1 Thessalonians 4

1 Finally then, brothers, we beg and exhort you in the Lord Yeshua, that as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, that you abound more and more.

۱ خلاصه‌ای برادران، از شما در عیسی خداوند استدعا و التماس می‌کنیم که چنانکه از ما یافته‌اید که به چه نوع باید رفتار کنیدو خدا را راضی سازید، به همانطور زیادتر ترقی نمایید.

2 For you know what instructions we gave you through the Lord Yeshua.

۲ زیرا می‌دانید چه احکام از جانب عیسی خداوند به شما دادیم.

3 For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality,

۳ زیرا که این است اراده خدا یعنی قدوسیت شما تا از زنا بپرهیزید.

4 that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honour,

۴ تاهرکسی از شما بداند چگونه باید ظرف خویشتن را در قدوسیت و عزت دریابد،

5 not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God,

۵ و نه در هوس شهوت، مثل امت هایی که خدا را نمی شناسند.

6 that no one should take advantage of and wrong a brother or sister in this matter; because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as also we forewarned you and testified.

۶ و تا کسی در این امر دست تطاول یا طمع بر برادر خود دراز نکند، زیرا خداوند از تمامی چنین کارها انتقام کشنده است.

7 For God called us not for uncleanness, but in sanctification.

۷ چنانکه سابق نیز به شما گفته و حکم کرده‌ایم، زیرا خدا ما را به ناپاکی نخوانده است، بلکه به قدوسیت.

8 Therefore he who rejects this doesn’t reject man, but God, who has also given his Holy Spirit to you.

۸ لهذا هرکه حقیر شمارد، انسان را حقیر نمی شمارد، بلکه خدا را که روح قدوس خود را به شما عطا کرده است.

9 But concerning brotherly love, you have no need that one write to you. For you yourselves are taught by God to love one another,

۹ اما در خصوص محبت برادرانه، لازم نیست که به شما بنویسم، زیرا خود شما از خدا آموخته شده‌اید که یکدیگر را محبت نمایید؛

10 for indeed you do it towards all the brothers who are in all Macedonia. But we exhort you, brothers, that you abound more and more;

۱۰ و چنین هم می‌کنید با همه برادرانی که در تمام مکادونیه می‌باشند. لیکن‌ای برادران از شما التماس داریم که زیادتر ترقی کنید.

11 and that you make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, even as we instructed you,

۱۱ و حریص باشید در اینکه آرام شوید و به‌کارهای خود مشغول شده، به‌دستهای خویش کسب نمایید، چنانکه شما راحکم کردیم،

12 that you may walk properly towards those who are outside, and may have need of nothing.

۱۲ تا نزد آنانی که خارج‌اند بطورشایسته رفتار کنید و به هیچ‌چیز محتاج نباشید.

13 But we don’t want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who have fallen asleep, so that you don’t grieve like the rest, who have no hope.

۱۳ اما‌ای برادران نمی خواهیم شما از حالت خوابیدگان بی‌خبر باشید که مبادا مثل دیگران که امید ندارند، محزون شوید.

14 For if we believe that Yeshua died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Yeshua.

۱۴ زیرا اگر باورمی کنیم که عیسی مرد و برخاست، به همینطورنیز خدا آنانی را که در عیسی خوابیده‌اند با وی خواهد آورد.

15 For this we tell you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will in no way precede those who have fallen asleep.

۱۵ زیرا این را به شما از کلام خدامی گوییم که ما که زنده و تا آمدن خداوند باقی باشیم برخوابیدگان سبقت نخواهیم جست.

16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with God’s shofar. The dead in Messiah will rise first,

۱۶ زیرا خود خداوند با صدا و با آواز رئیس فرشتگان و با صور خدا از آسمان نازل خواهدشد و مردگان در مسیح اول خواهند برخاست.

17 then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. So we will be with the Lord forever.

۱۷ آنگاه ما که زنده و باقی باشیم، با ایشان در ابرهاربوده خواهیم شد تا خداوند را در هوا استقبال کنیم و همچنین همیشه با خداوند خواهیم بود.

18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.

۱۸ پس بدین سخنان همدیگر را تسلی دهید.
