Acts 23
1 Paul, looking steadfastly at the council, said, “Brothers, I have lived before God in all good conscience until today.”
୧ପାଉଲ୍ ବଡ୍ସବାର୍ ଲକ୍ମନ୍କେ ସିଦା ଦେକି କଇଲା, “ଏ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର୍ ବାଇମନ୍! ଆଜିକେ ଜାକ ମୁଇ ପରମେସରର୍ ମୁଆଟେ କେନ୍ତାର୍ ଜିବନ୍ ବିତାଇ ଆଚି, ସେ ବିସଇଟାନେ ମନ୍ ପୁରାପୁରୁନ୍ ନିର୍ମଲ୍ ଆଚେ ।”
2 The high priest, Ananias, commanded those who stood by him to strike him on the mouth.
୨ଏ କାତା ସୁନିକରି ଅନନିଅ ନାଉଁର୍ ବଡ୍ ପୁଜାରି ପାଉଲର୍ ଲଗେ ଟିଆଅଇରଇବା ଲକ୍ମନ୍କେ, ତାର୍ ଗାଲେ ଚାପଡ୍ ମାରା ବଲି ତିଆର୍ଲା ।
3 Then Paul said to him, “God will strike you, you whitewashed wall! Do you sit to judge me according to the Torah, and command me to be struck contrary to the law?”
୩ପାଉଲ୍ ତାକେ କଇଲା, “ଏ ଚୁନ୍ ମାରିଅଇଲା ଦବ୍ଲା ଉଆଁରି କତି, ପର୍ମେସର୍ ତକେ ଡଣ୍ଡ୍ ଦେଇସି ଆକା । ନିୟମ୍ ଇସାବେ ମର୍ ବିଚାର୍ କର୍ବାକେ, ତୁଇ ତେଇ ବସିଆଚୁସ୍ । ଏଲେ ମିସା, ନିୟମ୍ ବାଙ୍ଗିକରି ମକେ ମାର୍ବାକେ ତିଆର୍ଲୁସ୍ନି!”
4 Those who stood by said, “Do you malign God’s high priest?”
୪ଲଗେ ରଇବା ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ପାଉଲ୍କେ କଇଲାଇ, “ପର୍ମେସର୍ ବାଚିରଇବା ବଡ୍ ପୁଜାରିକେ ତୁଇ ନିନ୍ଦା କଲୁସ୍ନି!”
5 Paul said, “I didn’t know, brothers, that he was high priest. For it is written, ‘You shall not speak evil of a ruler of your people.’”
୫ପାଉଲ୍ କଇଲା, “ଏ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର୍ ବାଇମନ୍, ସେ ବଡ୍ ପୁଜାରି ବଲି ମୁଇ ନାଜାନିରଇଲି । ସାସ୍ତରେ ଲେକାଆଚେ, ତମେ ନିଜର୍ ଜାତିର୍ ସାସନ୍କାରିଆକେ କରାପ୍ କାତା କଇବାର୍ନାଇ ।”
6 But when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, “Men and brothers, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees. Concerning the hope and resurrection of the dead I am being judged!”
୬ବଡ୍ ସବାର୍ ମେମର୍ମନର୍ ବିତ୍ରେ କେତେଟା ପାରୁସି ଆରି କେତେଟା ସାଦୁକିମନ୍ ରଇଲାଟା ଦେକି ପାଉଲ୍ ବଡ୍ ସବାର୍ ଲକ୍ମନ୍କେ ଦେକାଇ ଆଉଲି ଅଇକରି କଇଲା, “ଏ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର୍ ବାଇମନ୍, ମୁଇ ଗଟେକ୍ ପାରୁସି ଲକ୍, ମର୍ ଆୟା ବାବା ମିସା ପାରୁସି । ମଲା ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ଆରିତରେକ୍ ଉଟ୍ବାଟା ମର୍ ଆସା ଆଚେ ବଲି, ଇତି ମର୍ ବିଚାର୍ନା ଅଇଲାନି ।”
7 When he had said this, an argument arose between the Pharisees and Sadducees, and the crowd was divided.
୭ପାଉଲ୍ ଏ କାତା କଇଲା ଦାପ୍ରେ, ପାରୁସି ଆରି ସାଦୁକିମନର୍ ବିତ୍ରେ ଲାଗାଜଡା ଅଇଗାଲାଇ ଆରି ସେମନ୍ ବେଗ୍ଲି ଗାଲାଇ ।
8 For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, nor angel, nor spirit; but the Pharisees confess all of these.
୮କାଇକେବଇଲେ ସାଦୁକିମନର୍ ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ ଇସାବେ ମଲା ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ନ ଉଟତ୍ । ସରଗର୍ ଦୁତ୍ କି ଆତ୍ମା ମିସା ନାଇ ବଲି, ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ କର୍ବାଇ, ମାତର୍ ପାରୁସିମନ୍ ଏ ତିନ୍ଟା ଜାକ ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ କର୍ତେରଇଲାଇ ।
9 A great clamour arose, and some of the scribes of the Pharisees’ part stood up, and contended, saying, “We find no evil in this man. But if a spirit or angel has spoken to him, let’s not fight against God!”
୯ସେମନର୍ କିରଜାଟି ଅଇବାଟା ଅଦିକ୍ ଅଦିକ୍ ଅଇଆଇଲା । ପାରୁସି ଦଲର୍ କେତେଟା ଦରମ୍ ଗୁରୁ ଉଟିକରି ଡାଟ୍ ସଙ୍ଗ୍ କଇଲାଇ, “ଆମେ ଏ ଲକର୍ ଟାନେଅନି କାଇ ଦସ୍ ମିସା ମିଲାଉ ନାଇ । କେଜାନେ ଆକେ ଗଟେକ୍ ସରଗର୍ ଦୁତ୍ କି ଆତ୍ମା କାତା କଇରଇସି ।”
10 When a great argument arose, the commanding officer, fearing that Paul would be torn in pieces by them, commanded the soldiers to go down and take him by force from amongst them and bring him into the barracks.
୧୦ତାକର୍ ଦଦାପେଲା ଅଦିକ୍ ଅଦିକ୍ ଅଇଗାଲାକେ ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ପାଉଲ୍କେ ଗନ୍ଦାଗନ୍ଦା କରି ଚିରି ପାକାଇବାଇ ବଲି ସନିଅମନର୍ ମୁକିଅ ଡର୍ଲା । ତେବେ ସେ ଗଣ୍ଡ୍ଗଲ୍ ଅଇବା ଲକ୍ମନର୍ ବିତ୍ରେଅନି ପାଉଲ୍କେ ରକିଆ କରି ଗଡ୍ ବିତ୍ରେ ଦାରି ଜିବାକେ ସନିଅମନ୍କେ ତିଆର୍ଲା ।
11 The following night, the Lord stood by him and said, “Cheer up, Paul, for as you have testified about me at Jerusalem, so you must testify also at Rome.”
୧୧ସେ ରାତି ମାପ୍ରୁ ପାଉଲର୍ ଲଗେ ଟିଆଅଇ କଇଲା, “ଡର୍ ନାଇ! ମର୍ ପାଇ ଇତି ଜିରୁସାଲାମେ ତୁଇ ସାକି ଦେଇ ଆଚୁସ୍ । ରମ୍ ଦେସେ ମିସା ତୁଇ ସେନ୍ତାରି କର୍ବାର୍ ଆଚେ ।”
12 When it was day, some of the Judeans banded together and bound themselves under a curse, saying that they would neither eat nor drink until they had killed Paul.
୧୨ଆରକର୍ ଦିନର୍ ସାକାଲେ କେତେଟା ଜିଉଦିମନ୍ ଗଟେକ୍ଟାନେ ରୁଣ୍ଡି ଜଜ୍ନା କଲାଇ । ପାଉଲ୍କେ ନ ମରାଇବା ଜାକ ସେମନ୍ ଅରନ୍ପାନି ନ ଚିଉ ବଲି ସପତ୍ କଲାଇ ।
13 There were more than forty people who had made this conspiracy.
୧୩ଚାଲିସ୍ତେଇଅନି ଅଦିକ୍ ଲକ୍ ଏ ଜଜ୍ନା କଲାଇ ।
14 They came to the chief priests and the elders, and said, “We have bound ourselves under a great curse to taste nothing until we have killed Paul.
୧୪ସେମନ୍ ଜାଇକରି ମୁକିଅ ପୁଜାରିମନ୍କେ ଆରି ପାର୍ଚିନ୍ମନ୍ କେ କଇଲାଇ, “ପାଉଲ୍କେ ନ ମରାଇବା ଜାକ ଅରନ୍ପାନି ନ ଚିଉ ବଲି ଆମେ ସପତ୍ କରିଆଚୁ ।
15 Now therefore, you with the council inform the commanding officer that he should bring him down to you tomorrow, as though you were going to judge his case more exactly. We are ready to kill him before he comes near.”
୧୫ତମେ ଆରି ବଡ୍ସବାର୍ ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ରମିୟ ନେତା ପାଉଲ୍କେ ଇତି ଆରିତରେକ୍ ଆନା ବଲି କବର୍ ପାଟାଆ । ତାର୍ ବିସଇର୍ ଟିକିନିକି ଜାନ୍ବାର୍ ଆଚେ ବଲି ମିଚ୍ କଇକରି ଆନାଆ । ସେ ବଡ୍ ସବାଇ ଆଇବା ବେଲେ ତାକେ ବାଟେ ଜାଗି ମାରି ମରାଇଦେବୁ ।”
16 But Paul’s sister’s son heard they were lying in wait, and he came and entered into the barracks and told Paul.
୧୬ପାଉଲର୍ ବାନ୍ଜା ଏମନର୍ କୁଟ୍ କାତା ସୁନିକରି ଗଡ୍ ବିତ୍ରେ ଗାଲା ଆରି ସବୁ କାତା ପାଉଲ୍କେ କଇଦେଲା ।
17 Paul summoned one of the centurions and said, “Bring this young man to the commanding officer, for he has something to tell him.”
୧୭ପାଉଲ୍ ଗଟେକ୍ ରମିୟ ଅଦିକାରିକେ ଡାକାଇ କରି କଇଲା, “ଏ ଦାଙ୍ଗ୍ଡାକେ ସନିଅମନର୍ ମୁକିଅ ଲଗେ ଦାରି ଜାଅତ୍ । ସେ ତାକେ କାଇଟାକି କଇବାର୍ ଆଚେ ।”
18 So he took him and brought him to the commanding officer and said, “Paul, the prisoner, summoned me and asked me to bring this young man to you. He has something to tell you.”
୧୮ସନିଅ ତାକେ ମୁକିଆର୍ ଲଗେ ନେଇ କଇଲା, “ବନ୍ଦି ରଇବା ପାଉଲ୍ ମକେ ଡାକି ଏ ଦାଙ୍ଗ୍ଡାକେ ତମର୍ ଲଗେ ଆନ୍ବାକେ କଇଲା । ତମ୍କେ ପନି ସେ କାଇଟା କଇବାର୍ ଆଚେ ।”
19 The commanding officer took him by the hand, and going aside, asked him privately, “What is it that you have to tell me?”
୧୯ସନିଅମନର୍ ମୁକିଅ ତାର୍ ଆତ୍ ଦାରିକରି ଗଟେକ୍ ପାଲିକେ ଡାକିନେଲା ଆରି ପାଚାର୍ଲା, “କାଇଟା କଇବାର୍ ଆଚେ କଅ!”
20 He said, “The Judeans have agreed to ask you to bring Paul down to the council tomorrow, as though intending to enquire somewhat more accurately concerning him.
୨୦ଦାଙ୍ଗ୍ଡା କଇଲା, “ପାଉଲର୍ ଟିକିନିକି ବିସଇ ଜାନ୍ବାର୍ ଆଚେ ବଲି ନାଡାଇକରି ତାକେ ଜିଉଦିମନ୍ ବଡ୍ ସବାଇ ନେବାକେ, ତମ୍କେ ଗୁଆରି କର୍ବାଇ ।
21 Therefore don’t yield to them, for more than forty men lie in wait for him, who have bound themselves under a curse to neither eat nor drink until they have killed him. Now they are ready, looking for the promise from you.”
୨୧ମାତର୍ ତମେ ତାକର୍ କାତା ସୁନା ନାଇ । କାଇକେ ବଇଲେ ଚାଲିସ୍ତେଇଅନି ଅଦିକ୍ ଲକ୍ ଲୁଚିକରି ପାଉଲ୍କେ ମରାଇବାକେ ଜାଗିଆଚତ୍ । ‘ତାକେ ନ ମରାଇବା ଜାକ ଅରନ୍ପାନି ନ କାଉଁ’ ବଲି ସପତ୍ କଲାଇ ଆଚତ୍ । ଏବେ ସେମନ୍ ତମର୍ ଆଦେସ୍ ଦେବାଟାକେ ଜାଗିକରି ଆଚତ୍ ।”
22 So the commanding officer let the young man go, charging him, “Tell no one that you have revealed these things to me.”
୨୨ସନିଅମନର୍ ମୁକିଅ କଇଲା, “ତୁଇ ମକେ ଏ କାତା ଜାନାଇ ଆଚି ବଲି କାକେ କଅ ନାଇ ।” ଏନ୍ତାରି କଇକରି ଦାଙ୍ଗ୍ଡାକେ ପାଟାଇ ଦେଲା ।
23 He called to himself two of the centurions, and said, “Prepare two hundred soldiers to go as far as Caesarea, with seventy horsemen and two hundred men armed with spears, at the third hour of the night.”
୨୩ସନିଅମନର୍ ମୁକିଅ ତାର୍ ତଲେ ରଇଲା ଦୁଇଟା ସନିଅକେ ଡାକାଇ କଇଲା, “ଆଜି ରାତି ନଅଟା ବିତ୍ରେ ସିସେରିଆ ଜିବାକେ ଦୁଇସ ସନିଅକେ ତିଆର୍, ଆରି ସତୁରିଟା ଗଡାଇ ଚଗୁମନ୍ ଆରି ଦୁଇ ସଅ ବର୍ଚି ଦାରୁମନ୍କେ ଟିକ୍ କର୍ ।
24 He asked them to provide mounts, that they might set Paul on one, and bring him safely to Felix the governor.
୨୪ପାଉଲ୍ ଜିବା ପାଇ କେତେଟା ଗଡା ଦିଆସ୍ ଆରି ନିକ ସଙ୍ଗେ ତାକେ ସାସନ୍କାରିଆ ପେଲିକ୍ସ୍ ଲଗେ ଦାରି ଜାଆ ।”
25 He wrote a letter like this:
୨୫ସନିଅମନର୍ ମୁକିଅ ପେଲିକ୍ସ୍କେ ଏନ୍ତି ଗଟେକ୍ ଚିଟି ଲେକ୍ଲା,
26 “Claudius Lysias to the most excellent governor Felix: Greetings.
୨୬“ଏ ଚିଟି ମୁଇ କାଲାଡିଆକେ ଲିସିଆର୍ ସବୁର୍ଟାନେଅନି ଡାକ୍ପୁଟା ରଇବା ସନ୍ମାନର୍ ସାସନ୍କାରିଆ ପେଲିକ୍ସ୍କେ ଲେକ୍ଲିନି, ଜୁଆର୍!
27 “This man was seized by the Judeans, and was about to be killed by them when I came with the soldiers and rescued him, having learnt that he was a Roman.
୨୭ଆଗିଆ, ଜିଉଦିମନ୍ ଏ ଲକ୍କେ ଦାରି ତାକେ ମର୍ତେ ମାରିଦେବାକେ ଚେସ୍ଟା କର୍ତେ ରଇଲାଇ । ସେ ଗଟେକ୍ ରମିୟ ଲକ୍ ବଲି ଜାନ୍ଲା ପଚେ, ମୁଇ ତାକେ ମର୍ ସନିଅମନ୍ ସଙ୍ଗେ ତାକେ ରକିଆ କଲି ।
28 Desiring to know the cause why they accused him, I brought him down to their council.
୨୮ସେମନର୍ ବିରଦେ ସେ କାଇ ଦସ୍ କଲା ଆଚେ, ସେଟା ଜାନ୍ବାକେ ତାକେ ମୁଇ ସେମନର୍ ବଡ୍ସବାଇ ଦାରିଗାଲି ।
29 I found him to be accused about questions of their law, but not to be charged with anything worthy of death or of imprisonment.
୨୯ମାତର୍ ସେ ମରନର୍ କି ବନ୍ଦି ଡଣ୍ଡ୍ ପାଇବା ପାରା କାଇମିସା ବୁଲ୍ କାମ୍ କରେ ନାଇ ବଲି ମୁଇ ଜାନିପାର୍ଲି । ତାର୍ ବିରଦେ ଅଇଲା ଦାବା ସବୁ, ତାକର୍ ନିଜର୍ ଦରମ୍ ବିସଇ ।
30 When I was told that the Judeans lay in wait for the man, I sent him to you immediately, charging his accusers also to bring their accusations against him before you. Farewell.”
୩୦ଆରି ତାର୍ ବିରଦେ ଗଟେକ୍ କୁଟ୍ ଜଜ୍ନା ଅଇଲାନି ବଲି କବର୍ ସୁନି, ବେଗି ବେଗି ତମର୍ ଲଗେ ପାଟାଇ ଦେବାକେ ଟିକ୍ କଲି, ତାର୍ ବିରଦେ ରଇଲା ଦାବା, ତର୍ ମୁଆଟେ ଜାନାଇବାକେ ତାର୍ ଦାବାଦାରିମନ୍କେ ମୁଇ କଇଲିଆଚି ।”
31 So the soldiers, carrying out their orders, took Paul and brought him by night to Antipatris.
୩୧ସନିଅମନ୍ ସେ ଆଦେସ୍ ଇସାବେ ପାଉଲ୍କେ ସେ ରାତି ଆନ୍ତିପଟ୍ରିସେ କେଟାଇଦେଲାଇ ।
32 But on the next day they left the horsemen to go with him, and returned to the barracks.
୩୨ତାର୍ ଆର୍କର୍ ଦିନେ ଇଣ୍ଡିଜିବା ସନିଅମନ୍ ଗଡେ ବାଉଡିଗାଲାଇ ଆରି ଗଡାଇ ଜାଉ ସନିଅମନ୍କେ ଜିବାକେ କଇଲାଇ ।
33 When they came to Caesarea and delivered the letter to the governor, they also presented Paul to him.
୩୩ସନିଅମନ୍ ପାଉଲ୍କେ ଦାରି ସିସେରିଆଇ କେଟ୍ଲାଇ । ତେଇ ସନିଅମନର୍ ମୁକିଅର୍ ଚିଟି ସଙ୍ଗେ ପାଉଲ୍କେ ସାସନ୍କାରିଆର୍ ଆତେ ଜିମାଦେଇଦେଲାଇ ।
34 When the governor had read it, he asked what province he was from. When he understood that he was from Cilicia, he said,
୩୪ସାସନ୍କାରିଆ ଚିଟି ପଡି ପାଉଲ୍କେ କନ୍ ରାଇଜେଅନି ଆସିଆଚୁସ୍? ବଲି ପାଚାର୍ଲା । ପାଉଲ୍ ସିଲିସିଆଇଅନି, ବଲି ଜାନ୍ଲା ।
35 “I will hear you fully when your accusers also arrive.” He commanded that he be kept in Herod’s palace.
୩୫ସେ କଇଲା, “ତମର୍ ଦାବାଦାରିମନ୍ ଆସି କେଟ୍ଲା ପଚେ, ମୁଇ ତର୍ କାତା ସୁନ୍ବି ।” ତାର୍ ପଚେ ପାଉଲ୍କେ ଏରଦ୍ ରାଜାର୍ ନଅରେ ବନ୍ଦି କରି ସଙ୍ଗଇବାକେ ଆଦେସ୍ ଦେଲା ।
