< Hebrews 4 >

1 Let’s fear therefore, lest perhaps anyone of you should seem to have come short of a promise of entering into his rest.
Rumal kꞌu riꞌ, qas qila na ri kaqabꞌano, rumal cher pune yaꞌtal na bꞌe chaqe kujok pa ri uxlanem, kꞌo bꞌa jun mat koꞌk kanoq.
2 For indeed we have had good news preached to us, even as they also did, but the word they heard didn’t profit them, because it wasn’t mixed with faith by those who heard.
Rumal cher chaqe uj xtzijox wi ri utz laj tzij ri xtzijox chike aꞌreꞌ, pune jeriꞌ man kꞌo ta xutayij ri tzij chike ri xkitatabꞌej, rumal cher man xkikoj ta ri xbꞌix chike.
3 For we who have believed do enter into that rest, even as he has said, “As I swore in my wrath, they will not enter into my rest;” although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
Are kꞌu ri uj ri xujkojonik che ri utz laj tzij, xujokik pa ri uxlanem, are kꞌu ri man xkikoj taj ri xbꞌix chike xubꞌij: Xaq jeriꞌ rukꞌ woyawal xinbꞌij chi man koꞌk ta wi pa ri wuxlanem. Jewaꞌ xubꞌij ri Dios rumal xnaꞌtaj che are xtoꞌtajik chubꞌanik ri uchak are xutik ronojel ri uwachulew.
4 For he has said this somewhere about the seventh day, “God rested on the seventh day from all his works;”
Jeriꞌ rumal cher ri Tzꞌibꞌatalik katzijon chirij ri wuq qꞌij kubꞌij: Pa ri wuq qꞌij xuxlan ri Dios che ronojel ri uchak.
5 and in this place again, “They will not enter into my rest.”
Xuqujeꞌ junmul chik pa ri tzꞌibꞌatalik riꞌ kubꞌij: Man kekwin taj koꞌk pa ri wuxlanem.
6 Seeing therefore it remains that some should enter into it, and they to whom the good news was preached before failed to enter in because of disobedience,
Pune jeriꞌ e kꞌo na jujun ri majaꞌ koꞌk pa ri uxlanem, are waꞌ ri xetow nabꞌe ri utz laj tzij, xa kꞌu rumal man xeniman taj rumal riꞌ man xoꞌk taj pa ri uxlanem.
7 he again defines a certain day, “today”, saying through David so long a time afterward (just as has been said), “Today if you will hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts.”
Rumal riꞌ kuya chi na jun qꞌij, are ri qꞌij kamik, jeriꞌ, rumal kꞌu riꞌ are ikꞌowinaq chik sibꞌalaj kꞌi junabꞌ, ri David xubꞌij: We kita ri uchꞌabꞌal ri Dios kamik, makibꞌan ta bꞌa ko che ri iwanimaꞌ.
8 For if Joshua had given them rest, he would not have spoken afterward of another day.
Ri Josué we ta xuya ri uxlanem chike, mat xtzijon ri Dios riꞌ chirij jun qꞌijal chik.
9 There remains therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God.
Rumal riꞌ kꞌa kꞌo na jun uxlanem chike ri utinimit ri Dios.
10 For he who has entered into his rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from his.
Xapachin kꞌu ri kok pa ri uxlanem, kuxlan riꞌ che ri uchak, jetaq ri xubꞌan ri Dios, xuxlanik are xtoꞌtaj che ri uchak.
11 Let’s therefore give diligence to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience.
Qakojo bꞌa qachuqꞌabꞌ rech kujok pa ri uxlanem riꞌ, rech jeriꞌ man kꞌo ta jun are kuꞌtereneꞌj ri man xeniman taj.
12 For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
Qas tzij wi ri utzij ri Dios kꞌaslik xuqujeꞌ kꞌo ukwinem, kꞌo na cho ri chꞌichꞌ ri kebꞌ upuꞌchiꞌ are kasakꞌinik. Kok bꞌik kꞌa pa ri ukꞌuꞌx ri animaꞌaj, ri uxlabꞌal xuqujeꞌ kꞌa chupam ri ubꞌaqil ri winaq, xuqujeꞌ kuqꞌat tzij puꞌwiꞌ ri chomabꞌal xuqujeꞌ ri urayinik ri animaꞌaj.
13 There is no creature that is hidden from his sight, but all things are naked and laid open before the eyes of him to whom we must give an account.
Man kꞌo ta jun jastaq che ri tiktalik kakwinik karawaj ribꞌ cho ri Dios. Ronojel ri jastaq qꞌalaj cho ri kilow ronojel, cho areꞌ kaqaya wi na kwenta che ronojel.
14 Having then a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Yeshua, the Son of God, let’s hold tightly to our confession.
Rumal bꞌa che ri yaꞌtal chaqe jun kinimal ri chꞌawenelabꞌ cho ri Dios ri xok bꞌik pa ri kaj, ri Jesús ukꞌojol ri Dios, chujjeqel bꞌa pa ri qakojobꞌal.
15 For we don’t have a high priest who can’t be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but one who has been in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin.
Rumal cher man kꞌo ta jun chꞌawenel cho ri Dios pa qawiꞌ ri mat karilo xuqujeꞌ kuchomaj chi kujtaqchiꞌx pa mak, rumal cher jeriꞌ xbꞌan che Areꞌ xwi che ri Areꞌ maj wi mak xubꞌano.
16 Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need.
Xaq jeriꞌ chujqebꞌ bꞌa rukꞌ ri Dios rukꞌ kꞌulibꞌal kꞌuꞌx are kꞌo qarajawaxik rech jeriꞌ kaqakꞌamawaꞌj ri utoqꞌobꞌ rech kujutoꞌo pa ri qꞌotaj ri qas kajawataj chaqe.
