< 1 Corinthians 8 >

1 Now concerning things sacrificed to idols: We know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.
Hinu tilolayi vyakulya vyeviwusiwi ndava ya kutetela chimong'omong'o. Timanyili kuvya, tete tavoha tivii na luhala, nambu luhala ulo gakuvakita vandu vamekayi, nambu uganu ukumjenga.
2 But if anyone thinks that he knows anything, he doesn’t yet know as he ought to know.
Ngati mundu iholalela kuvya amanyili chindu, chakaka angamanya chindu chochoha chechikumgana kumanya.
3 But anyone who loves God is known by him.
Nambu mwammanyili Chapanga mwenuyo amanyikini na Chapanga.
4 Therefore concerning the eating of things sacrificed to idols, we know that no idol is anything in the world, and that there is no other God but one.
Ndi, kuvala vyakulya vyevihuwusiwi kwa vimong'omong'o, timanyili kuvya chindu lepi pamulima, timanyili kuvya Chapanga ndi mmonga.
5 For though there are things that are called “gods”, whether in the heavens or on earth—as there are many “gods” and many “lords”—
Hati ngati kuna vindu vyamahele vandu vakuvikemela vichapanga pamulima amala kunani kwa Chapanga, na hati ngati kuna vichapanga na vabambu vamahele,
6 yet to us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for him; and one Lord, Yeshua the Messiah, through whom are all things, and we live through him.
7 However, that knowledge isn’t in all men. But some, with consciousness of an idol until now, eat as of a thing sacrificed to an idol, and their conscience, being weak, is defiled.
Nambu lepi vandu voha vevamanyili mambu ago. Muni vandu vangi vayovalili kutetela vimong'omong'o, vandu venavo pevilya vyakulya viwona ngati viwusiwi kwa vimong'omong'o. Na muni mitima yavi yilendili vikemewa vahakili.
8 But food will not commend us to God. For neither, if we don’t eat are we the worse, nor if we eat are we the better.
Nambu chakulya nakutipeleka papipi na Chapanga. Tikalekayi kulya tipungukiwa lepi chindu, tikalyayi nakuyonjokeswa chindu.
9 But be careful that by no means does this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to the weak.
Nambu, mujiyangalila uwaka winu ukoto kuvayoka vana sadika yidebe vayingila mukubuda.
10 For if a man sees you who have knowledge sitting in an idol’s temple, won’t his conscience, if he is weak, be emboldened to eat things sacrificed to idols?
Muni mwangakangamala mtima, akakulola veve mweuvi na umanya wilya vyakulya munyumba ya kuyupila vimong'omong'o, wu, na mwene nakulya vyakulya vyeviwusiwi kwa vimong'omong'o?
11 And through your knowledge, he who is weak perishes, the brother for whose sake Messiah died.
Hinu, mlongo waku mwenuy mweavi na sadika yangali makakala, yati iyagila kwa ndava ya veve, ndi Kilisitu afwili kwa ndava yaki
12 Thus, sinning against the brothers, and wounding their conscience when it is weak, you sin against Messiah.
Ngati mvabudisi valongo vinu, na kuvinisa mitima yavi muvya mumbudili Kilisitu.
13 Therefore, if food causes my brother to stumble, I will eat no meat forever more, that I don’t cause my brother to stumble. (aiōn g165)
Hinu, ngati chakulya chikumgwisa mlongo vangu, katu nilya lepi nyama, nikotoka kumgwisa mlongo vangu mukumbudila Chapanga. (aiōn g165)
