1 Timothy 6
1 Let as many as are bondservants under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and the doctrine not be blasphemed.
Todos os servos que estão debaixo do jugo estimem a seus senhores por dignos de toda a honra, para que o nome de Deus e a doutrina não sejam blasphemados.
2 Those who have believing masters, let them not despise them because they are brothers, but rather let them serve them, because those who partake of the benefit are believing and beloved. Teach and exhort these things.
E os que teem senhores fieis não os desprezem, por serem irmãos; antes os sirvam melhor, porquanto são fieis e amados, como tambem participantes d'este beneficio. Isto ensina e exhorta.
3 If anyone teaches a different doctrine and doesn’t consent to sound words, the words of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness,
Se alguem ensina alguma outra doutrina, e se não conforma com as sãs palavras de nosso Senhor Jesus Christo, e com a doutrina que é conforme a piedade,
4 he is conceited, knowing nothing, but obsessed with arguments, disputes, and word battles, from which come envy, strife, insulting, evil suspicions,
É soberbo, e nada sabe, mas delira ácerca de questões e contendas de palavras, das quaes nascem invejas, porfias, blasphemias, ruins suspeitas,
5 constant friction of people of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. Withdraw yourself from such.
Perversas contendas de homens corruptos de entendimento, e privados da verdade, cuidando que a piedade seja ganho; aparta-te dos taes.
6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
Grande ganho é, porém, a piedade com contentamento.
7 For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can’t carry anything out.
Porque nada trouxemos para este mundo, e manifesto é que nada podemos levar d'elle.
8 But having food and clothing, we will be content with that.
Tendo, porém, sustento, e com que nos cobrirmos, estejamos com isso contentes.
9 But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation, a snare, and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction.
Mas os que querem ser ricos caem em tentação e em laço, e em muitas concupiscencias loucas e nocivas, que submergem os homens na perdição e ruina,
10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
Porque o amor do dinheiro é a raiz de todos os males; o que apetecendo alguns, se desviaram da fé, e se traspassaram a si mesmos com muitas dôres.
11 But you, man of God, flee these things, and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.
Mas tu, ó homem de Deus, foge d'estas coisas, e segue a justiça, a piedade, a fé, a caridade, a paciencia, a mansidão.
12 Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you confessed the good confession in the sight of many witnesses. (aiōnios g166)
Milita a boa milicia da fé, lança mão da vida eterna, para a qual tambem foste chamado, tendo já feito boa confissão diante de muitas testemunhas. (aiōnios g166)
13 I command you before God who gives life to all things, and before Messiah Yeshua who before Pontius Pilate testified the good confession,
Mando-te diante de Deus, que todas as coisas vivifica, e de Christo Jesus, que diante de Poncio Pilatos testificou boa confissão,
14 that you keep the commandment without spot, blameless until the appearing of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah,
Que guardes este mandamento sem macula e reprehensão, até á apparição de nosso Senhor Jesus Christo;
15 which at the right time he will show, who is the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords.
O qual a seu tempo mostrará o bemaventurado, e só poderoso Senhor, Rei dos reis e Senhor dos senhores;
16 He alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen nor can see, to whom be honour and eternal power. Amen. (aiōnios g166)
Aquelle que é só o que tem a immortalidade, e habita na luz inaccessivel; a quem nenhum dos homens viu nem pode vêr: ao qual seja honra e poder sempiterno. Amen. (aiōnios g166)
17 Charge those who are rich in this present age that they not be arrogant, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy; (aiōn g165)
Manda aos ricos d'este mundo que não sejam altivos, nem ponham a esperança na incerteza das riquezas, mas em Deus vivo, que abundantemente nos dá todas as coisas para d'ellas gozarmos: (aiōn g165)
18 that they do good, that they be rich in good works, that they be ready to distribute, willing to share;
Que façam bem, enriqueçam em boas obras, repartam de boamente, e sejam communicaveis;
19 laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold of eternal life.
Que enthesourem para si mesmo um bom fundamento para o futuro, para que possam alcançar a vida eterna. (questioned)
20 Timothy, guard that which is committed to you, turning away from the empty chatter and oppositions of what is falsely called knowledge,
Ó Timotheo, guarda o deposito que te foi confiado, tendo horror aos clamores vãos e profanos e ás opposições da falsamente chamada sciencia;
21 which some profess, and thus have wandered from the faith. Grace be with you. Amen.
A qual professando alguns, se desviaram da fé. A graça seja comtigo. Amen.
