1 Thessalonians 3

1 Therefore when we couldn’t stand it any longer, we thought it good to be left behind at Athens alone,

১এজন্য আর ধৈর্য্য ধরতে না পেরে আমরা আথীনী শহর একা থাকাই ভাল বুঝলাম,

2 and sent Timothy, our brother and God’s servant in the Good News of Messiah, to establish you and to comfort you concerning your faith,

২এবং আমাদের ভাই ও খ্রীষ্টের সুসমাচারে ঈশ্বরের দাস যে তীমথিয়, তাঁকে পাঠিয়েছিলাম, যেন তিনি তোমাদেরকে সুস্থির করেন এবং তোমাদের বিশ্বাসের সম্বন্ধে আশ্বাস দেন,

3 that no one would be moved by these afflictions. For you know that we are appointed to this task.

৩যেন এই সব কষ্টে কেউ চঞ্চল না হয়; কারণ তোমরা নিজেরাই জান, আমরা এরই জন্য নিযুক্ত।

4 For most certainly, when we were with you, we told you beforehand that we are to suffer affliction, even as it happened, and you know.

৪এটাই সত্য আমরা যখন তোমাদের কাছে ছিলাম, আমরা তোমাদের আগেই বলেছিলাম যে, আমাদের কষ্ট হবে, আর সেটাই ঘটেছে, তোমরা সেটা জান।

5 For this cause I also, when I couldn’t stand it any longer, sent that I might know your faith, for fear that by any means the tempter had tempted you, and our labour would have been in vain.

৫এ জন্য আমিও আর ধৈর্য্য ধরতে না পেরে তোমাদের বিশ্বাসের তত্ত্ব জানবার জন্য ওকে পাঠিয়েছিলাম, ভেবেছিলাম, পাছে পরীক্ষক কোনও প্রকারে তোমাদের পরীক্ষা করেছে বলে আমাদের পরিশ্রম বৃথা হয়।

6 But Timothy has just now come to us from you, and brought us glad news of your faith and love, and that you have good memories of us always, longing to see us, even as we also long to see you.

৬কিন্তু এখন তীমথিয় তোমাদের কাছ হতে আমাদের কাছে এসে তোমাদের বিশ্বাস ও ভালবাসা সম্পর্কে সুসমাচার আমাদেরকে দিয়েছেন এবং বলেছেন, তোমরা সর্বদা স্নেহ ভাবে আমাদেরকে মনে করছ, যেমন আমরাও তোমাদেরকে দেখতে চাই, তেমনি তোমরাও আমাদেরকে দেখতে ইচ্ছা করছ;

7 For this cause, brothers, we were comforted over you in all our distress and affliction through your faith.

৭এজন্য, ভাইয়েরা, তোমাদের জন্য আমরা সমস্ত বিপদের ও কষ্টের মধ্যে তোমাদের বিশ্বাসের মাধ্যমে উত্সাহ পেলাম;

8 For now we live, if you stand fast in the Lord.

৮কারণ যদি তোমরা প্রভুতে স্থির থাক, তবে এখন আমরা সত্যি বেঁচে আছি।

9 For what thanksgiving can we render again to God for you, for all the joy with which we rejoice for your sakes before our God,

৯বাস্তবিক তোমাদের কারণ আমরা নিজের ঈশ্বরের সাক্ষাৎে যে সব আনন্দে আনন্দ করি, তার বদলে তোমাদের জন্য ঈশ্বরকে কীভাবে ধন্যবাদ দিতে পারি?

10 night and day praying exceedingly that we may see your face and may perfect that which is lacking in your faith?

১০আমরা যেন তোমাদের মুখ দেখতে পাই এবং তোমাদের বিশ্বাসের ত্রুটি গুলি পূর্ণ করতে পারি, এই জন্য রাত দিন অবিরত প্রার্থনা করছি।

11 Now may our God and Father himself, and our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, direct our way to you.

১১আর আমাদের পিতা ঈশ্বর ও আমাদের প্রভু যীশু তোমাদের কাছে আমাদের পথ সুগম করুন।

12 May the Lord make you to increase and abound in love towards one another and towards all men, even as we also do towards you,

১২আর যেমন আমরাও তোমাদের প্রতি উপচে পড়ি, তেমনি প্রভু তোমাদেরকে পরস্পরের ও সবার প্রতি প্রেমে বৃদ্ধি করুন ও উপচে পড়তে দিন;

13 to the end he may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Yeshua with all his holy ones.

১৩ঈশ্বর তোমাদের হৃদয় শক্তিশালী করবেন, যেন নিজের সকল পবিত্রগণ সহ আমাদের প্রভু যীশুর আগমন কালে তিনি আমাদের পিতা ঈশ্বরের সাক্ষাৎে তোমাদের পবিত্রতা ও অনিন্দনীয় করেন।
