ̀ fún mi pẹ̀lú ètè wọn, ṣùgbọ́n ọkàn wọn jìnnà sí mi. Ìsìn wọn si mi ni a gbé ka orí òfin tí àwọn ọkùnrin kọ́ ni.
14 therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work amongst this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder; and the wisdom of their wise men will perish, and the understanding of their prudent men will be hidden.”
Nítorí náà lẹ́ẹ̀kan sí i èmi yóò ya àwọn ènìyàn yìí lẹ́nu pẹ̀lú ìyanu lórí ìyanu; ọgbọ́n àwọn ọlọ́gbọ́n ni yóò ṣègbé, ìmọ̀ àwọn onímọ̀ ni yóò pòórá.”
15 Woe to those who deeply hide their counsel from the LORD, and whose deeds are in the dark, and who say, “Who sees us?” and “Who knows us?”
Ègbé ni fún àwọn tí ó lọ sí ọ̀gbun láti fi ètò wọn pamọ́ kúrò lójú Olúwa, tí wọ́n ń ṣe iṣẹ́ ẹ wọn nínú òkùnkùn tí wọ́n sì rò pé, “Ta ló rí wa? Ta ni yóò mọ̀?”
16 You turn things upside down! Should the potter be thought to be like clay, that the thing made should say about him who made it, “He didn’t make me;” or the thing formed say of him who formed it, “He has no understanding”?
Ẹ̀yin dojú nǹkan délẹ̀, bí ẹni pé wọ́n rò pé amọ̀kòkò dàbí amọ̀! Ǹjẹ́ ohun tí a ṣe le sọ fún olùṣe pé, “Òun kọ́ ló ṣe mí”? Ǹjẹ́ ìkòkò lè sọ nípa amọ̀kòkò pé, “Kò mọ nǹkan”?
17 Isn’t it yet a very little while, and Lebanon will be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field will be regarded as a forest?
Ní àìpẹ́ jọjọ, ǹjẹ́ a kò ní sọ Lebanoni di pápá ẹlẹ́tù lójú àti pápá ẹlẹ́tù lójú yóò dàbí aginjù?
18 In that day, the deaf will hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind will see out of obscurity and out of darkness.
Ní ọjọ́ náà adití yóò gbọ́ ọ̀rọ̀ ìwé kíká náà, láti inú fìrífìrí àti òkùnkùn ni àwọn ojú afọ́jú yóò ríran.
19 The humble also will increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor amongst men will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.
Lẹ́ẹ̀kan sí i àwọn onírẹ̀lẹ̀ yóò yọ̀ nínú Olúwa: àwọn aláìní yóò yọ̀ nínú Ẹni Mímọ́ ti Israẹli.
20 For the ruthless is brought to nothing, and the scoffer ceases, and all those who are alert to do evil are cut off—
Aláìláàánú yóò pòórá, àwọn tí ń ṣẹlẹ́yà yóò di àwátì, gbogbo àwọn tí ó ní ojú ibi ni a ó ké lulẹ̀—
21 who cause a person to be indicted by a word, and lay a snare for one who reproves in the gate, and who deprive the innocent of justice with false testimony.
àwọn tí wọ́n fi ọ̀rọ̀ kan mú ẹnìkan di ẹlẹ́bi, ẹni tí ń dẹkùn mú olùgbèjà ní ilé ẹjọ́ tí ẹ fi ẹ̀rí èké dun aláìṣẹ̀ ní ìdájọ́.
22 Therefore the LORD, who redeemed Abraham, says concerning the house of Jacob: “Jacob shall no longer be ashamed, neither shall his face grow pale.
Nítorí náà, èyí ni ohun tí Olúwa, ẹni tí ó ra Abrahamu padà sọ sí ilé Jakọbu: “Ojú kì yóò ti Jakọbu mọ́; ojú wọn kì yóò sì rẹ̀wẹ̀sì mọ́.
23 But when he sees his children, the work of my hands, in the middle of him, they will sanctify my name. Yes, they will sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and will stand in awe of the God of Israel.
Nígbà tí wọ́n bá rí i láàrín àwọn ọmọ wọn, àwọn iṣẹ́ ọwọ́ mi, wọn yóò ya orúkọ mi sí mímọ́, wọn yóò tẹ́wọ́gbà mímọ́ Ẹni Mímọ́ Jakọbu wọn yóò dìde dúró ní ìbọ̀wọ̀ fún Ọlọ́run Israẹli.
24 They also who err in spirit will come to understanding, and those who grumble will receive instruction.”
Gbogbo àwọn tí ń rìn ségesège ní yóò jèrè ìmọ̀; gbogbo àwọn tí ń ṣe àròyé yóò gba ìtọ́sọ́nà.”
