2 Chronicles 2
1 Now Solomon decided to build a house for the LORD’s name, and a house for his kingdom.
১পরে শলোমন সদাপ্রভুর নামে একটি বাড়ি ও নিজের রাজ্যের জন্য একটি বাড়ি তৈরী করার কথা ঠিক করলেন;
2 Solomon counted out seventy thousand men to bear burdens, eighty thousand men who were stone cutters in the mountains, and three thousand and six hundred to oversee them.
২আর শলোমন ভার বইবার জন্য সত্তর হাজার লোক, পর্বতে কাঠ কাটার জন্য আশী হাজার লোক ও তাদের পরিচালনার জন্য তিন হাজার ছশো প্রধান কর্মচারীদের নিযুক্ত করলেন৷
3 Solomon sent to Huram the king of Tyre, saying, “As you dealt with David my father, and sent him cedars to build him a house in which to dwell, so deal with me.
৩আর শলোমন সোরের হূরম রাজার কাছে লোক পাঠিয়ে বললেন, “আপনি আমার বাবা দায়ূদের সাথে যেরকম ব্যবহার করেছিলেন ও তাঁর বসবাসের জন্য বাড়ি তৈরীর জন্য তাঁর কাছে যেরকম এরস কাঠ পাঠিয়েছিলেন, সেই রকম আমার জন্যও করুন৷
4 Behold, I am about to build a house for the name of the LORD my God, to dedicate it to him, to burn before him incense of sweet spices, for the continual show bread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the Sabbaths, on the new moons, and on the set feasts of the LORD our God. This is an ordinance forever to Israel.
৪দেখুন, আমি নিজের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর নামের উদ্দেশ্যে একটি বাড়ি তৈরী করার পরিকল্পনা নিয়েছি; তাঁর সামনে সুগন্ধি জিনিস জ্বালানোর জন্য, প্রত্যেক দিনের র দর্শন-রুটির জন্য এবং প্রতি সকালে ও সন্ধ্যাবেলায়, বিশ্রামবারে, অমাবস্যায় ও আমাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর সকল পর্বের হোম করার জন্য সেটা পবিত্র করব৷ এগুলি ইস্রায়েলের প্রতিদিনের র কাজ৷
5 “The house which I am building will be great, for our God is greater than all gods.
৫আর আমি যে বাড়ি তৈরী করব, সেটা খুব বড় হবে, কারণ আমাদের ঈশ্বর সকল দেবতার থেকে মহান৷
6 But who is able to build him a house, since heaven and the heaven of heavens can’t contain him? Who am I then, that I should build him a house, except just to burn incense before him?
৬কিন্তু তাঁর জন্য বাড়ি তৈরী করার ক্ষমতা কার আছে? কারণ স্বর্গ এবং স্বর্গের স্বর্গও তাঁকে ধারণ করতে পারে না; তবে আমি কে যে, তাঁর উদ্দেশ্যে গৃহ তৈরী করি? শুধুমাত্র তাঁর সামনে ধূপদান করার জায়গা তৈরী করতে পারি৷
7 “Now therefore send me a man skilful to work in gold, in silver, in bronze, in iron, and in purple, crimson, and blue, and who knows how to engrave engravings, to be with the skilful men who are with me in Judah and in Jerusalem, whom David my father provided.
৭অতএব আমার বাবা দায়ূদের মাধ্যমে নিযুক্ত যে জ্ঞানী লোকেরা যিহূদায় ও যিরূশালেমে আমার কাছে আছে, তাদের সঙ্গে সোনা, রূপা, পিতল, লোহা এবং বেগুনী, গাড় লাল ও নীল রঙের সুতোর কাজ করার জন্য ও সব রকমের ক্ষোদিত কাজে পারদর্শী একজন লোককে পাঠাবেন৷
8 “Send me also cedar trees, cypress trees, and algum trees out of Lebanon, for I know that your servants know how to cut timber in Lebanon. Behold, my servants will be with your servants,
৮আর লিবানোন থেকে এরস কাঠ, দেবদারু কাঠ ও আলগুম কাঠ আমার এখানে পাঠাবেন; কারণ আমি জানি, আপনার দাসেরা লিবানোনে খুব ভালো কাঠ কাটতে পারে; আর দেখুন, আমার দাসেরাও আপনার দাসের সঙ্গে থাকবে৷
9 even to prepare me timber in abundance; for the house which I am about to build will be great and wonderful.
৯আমার জন্য অনেক কাঠ তৈরী করতে হবে, কারণ আমি যে গৃহ তৈরী করব, সেটা বড় মহৎ ও আশ্চর্য্যজনক হবে৷
10 Behold, I will give to your servants, the cutters who cut timber, twenty thousand cors of beaten wheat, twenty thousand baths of barley, twenty thousand baths of wine, and twenty thousand baths of oil.”
১০আর দেখুন, আমি আপনার দাসদেরকে, যে কাঠুরিয়ারা গাছ কাটবে, তাদেরকে কুড়ি হাজার কোর্ পরিমাপের পেষাই করা গম, কুড়ি হাজার কোর্ পরিমাপের যব, কুড়ি হাজার বাৎ আঙ্গুর রস ও কুড়ি হাজার বাৎ তেল দেব৷”
11 Then Huram the king of Tyre answered in writing, which he sent to Solomon, “Because the LORD loves his people, he has made you king over them.”
১১পরে সোরের রাজা হূরম শলোমনের কাছে এই উত্তর লিখে পাঠালেন, “সদাপ্রভু তাঁর প্রজাদেরকে ভালবাসেন, তাই তাদের উপরে আপনাকে রাজা করেছেন৷”
12 Huram continued, “Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, who made heaven and earth, who has given to David the king a wise son, endowed with discretion and understanding, who would build a house for the LORD and a house for his kingdom.
১২হূরম আরও বললেন, “ধন্য সদাপ্রভু ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর, স্বর্গ মর্ত্যের সৃষ্টিকর্ত্তা, যিনি দায়ূদ রাজাকে দূরদর্শী ও বুদ্ধিমান এক জ্ঞানবান ছেলে দিয়েছেন, সেই ছেলে সদাপ্রভুর জন্য এক গৃহ ও নিজের রাজ্যের এক বাড়ি তৈরী করবেন৷
13 Now I have sent a skilful man, endowed with understanding, Huram-abi,
১৩এখন আমি হূরম-আবি নামে একজন জ্ঞানবান ও বুদ্ধিমান লোককে পাঠালাম৷
14 the son of a woman of the daughters of Dan; and his father was a man of Tyre. He is skilful to work in gold, in silver, in bronze, in iron, in stone, in timber, in purple, in blue, in fine linen, and in crimson, also to engrave any kind of engraving and to devise any device, that there may be a place appointed to him with your skilful men, and with the skilful men of my lord David your father.
১৪সে দান বংশের এক স্ত্রীর ছেলে, তার বাবা সোরের লোক; সে সোনা, রূপা, পিতল, লোহা, পাথর ও কাঠ এবং বেগুনী, নীল, মসীনা সুতোর ও গাড় লাল রঙের সুতোর কাজ খুব ভালো করতে পারে৷ আর সে সব রকমের খোদিত কাজ করতে ও সব রকমের নকশার কাজ খুব ভালো তৈরী করতে পারে৷ তাকে আপনার পারদর্শী লোকেদের সঙ্গে এবং আপনার বাবা আমার প্রভু দায়ূদের পারদর্শী লোকেদের সঙ্গে জায়গা দেওয়া হোক৷
15 “Now therefore, the wheat, the barley, the oil, and the wine which my lord has spoken of, let him send to his servants;
১৫অতএব আমার প্রভু যে গম, যব, তেল ও আঙ্গুর রসের কথা বলেছেন, তা নিজের দাসদের কাছে পাঠিয়ে দিন ৷
16 and we will cut wood out of Lebanon, as much as you need. We will bring it to you in rafts by sea to Joppa; then you shall carry it up to Jerusalem.”
১৬আর আপনার যত কাঠের প্রয়োজন হবে, আমরা লিবানোনে তত কাঠ কাটব এবং ভেলায় করে বেঁধে সমুদ্রপথে যাফোতে আপনার জন্য পৌঁছে দেব; পরে আপনি তা যিরূশালেমে তুলে নিয়ে যাবেন৷”
17 Solomon counted all the foreigners who were in Eretz-Israel, after the census with which David his father had counted them; and they found one hundred and fifty-three thousand and six hundred.
১৭আর শলোমন তাঁর বাবা দায়ূদের গণনার পরে ইস্রায়েল দেশে বসবাসকারী সমস্ত লোক গণনা করালেন, তাতে এক লক্ষ তিপ্পান্ন হাজার ছশো লোক পাওয়া গেল৷
18 He set seventy thousand of them to bear burdens, eighty thousand who were stone cutters in the mountains, and three thousand and six hundred overseers to assign the people their work.
১৮তাদের মধ্যে তিনি ভার বইবার জন্য সত্তর হাজার লোক, পর্বতে কাঠ কাটতে আশী হাজার লোক ও লোকদেরকে কাজ করাবার জন্য তিন হাজার ছশো প্রধান কর্মচারীদের নিযুক্ত করলেন৷
