< 1 Corinthians 1 >

1 Paul, called to be an emissary of Yeshua the Messiah through the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes,
Khawsa a ngaihnaak amyihna Jesu Khrih a ceityih na ak awm Paul ingkaw ni koeinaa Sosthenas ing,
2 to the assembly of God which is at Corinth—those who are sanctified in Messiah Yeshua, called holy ones, with all who call on the name of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah in every place, both theirs and ours:
Korin khaw awh ak awm Khawsa a thlangboel ingkaw, Jesu Khrih awh ciimcaih sak na awm nawh ak ciimcaih na awm aham ak khy thlangkhqi, hun hoei awh a mingmih ingkaw ningnih a Boei – ningnih a Bawipa Jesu Khrih ang ming ak khy thlangkhqi boeih a venawh:
3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Yeshua the Messiah.
Pa Khawsa ingkaw Bawipa Jesu Khrih a ven awhkaw qeennaak ingkaw ngaihdingnaak awm seh.
4 I always thank my God concerning you for the grace of God which was given you in Messiah Yeshua,
Jesu Khrih ak caming nangmih a venawh a ni peek khqi am qeennaak awh nangmih aham Khawsa venawh zeelnaak awi kqawn poepa nyng.
5 that in everything you were enriched in him, in all speech and all knowledge—
Amah awh ce nangmih taw ik-oeih soepkep awh boei uhyk ti – awi kqawnnaak boeih ingkaw cyihnaak soepkep awh –
6 even as the testimony of Messiah was confirmed in you—
kaimih ing Khrih akawng ka mik kqawn law ce nangmih awh ce cak hawh hy.
7 so that you come behind in no gift, waiting for the revelation of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah,
Cedawngawh nangmih ing ningnih a Bawipa Jesu Khrih ang dangnaak nyn ce naming lamtoen awh myihla zoepeek kutdo ik-oeih voet hlauhnaak qoe qoe am ta voel uhyk ti.
8 who will also confirm you until the end, blameless in the day of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah.
Ningmih a Bawipa Jesu Khrih a kawnyn awh nangmih taw coet ak kap na am nami awmnaak aham, amah ing a dyt dyna thaawmnaak ni pek khqi bit kaw.
9 God is faithful, through whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Yeshua the Messiah our Lord.
Khawsa capa, ni Bawipa Jesu Khrih khawsaknaak haih a nik khy khqi taw ypawm hy.
10 Now I beg you, brothers, through the name of our Lord, Yeshua the Messiah, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions amongst you, but that you be perfected together in the same mind and in the same judgement.
Koeinaakhqi, nangmih anglakawh phekbonaak ama awmnaak aham pynoet ingkaw pynoet kawpoek kutoet na ta unawh kawlung pynoet poeknaak pynoet ing nami cuui aham ni Bawipa Jesu Khrih ang ming ing qeennaak ni thoeh lawk khqi nyng.
11 For it has been reported to me concerning you, my brothers, by those who are from Chloe’s household, that there are contentions amongst you.
Koeinaakhqi, nangmih anglakawh oelh qunaak awm hy, tinawh Khalo ipkhui khaw awhkaw thlangkhqi ing kqawn law uhy.
12 Now I mean this, that each one of you says, “I follow Paul,” “I follow Apollos,” “I follow Kefa,” and, “I follow Messiah.”
Kak kqawn ngaihnaak taw veni: Nangmih anglakawh thlangvang ing, “Kai taw Paul a bawng ni,” ti uhyk ti, thlangvang bai ing, “Kai taw Apollo a bawng ni,” ti uhyk ti, ak chang khqi bai ing, “Kai taw Cepha a bawng ni,” ti uhyk ti, a chang bai ing, “Kai taw Khrih a bawng ni,” ti uhyk ti.
13 Is Messiah divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you immersed into the name of Paul?
Khrih ve phek ang bo qunawh nu? Paul aw nangmih aham thinglam awh a mi tai? Paul ang ming awh aw baptisma nami huh?
14 I thank God that I immersed none of you except Crispus and Gaius,
Krispa ingkaw Gaia doeng am taw u awm baptisma am ka ni peek khqi a dawngawh zeel nyng.
15 so that no one should say that I had immersed you into my own name.
Cedawngawh kai ang ming awh baptisma ak hu u awm am awm hy.
16 (I also immersed the household of Stephanas; besides them, I don’t know whether I immersed any other.)
(Oeih, Stefen ipkhui khaw ce baptisma pe bai nyng; cekcoengawh, thlak chang baptisma ka peek ak awm hy voei nu, am sim nyng.)
17 For Messiah sent me not to immerse, but to proclaim the Good News—not in wisdom of words, so that the cross of Messiah wouldn’t be made void.
Ikawtih Khrih ing baptisma peek aham amni tyi hy, awithang leek ak khypyi aham ni a ni tyih – thlanghqing a cyihnaak awi ing amni, cawh mantaw Khrih thinglam sai thainaak ce a hqawng na awm hawh kaw.
18 For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are dying, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
Thinglam awithang taw ak qeeng huikhqi aham qawnaak na awm nawh, hulna ak awm hui ningnihkhqi aham taw Khawsa thaawmnaak na awm hy.
19 For it is written, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise. I will bring the discernment of the discerning to nothing.”
“Thlakcyikhqi a cyihnaak ce hqe kawng nyng saw; kawpoek ak cyikhqi ak poeknaak ce hoet kawng nyng,” tinawh qee hyt awm hawh hy.
20 Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Hasn’t God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
21 For seeing that in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom didn’t know God, it was God’s good pleasure through the foolishness of the proclaiming to save those who believe.
Khawsa a cyihnaak ve khawmdek cyihnaak ing ama pha dawngawh amah ce am sim thai hy, qawnaak awi khypyinaak ak caming ak cangnaak thlangkhqi hul na a awmnaak awh Khawsa taw ak kaw zeel hy.
22 For Jews ask for signs, Greeks seek after wisdom,
Judakhqi ing kawpoek kyi hatnaak ce ngaih uhy, Greekkhqi ing cyihnaak,
23 but we proclaim Messiah crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Greeks,
cehlai ningnih ingtaw Khrih thinglam awi ce nik khypyi uhy: ve ak awi ve Judakhqi ang bahnaak na awm nawh Gentelkhqi a qawnaak na awm hy,
24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Messiah is the power of God and the wisdom of God;
cehlai Khawsa ing ak khykhqi aham taw, Juda awm Greek awm, Khrih taw Khawsa ak thaawmnaak na a awm dawngawh, Khawsa a cyihnaak na awm hy.
25 because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
Ikawtih Khawsa a qawnaak taw thlanghqing a cyihnaak anglakawh cyi bet nawh, Khawsa ak tha ama awmnaak taw thlanghqing ak tha awmnaak anglakawh ak tha awm bet hy.
26 For you see your calling, brothers, that not many are wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, and not many noble;
Koeinaakhqi, nangmih khy na nami awm awh ikawmyihna nami awm tice poek lah uh. Thlanghqing a huh awhtaw nangmih ak khuiawh thlakcyi khawzah am awm uhyk ti; thlang ak khanawh ak awm khawzah am awm uhyk ti; qypawm ipkhui awh ak awm thlang khawzah am awm bai uhyk ti.
27 but God chose the foolish things of the world that he might put to shame those who are wise. God chose the weak things of the world that he might put to shame the things that are strong.
Cehlai thlakcyi chah sak aham Khawsa ing khawmdek awh ak qawkhqi ce tyk nawh; tha ak awmkhqi chah sak aham khawmdek awh tha amak awmkhqi ce tyk hy.
28 God chose the lowly things of the world, and the things that are despised, and the things that don’t exist, that he might bring to nothing the things that exist,
Ve khawmdek awh ak kaina ak awmkhqi ingkaw thlang ing a thenaak khqi – ik-oeih ak awmkhqi ce hqe aham –
29 that no flesh should boast before God.
u awm a haiawh amang oek qu aham amak awm ik-oeihkhqi ce tyk hy.
30 Because of him, you are in Messiah Yeshua, who was made to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption,
Anih ak caming nangmih taw Jesu Khrih ak khuiawh awm uhyk ti, anih ce ningnih aham Khawsa ven awhkaw cyihnaak na awm hy – cetaw ningnih aham dyngnaak, ciimnaak ingkaw hulnaak na awm hy.
31 that, as it is written, “He who boasts, let him boast in the Lord.”
Cedawngawh, U awm ak oek qu ingtaw Bawipa awh oek qu seh,” tinawh a qee awm hawh hy.
