< 1 Corinthians 1 >

1 Paul, called to be an emissary of Yeshua the Messiah through the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes,
Ma sel Paul, su tuh pangonyuk ke lungse lun God in sie mwet sap lun Christ Jesus, ac oayapa sel Sosthenes, mwet lulalfongi wiasr —
2 to the assembly of God which is at Corinth—those who are sanctified in Messiah Yeshua, called holy ones, with all who call on the name of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah in every place, both theirs and ours:
Nu sin church lun God in acn Corinth, nu selos nukewa su pangonyuk tuh elos in mwet mutal lun God, su ma lal ke elos kupasryang nu sin Christ Jesus, weang mwet yen nukewa su alu nu sin Leum lasr Jesus Christ, su Leum lalos ac oayapa lasr:
3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Yeshua the Messiah.
Lungkulang ac misla nu suwos sin God Papa tumasr ac Leum Jesus Christ.
4 I always thank my God concerning you for the grace of God which was given you in Messiah Yeshua,
Nga sang kulo nu sin God luk keiwos pacl nukewa, ke sripen kulang su El asot nu suwos ke Christ Jesus.
5 that in everything you were enriched in him, in all speech and all knowledge—
Tuh ke kowos kupasryang nu sin Christ kowos kasrupi in ma nukewa, ke kas in luti nukewa ac etauk nukewa.
6 even as the testimony of Messiah was confirmed in you—
Mwe fahkak ke Christ oakwuki ku in kowos
7 so that you come behind in no gift, waiting for the revelation of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah,
pwanang kowos tia oalla liki in eis kutena mwe insewowo sin God ke kowos tupan sikme lun Leum lasr Jesus Christ.
8 who will also confirm you until the end, blameless in the day of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah.
God El fah akkeye kowos in tu ku nu ke safla, tuh in wangin mwatuwos ke Len lun Leum lasr Jesus Christ.
9 God is faithful, through whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Yeshua the Messiah our Lord.
God El oaru, ac fal in lulalfongiyuk El, su pangon kowos in sie sin sie yurin Wen natul, Leum lasr Jesus Christ.
10 Now I beg you, brothers, through the name of our Lord, Yeshua the Messiah, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions amongst you, but that you be perfected together in the same mind and in the same judgement.
Ke inen Leum lasr Jesus Christ, nga kwafe nu suwos nukewa, mwet lili ac lulu, tuh kowos in insese ke ma kowos fahk, tuh in fah wangin srisrielik inmasrlowos. Kowos nukewa in tukenina nunak sefanna ac pwapa sefanna.
11 For it has been reported to me concerning you, my brothers, by those who are from Chloe’s household, that there are contentions amongst you.
Mwet lili ac lulu, kutu mwet in sou lal Chloe elos tuku fahk nu sik lah oasr akukuin inmasrlowos.
12 Now I mean this, that each one of you says, “I follow Paul,” “I follow Apollos,” “I follow Kefa,” and, “I follow Messiah.”
Kalem sik lah kas lowos uh tia oana sie. Sie fahk mu, “Nga ma lal Paul”, sie fahk mu, “Nga ma lal Apollos”, ac sie fahk mu, “Nga ma lal Peter”, ac sie fahk mu, “Nga ma lun Christ.”
13 Is Messiah divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you immersed into the name of Paul?
Ya Christ el kitakatelik nu ke u pus? Ya Paul pa misa fin sakseng keiwos? Ya kowos baptaisla tuh kowos in mwet tuma lutlut lal Paul?
14 I thank God that I immersed none of you except Crispus and Gaius,
Nga kulo nu sin God lah nga tuh tia baptaisi kutena suwos, sayal Crispus ac Gaius.
15 so that no one should say that I had immersed you into my own name.
Ke ma inge, wangin kutena suwos ku in fahk mu kowos baptaisla inek.
16 (I also immersed the household of Stephanas; besides them, I don’t know whether I immersed any other.)
(O nga esamak lah nga baptaisella pac Stephanas ac sou lal; tusruktu nga tia esam lah oasr pac mwet saya nga baptaisela.)
17 For Messiah sent me not to immerse, but to proclaim the Good News—not in wisdom of words, so that the cross of Messiah wouldn’t be made void.
Christ el tia supweyu ngan baptaisi mwet. El supweyu in fahkak ke Pweng Wo, ac fahkak luk in tia orekmakin kas lalmwetmet lun mwet, tuh ku lun misa lun Christ fin sakseng in tia pilesreyuk.
18 For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are dying, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
Tuh pweng ke misa lun Christ fin sakseng, ma lalfon nu selos su fahsr ke inkanek nu ke tuhlac; a nu sesr su fahsr ke inkanek in molela, pweng se inge ku lun God.
19 For it is written, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise. I will bring the discernment of the discerning to nothing.”
Tuh Ma Simusla uh fahk, “Nga fah kunausla etauk lun mwet lalmwetmet Ac akfohsyauk nunak lun mwet yohk etu la.”
20 Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Hasn’t God made foolish the wisdom of this world? (aiōn g165)
Ke ouinge, mea sripen mwet lalmwetmet? Ku mwet sasla ke ma sap? Ku mwet pah in sramsram lun faclu? God El akkalemye tari lah lalmwetmet lun faclu ma lalfon. (aiōn g165)
21 For seeing that in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom didn’t know God, it was God’s good pleasure through the foolishness of the proclaiming to save those who believe.
Tuh ke lalmwetmet lun God, El oru tuh mwet uh in tia ku in etal ke lalmwetmet lalos sifacna. A El sulela in molela mwet su lulalfongi ke kas in luti lasr ma pangpang “kas lalfon.”
22 For Jews ask for signs, Greeks seek after wisdom,
Mwet Jew elos kena liye mwenmen, ac mwet sayen mwet Jew elos suk ke lalmwetmet.
23 but we proclaim Messiah crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Greeks,
A funu kut, kut fahkak Christ su sripsripyak fin sakseng, sie pweng su mwe srungayuk nu sin mwet Jew, ac kas lalfon nu sin mwet sayen mwet Jew.
24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Messiah is the power of God and the wisdom of God;
Tusruktu nu selos su pangonyuk tari sin God — mwet Jew oayapa mwet sayen mwet Jew — pweng se inge pa Christ, su fahkak ku lun God ac lalmwetmet lun God.
25 because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
Tuh ma su oana mwe lalfon lun God, lalmwetmet liki lalmwetmet lun mwet uh; ac ma su oana munas lun God, ku liki ku lun mwet uh.
26 For you see your calling, brothers, that not many are wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, and not many noble;
Inge, mwet lili luk, kowos in esam ouiyowos meet liki pacl se God El pangon kowos. Ke liye lun mwet uh, pu na suwos lalmwetmet, ku oasr ku la, ku oaoa in mwet fulat.
27 but God chose the foolish things of the world that he might put to shame those who are wise. God chose the weak things of the world that he might put to shame the things that are strong.
God El tuh sulela ma faclu pangon mu lalfon in akmwekinye mwet lalmwetmet, ac El sulela ma su faclu pangon mu munas in akmwekinye mwet ku.
28 God chose the lowly things of the world, and the things that are despised, and the things that don’t exist, that he might bring to nothing the things that exist,
El sulela ma faclu pilesru ac srunga ac pangon mu wangin sripa, in kunausla ma faclu nunku mu yohk sripa.
29 that no flesh should boast before God.
Kalmen ma inge pa wangin mwet ku in konkin ye mutun God.
30 Because of him, you are in Messiah Yeshua, who was made to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption,
Tusruktu God El oru tuh kowos in kupasryang nu sin Christ Jesus, ac tuh Christ elan ase lalmwetmet nu sesr. Ke Christ kut aksuwosyeyuk ye mutun God; kut ekla mwet mutal lun God ac aksukosokyeyuk kut.
31 that, as it is written, “He who boasts, let him boast in the Lord.”
Ouinge, oana Ma Simusla uh fahk, “Kutena mwet su kena konkin, lela elan konkin ke ma Leum El oru.”
