< 1 Corinthians 13 >

1 If I speak with the languages of men and of angels, but don’t have love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
Bí èmi tilẹ̀ lè sọ oríṣìíríṣìí èdè tí ènìyàn àti ti angẹli, tí n kò bá sì ní ìfẹ́, mo kàn ń pariwo bí ago lásán ni tàbí bí i kimbali olóhùn gooro.
2 If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but don’t have love, I am nothing.
Bí mo bá ní ẹ̀bùn ìsọtẹ́lẹ̀, tí mo sì ní òye gbogbo ohun ìjìnlẹ̀, àti gbogbo ìmọ̀, bí mo sì ni gbogbo ìgbàgbọ́ tó bẹ́ẹ̀ tí mo lè ṣí àwọn òkè ńlá nídìí, tí èmi kò sì ní ìfẹ́, èmi kò jẹ nǹkan kan.
3 If I give away all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burnt, but don’t have love, it profits me nothing.
Bí mo bá fi gbogbo nǹkan tí mo ní tọrẹ fún àwọn aláìní, tí mo sì fi ara mi fún ni láti sùn ṣùgbọ́n tí n kò ní ìfẹ́, kò ní èrè kan fún mi.
4 Love is patient and is kind. Love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud,
Ìfẹ́ a máa mú sùúrù, ìfẹ́ a máa ṣeun, ìfẹ́ kì í ṣe ìlara, ìfẹ́ kì í fẹ̀, ìfẹ́ kì í sọ̀rọ̀ ìgbéraga.
5 doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil;
Ìfẹ́ kì í hùwà àìtọ́, kì í wá ohun ara rẹ̀ nìkan. Ìfẹ́ kì í bínú fùfù, ìfẹ́ kì í fi búburú ọmọ ẹnìkejì sínú.
6 doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;
Inú ìfẹ́ kì í dùn sí àìṣòótọ́. Ṣùgbọ́n inú rẹ̀ a máa dùn nígbà gbogbo.
7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.
A máa faradà ohun gbogbo sí òtítọ́, a máa gba ohun gbogbo gbọ́, a máa retí ohun gbogbo, a máa fàyàrán ohun gbogbo.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will be done away with. Where there are various languages, they will cease. Where there is knowledge, it will be done away with.
Ìfẹ́ kì í kùnà láé, kì í sì í yẹ̀ ṣùgbọ́n bí ó bá ṣe ìsọtẹ́lẹ̀ ni, wọn yóò dópin, bí ó bá ṣe ẹ̀bùn ahọ́n ni, wọn yóò dákẹ́, bí ó bá ṣe pé ìmọ̀ ni yóò di asán.
9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part;
Nítorí àwa mọ̀ ní apá kan, àwa sì sọtẹ́lẹ̀ ní apá kan.
10 but when that which is complete has come, then that which is partial will be done away with.
Ṣùgbọ́n nígbà tí èyí ti o pé bá dé, èyí tí í ṣe tí apá kan yóò dópin.
11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I felt as a child, I thought as a child. Now that I have become a man, I have put away childish things.
Nígbà tí mó wà ni èwe, èmi á máa sọ̀rọ̀ bi èwe, èmi a máa mòye bí èwe, èmi a máa gbèrò bí èwe. Ṣùgbọ́n nígbà tí mó di ọkùnrin tán, mo fi ìwà èwe sílẹ̀.
12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, even as I was also fully known.
Nítorí pé nísinsin yìí àwa ń ríran bàìbàì nínú dígí; nígbà náà a ó rí í lójúkojú. Nísinsin yìí mò mọ̀ pé ní apá kan; nígbà náà èmi o mọ̀ lẹ́kùnrẹ́rẹ́, kódà bí mo ti dí mí mọ̀ pẹ̀lú.
13 But now faith, hope, and love remain—these three. The greatest of these is love.
Ǹjẹ́ nísinsin yìí àwọn nǹkan mẹ́ta wọ̀nyí dúró: ìgbàgbọ́, ìrètí, àti ìfẹ́. Ṣùgbọ́n èyí tí o tóbi jù nínú wọn ni ìfẹ́.
