< Galatians 5 >

1 Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Messiah has made us free, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
Ablɔɖemenɔnɔ ta Kristo wɔ mí ablɔɖeviwoe ɖo. Eya ta minɔ tsitre sesĩe, eye migana kluvinyenye ƒe kɔkuti nagaku kɔ na mi azɔ o.
2 Behold, I, Paul, tell you that if you receive circumcision, Messiah will profit you nothing.
Mide dzesi nye nyawo! Nye Paulo, mele egblɔm na mi be ne mieɖe mɔ wotso aʋa na mi la, ekema viɖe aɖeke manɔ Kristo ŋu na mi o.
3 Yes, I testify again to every man who receives circumcision that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
Megale egblɔm ake na ame sia ame si lɔ̃ wotso aʋa nɛ la be ele nɛ be wòawɔ ɖe se blibo la katã dzi.
4 You are alienated from Messiah, you who desire to be justified by the law. You have fallen away from grace.
Mi ame siwo le didim be woatso afia na yewo to se la dzi wɔwɔ me la, woklã mi ɖa tso Kristo gbɔ; amenuveve la bu ɖe mi.
5 For we through the Spirit, by faith wait for the hope of righteousness.
Elabena to Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe la me la, míele mɔ kpɔm vevie na dzɔdzɔenyenye la le xɔse me.
6 For in Messiah Yeshua neither circumcision nor uncircumcision amounts to anything, but faith working through love.
Elabena le Kristo Yesu me la, aʋatsotso alo aʋamatsomatso mate ŋu awɔ naneke o. Ke nu si míehiã la koe nye xɔse si wɔa dɔ to lɔlɔ̃ me.
7 You were running well! Who interfered with you that you should not obey the truth?
Mienɔ du ƒum nyuie hafi. Ke ame kae va flu mi, eye wòxe mɔ na mi be miagaɖo to nyateƒe la o?
8 This persuasion is not from him who calls you.
Menye ame si yɔ mi lae ƒo nya sia ɖe mia nu o.
9 A little yeast grows through the whole lump.
“Amɔ ʋaʋã sue aɖe nana amɔ blibo la ʋãna.”
10 I have confidence towards you in the Lord that you will think no other way. But he who troubles you will bear his judgement, whoever he is.
Mele mɔ kpɔm le Aƒetɔ la me be miabu nu bubu aɖeke ŋuti o. Ame ka kee le fu ɖem na mi hele mia flum hã la, Mawu ŋutɔ ahe to nɛ.
11 But I, brothers, if I still proclaim circumcision, why am I still persecuted? Then the stumbling block of the cross has been removed.
Nɔviwo, ne megale gbeƒã ɖem aʋatsotso ɖe, nu ka ta wogale yonyeme tim ɖo? Ekema woɖe atitsoga la ƒe nuɖiaɖia ɖa.
12 I wish that those who disturb you would cut themselves off.
Ɖeko medi vevie be nufiala siwo di be miana woatso aʋa na mi la, woaɖe wo ɖokuiwo ɖa le mia dome, eye woaɖe ɖa le mia ŋu kpoo.
13 For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don’t use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love be servants to one another.
Elabena nɔvinyewo, woyɔ mi, eye wona ablɔɖe mi. Ke ablɔɖe la magana mianɔ agbe le ŋutilã nu o; ke boŋ be miave mia nɔewo nu le ɖokuibɔbɔ kple lɔlɔ̃ me.
14 For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this: “You shall love your neighbour as yourself.”
Elabena wowu se blibo la katã nu to se ɖeka sia dzi wɔwɔ me, si nye, “Lɔ̃ hawòvi abe ɖokuiwò ene.”
15 But if you bite and devour one another, be careful that you don’t consume one another.
Ke ne mieɖe ɖeklemi, eye miewɔ dzre kple mia nɔewo la, mikpɔ nyuie be miagagblẽ nu le mia nɔewo ŋu o.
16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfil the lust of the flesh.
Eya ta mele egblɔm be minɔ agbe le Gbɔgbɔ la me, ale be miagawɔ ɖe ŋutilã ƒe nudzodzrowo dzi o.
17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, that you may not do the things that you desire.
Elabena ŋutilã la ƒe nudzodzrowo tsi tsitre ɖe Gbɔgbɔ la ŋu, eye Gbɔgbɔ la ƒe nudzodzrowo tsi tsitre ɖe ŋutilã la ŋu. Wole avu wɔm kple wo nɔewo, ale be miate ŋu awɔ nu si miedi be miawɔ la o.
18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
Ke ne Gbɔgbɔ la le mia kplɔm la, miegale se la te o.
19 Now the deeds of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness,
Ke ŋutilã ƒe nudzodzrowo dze ƒãa. Woawoe nye: matrewɔwɔ, makɔmakɔnyenye, hadzedze,
20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies,
trɔ̃subɔsubɔ, adzewɔwɔ, fuléle, dzrewɔwɔ, ŋuʋaʋã, dɔmedzoedodo, ɖokuitɔdidi, nu masɔmasɔ, mamawo,
21 envy, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practise such things will not inherit God’s Kingdom.
ŋubiabiã, ahamumu, aglotutu vɔ̃wo kple esia tɔgbiwo. Mele nu xlɔ̃m mi, abe ale si mexlɔ̃ nu mi va yi ene la be ame siwo nɔa agbe alea la, manyi mawufiaɖuƒe la ƒe dome o.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith,
Ke Gbɔgbɔ la ƒe kutsetsee nye lɔlɔ̃, dzidzɔ, ŋutifafa, dzigbɔɖi, dɔmenyowɔwɔ, nyuiwɔwɔ, nuteƒewɔwɔ,
23 gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
tufafa kple ɖokuidziɖuɖu. Se la metsi tsitre ɖe nu siawo ŋuti o.
24 Those who belong to Messiah have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.
Ame siwo nye Kristo Yesu tɔ la klã woƒe ŋutilã kple eƒe nudzodzro vɔ̃wo ɖe ati ŋuti.
25 If we live by the Spirit, let’s also walk by the Spirit.
Esi míele agbe le Gbɔgbɔ la me la, mina míazɔ hã le eƒe kpɔkplɔ te.
26 Let’s not become conceited, provoking one another, and envying one another.
Mígana dada nayɔ mía me o, mígado dziku na mía nɔewo o, eye mía nɔewo ƒe nu megave dɔ me na mí o.
