2 Thessalonians 1
1 Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, to the assembly of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Yeshua the Messiah:
Paulo, Silvano na Timotheo: Kwa kanisa la Wathesalonike mlio katika Mungu Baba yetu na Bwana Yesu Kristo:
2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Yeshua the Messiah.
Neema na amani itokayo kwa Mungu Baba na Bwana Yesu Kristo iwe nanyi.
3 We are bound to always give thanks to God for you, brothers, even as it is appropriate, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of each and every one of you towards one another abounds,
Ndugu, imetubidi kumshukuru Mungu kwa ajili yenu siku zote, kama ulivyo wajibu wetu, kwa sababu imani yenu inakua zaidi na zaidi na upendo wa kila mmoja wenu alio nao kwa mwenzake unazidi kuongezeka.
4 so that we ourselves boast about you in the assemblies of God for your perseverance and faith in all your persecutions and in the afflictions which you endure.
Ndiyo sababu miongoni mwa makanisa ya Mungu, tunajivuna kuhusu saburi yenu na imani mliyo nayo katika mateso yote na dhiki mnazostahimili.
5 This is an obvious sign of the righteous judgement of God, to the end that you may be counted worthy of God’s Kingdom, for which you also suffer.
Haya yote ni uthibitisho kwamba hukumu ya Mungu ni ya haki, na kwa sababu hiyo ninyi mtahesabiwa kwamba mnastahili kuwa wa Ufalme wa Mungu, mnaoteswa kwa ajili wake.
6 For it is a righteous thing with God to repay affliction to those who afflict you,
Mungu ni mwenye haki: yeye atawalipa mateso wale wawatesao ninyi
7 and to give relief to you who are afflicted with us when the Lord Yeshua is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire,
na kuwapa ninyi mnaoteseka raha pamoja na sisi, wakati Bwana Yesu atakapodhihirishwa kutoka mbinguni katika mwali wa moto pamoja na malaika wake wenye nguvu.
8 punishing those who don’t know God, and to those who don’t obey the Good News of our Lord Yeshua,
Atawaadhibu wale wasiomjua Mungu na ambao hawakuitii Injili ya Bwana wetu Yesu.
9 who will pay the penalty: eternal destruction from the face of the Lord and from the glory of his might, (aiōnios g166)
Wataadhibiwa kwa uangamivu wa milele na kutengwa na uso wa Bwana na utukufu wa uweza wake, (aiōnios g166)
10 when he comes in that day to be glorified in his holy ones and to be admired amongst all those who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed.
siku hiyo atakapokuja kutukuzwa katika watakatifu wake na kustaajabiwa miongoni mwa wote walioamini. Ninyi pia mtakuwa miongoni mwa hawa kwa sababu mliamini ushuhuda wetu kwenu.
11 To this end we also pray always for you that our God may count you worthy of your calling, and fulfil every desire of goodness and work of faith with power,
Kwa sababu hii, tunawaombea ninyi bila kukoma, ili Mungu apate kuwahesabu kuwa mnastahili wito wake na kwamba kwa uwezo wake apate kutimiza kila kusudi lenu jema na kila tendo linaloongozwa na imani yenu.
12 that the name of our Lord Yeshua may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Yeshua the Messiah.
Tunaomba hivi ili Jina la Bwana wetu Yesu lipate kutukuzwa ndani yenu, nanyi ndani yake, kulingana na neema ya Mungu wetu na Bwana Yesu Kristo.
