Hebrews 11
1 Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen.
| پس ایمان، اعتماد بر چیزهای امید داشته شده است و برهان چیزهای نادیده. | ۱ |
2 For by this, the elders obtained approval.
| زیرا که به این، برای قدما شهادت داده شد. | ۲ |
3 By faith we understand that the universe has been framed by the word of God, so that what is seen has not been made out of things which are visible. (aiōn g165)
| به ایمان فهمیده‌ایم که عالم‌ها به کلمه خدامرتب گردید، حتی آنکه چیزهای دیدنی ازچیزهای نادیدنی ساخته شد. (aiōn g165) | ۳ |
4 By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he had testimony given to him that he was righteous, God testifying with respect to his gifts; and through it he, being dead, still speaks.
| به ایمان هابیل قربانی نیکوتر از قائن را به خدا گذرانید و به‌سبب آن شهادت داده شد که عادل است، به آنکه خدا به هدایای او شهادت می‌دهد؛ و به‌سبب همان بعد از مردن هنوزگوینده است. | ۴ |
5 By faith Enoch was taken away, so that he wouldn’t see death, and he was not found, because God translated him. For he has had testimony given to him that before his translation he had been well pleasing to God.
| به ایمان خنوخ منتقل گشت تا موت را نبیندو نایاب شد چرا‌که خدا او را منتقل ساخت زیراقبل از انتقال وی شهادت داده شد که رضامندی خدا را حاصل کرد. | ۵ |
6 Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him.
| لیکن بدون ایمان تحصیل رضامندی او محال است، زیرا هر‌که تقرب به خدا جوید، لازم است که ایمان آورد بر اینکه اوهست و جویندگان خود را جزا می‌دهد. | ۶ |
7 By faith Noah, being warned about things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared a ship for the saving of his house, through which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.
| به ایمان نوح چون درباره اموری که تا آن وقت دیده نشده، الهام یافته بود، خداترس شده، کشتی‌ای بجهت اهل خانه خود بساخت و به آن، دنیا را ملزم ساخته، وارث آن عدالتی که از ایمان است گردید. | ۷ |
8 By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed to go out to the place which he was to receive for an inheritance. He went out, not knowing where he went.
| به ایمان ابراهیم چون خوانده شد، اطاعت نمود و بیرون رفت به سمت آن مکانی که می‌بایست به میراث یابد. پس بیرون آمد ونمی دانست به کجا می‌رود. | ۸ |
9 By faith he lived as an alien in the land of promise, as in a land not his own, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise.
| و به ایمان در زمین وعده مثل زمین بیگانه غربت پذیرفت و درخیمه‌ها با اسحاق و یعقوب که در میراث همین وعده شریک بودند مسکن نمود. | ۹ |
10 For he was looking for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
| زانرو که مترقب شهری بابنیاد بود که معمار و سازنده آن خداست. | ۱۰ |
11 By faith even Sarah herself received power to conceive, and she bore a child when she was past age, since she counted him faithful who had promised.
| به ایمان خود ساره نیز قوت قبول نسل یافت و بعد از انقضای وقت زایید، چونکه وعده‌دهنده را امین دانست. | ۱۱ |
12 Therefore as many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as innumerable as the sand which is by the sea shore, were fathered by one man, and him as good as dead.
| و از این سبب، ازیک نفر و آن هم مرده، مثل ستارگان آسمان، کثیرو مانند ریگهای کنار دریا، بی‌شمار زاییده شدند. | ۱۲ |
13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them and embraced them from afar, and having confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
| در ایمان همه ایشان فوت شدند، درحالیکه وعده‌ها را نیافته بودند، بلکه آنها را از دوردیده، تحیت گفتند و اقرار کردند که بر روی زمین، بیگانه و غریب بودند. | ۱۳ |
14 For those who say such things make it clear that they are seeking a country of their own.
| زیرا کسانی که همچنین می‌گویند، ظاهر می‌سازند که در جستجوی وطنی هستند. | ۱۴ |
15 If indeed they had been thinking of that country from which they went out, they would have had enough time to return.
| و اگر جایی را که از آن بیرون آمدند، بخاطر می‌آوردند، هرآینه فرصت می‌داشتند که (بدانجا) برگردند. | ۱۵ |
16 But now they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed of them, to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.
| لکن الحال مشتاق وطنی نیکوتر یعنی (وطن ) سماوی هستند و از اینرو خدا از ایشان عار ندارد که خدای ایشان خوانده شود، چونکه برای ایشان شهری مهیا ساخته است. | ۱۶ |
17 By faith, Abraham, being tested, offered up Isaac. Yes, he who had gladly received the promises was offering up his only born son,
| به ایمان ابراهیم چون امتحان شد، اسحاق را گذرانید و آنکه وعده‌ها را پذیرفته بود، پسریگانه خود را قربانی می‌کرد؛ | ۱۷ |
18 to whom it was said, “Your offspring will be accounted as from Isaac,”
| که به او گفته شده بود که «نسل تو به اسحاق خوانده خواهد شد.» | ۱۸ |
19 concluding that God is able to raise up even from the dead. Figuratively speaking, he also did receive him back from the dead.
| چونکه یقین دانست که خدا قادر بربرانگیزانیدن از اموات است و همچنین او را درمثلی از اموات نیز باز‌یافت. | ۱۹ |
20 By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau, even concerning things to come.
| به ایمان اسحاق نیز یعقوب و عیسو را درامور آینده برکت داد. | ۲۰ |
21 By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph, and worshipped, leaning on the top of his staff.
| به ایمان یعقوب در وقت مردن خود، هریکی از پسران یوسف را برکت داد و بر سر عصای خود سجده کرد. | ۲۱ |
22 By faith Joseph, when his end was near, made mention of the departure of the children of Israel, and gave instructions concerning his bones.
| به ایمان یوسف در حین وفات خود، ازخروج بنی‌اسرائیل اخبار نمود و درباره استخوانهای خود وصیت کرد. | ۲۲ |
23 By faith Moses, when he was born, was hidden for three months by his parents, because they saw that he was a beautiful child; and they were not afraid of the king’s commandment.
| به ایمان موسی چون متولد شد، والدینش او را طفلی جمیل یافته، سه ماه پنهان کردند و ازحکم پادشاه بیم نداشتند. | ۲۳ |
24 By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter,
| به ایمان چون موسی بزرگ شد، ابا نمود ازاینکه پسر دختر فرعون خوانده شود، | ۲۴ |
25 choosing rather to share ill treatment with God’s people than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a time,
| و ذلیل بودن با قوم خدا را پسندیده تر داشت از آنکه لذت اندک زمانی گناه را ببرد؛ | ۲۵ |
26 considering the reproach of the Messiah greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he looked to the reward.
| و عار مسیح رادولتی بزرگتر از خزائن مصر پنداشت زیرا که به سوی مجازات نظر می‌داشت. | ۲۶ |
27 By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.
| به ایمان، مصررا ترک کرد و از غضب پادشاه نترسید زیرا که چون آن نادیده را بدید، استوار ماند. | ۲۷ |
28 By faith he kept the Passover and the sprinkling of the blood, that the destroyer of the firstborn should not touch them.
| به ایمان، عید فصح و پاشیدن خون را بعمل آورد تاهلاک کننده نخستزادگان، بر ایشان دست نگذارد. | ۲۸ |
29 By faith they passed through the Sea of Suf as on dry land. When the Egyptians tried to do so, they were swallowed up.
| به ایمان، از بحر قلزم به خشکی عبورنمودند واهل مصر قصد آن کرده، غرق شدند. | ۲۹ |
30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they had been encircled for seven days.
| به ایمان حصار اریحا چون هفت روز آن راطواف کرده بودند، به زیر افتاد. | ۳۰ |
31 By faith Rahab the prostitute didn’t perish with those who were disobedient, having received the spies in peace.
| به ایمان، راحاب فاحشه با عاصیان هلاک نشد زیرا که جاسوسان را به سلامتی پذیرفته بود. | ۳۱ |
32 What more shall I say? For the time would fail me if I told of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and the prophets—
| و دیگر‌چه گویم؟ زیرا که وقت مرا کفاف نمی دهد که از جدعون و باراق و شمشون و یفتاح و داود و سموئیل و انبیا اخبار نمایم، | ۳۲ |
33 who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked out righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,
| که ازایمان، تسخیر ممالک کردند و به اعمال صالحه پرداختند و وعده‌ها را پذیرفتند و دهان شیران رابستند، | ۳۳ |
34 quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, from weakness were made strong, grew mighty in war, and caused foreign armies to flee.
| سورت آتش را خاموش کردند و از دم شمشیرها رستگار شدند و از ضعف، توانایی یافتند و در جنگ شجاع شدند و لشکرهای غربارا منهزم ساختند. | ۳۴ |
35 Women received their dead by resurrection. Others were tortured, not accepting their deliverance, that they might obtain a better resurrection.
| زنان، مردگان خود را به قیامتی باز‌یافتند، لکن دیگران معذب شدند وخلاصی را قبول نکردند تا به قیامت نیکوتربرسند. | ۳۵ |
36 Others were tried by mocking and scourging, yes, moreover by bonds and imprisonment.
| و دیگران از استهزاها و تازیانه‌ها بلکه از بندها و زندان آزموده شدند. | ۳۶ |
37 They were stoned. They were sawn apart. They were tempted. They were slain with the sword. They went around in sheep skins and in goat skins; being destitute, afflicted, ill-treated—
| سنگسارگردیدند و با اره دوپاره گشتند. تجربه کرده شدندو به شمشیر مقتول گشتند. در پوستهای گوسفندان و بزها محتاج و مظلوم و ذلیل و آواره شدند. | ۳۷ |
38 of whom the world was not worthy—wandering in deserts, mountains, caves, and the holes of the earth.
| آنانی که جهان لایق ایشان نبود، درصحراها و کوهها و مغاره‌ها و شکافهای زمین پراکنده گشتند. | ۳۸ |
39 These all, having been commended for their faith, didn’t receive the promise,
| پس جمیع ایشان با اینکه از ایمان شهادت داده شدند، وعده را نیافتند. | ۳۹ |
40 God having provided some better thing concerning us, so that apart from us they should not be made perfect.
| زیرا خدا برای ماچیزی نیکوتر مهیا کرده است تا آنکه بدون ماکامل نشوند. | ۴۰ |
