< 1 Chronicles 12 >

1 Now these are those who came to David to Ziklag while he was a fugitive from Saul the son of Kish. They were amongst the mighty men, his helpers in war.
ダビデがキシの子サウルの故によりて尚チクラグに閉こもり居ける時に彼處にゆきてダビデに就し者は左のごとしその人々は勇士の中にしてダビデを助けて戰ひたる者
2 They were armed with bows, and could use both the right hand and the left in slinging stones and in shooting arrows from the bow. They were of Saul’s relatives of the tribe of Benjamin.
能く弓を彎き右左の手を用ゐて善く石を投げ弓矢を發つ者なりしが倶にベニヤミン人にしてサウルの宗族たり
3 The chief was Ahiezer, then Joash, the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite; Jeziel and Pelet, the sons of Azmaveth; Beracah; Jehu the Anathothite;
首はアヒエゼル次はヨアシ是らはギベア人シマアの子等なり又ヱジエルおよびペレテ是らはアズマウラの子等なり又ベラカおよびアナトテ人ヱヒウ
4 Ishmaiah the Gibeonite, a mighty man amongst the thirty and a leader of the thirty; Jeremiah; Jahaziel; Yochanan; Jozabad the Gederathite;
またギベオン人イシマヤ彼は三十人の中の勇士にして三十人の首なり又エレミヤ、ヤハジエル、ヨハナン、ゲデラ人ヨザバデ
5 Eluzai; Jerimoth; Bealiah; Shemariah; Shephatiah the Haruphite;
エルザイ、エリモテ、ベアリヤ、シマリヤ、ハリフ人シバテヤ
6 Elkanah, Isshiah, Azarel, Joezer, and Jashobeam, the Korahites;
エルカナ、エシヤ、アザリエル、ヨエゼル、ヤシヨベアム是等はコラ人なり
7 and Joelah and Zebadiah, the sons of Jeroham of Gedor.
またゲドルのエロハムの子等たるヨエラおよひゼバデヤ
8 Some Gadites joined David in the stronghold in the wilderness, mighty men of valour, men trained for war, who could handle shield and spear; whose faces were like the faces of lions, and they were as swift as the gazelles on the mountains:
ガド人の中より曠野の砦に脱きたりてダビデに歸せし者あり是みな大勇士にして善戰かふ軍人能く楯と戈とをつかふ者にてその面は獅子の面のごとくその捷きことは山にをる鹿のごとくなりき
9 Ezer the chief, Obadiah the second, Eliab the third,
その首はエゼルその二はオバデヤその三はエリアブ
10 Mishmannah the fourth, Jeremiah the fifth,
その四はミシマンナその五はヱレミヤ
11 Attai the sixth, Eliel the seventh,
その六はアツタイその六はエリエル
12 Yochanan the eighth, Elzabad the ninth,
その八はヨハナンその九はエルザバデ
13 Jeremiah the tenth, and Machbannai the eleventh.
その十はヱレミヤその十一はマクバナイ
14 These of the sons of Gad were captains of the army. He who was least was equal to one hundred, and the greatest to one thousand.
是等はガドの人々にして軍旅の長たりそ最も小き者は百人に當りその最も大なる者は千人に當れり
15 These are those who went over the Jordan in the first month, when it had overflowed all its banks; and they put to flight all who lived in the valleys, both towards the east and towards the west.
正月ヨルダンその全岸に溢れたる時に是らの者濟りゆきて谷々に居る者をことごとく東西に打奔らせたり
16 Some of the children of Benjamin and Judah came to the stronghold to David.
茲にベニヤミンとユダの子孫の中の人々砦に來りてダビデに就きけるに
17 David went out to meet them, and answered them, “If you have come peaceably to me to help me, my heart will be united with you; but if you have come to betray me to my adversaries, since there is no wrong in my hands, may the God of our fathers see this and rebuke it.”
ダビデこれを出むかへ應へて之に言けるは汝ら厚志をもて我を助けんとて來れるならば我心なんぢらと相結ばん然ど汝らもし我手に惡きこと有ざるに我を欺きて敵に付さんとせば我らの先祖の神ねがはくは之を監みて責たまへと
18 Then the Spirit came on Amasai, who was chief of the thirty, and he said, “We are yours, David, and on your side, you son of Jesse. Peace, peace be to you, and peace be to your helpers; for your God helps you.” Then David received them and made them captains of the band.
時に聖霊三十人の長アマサイに臨みて彼すなはち言けるはダビデよ我らは汝に屬すヱツサイの子よ我らは汝を助けん願くは平安あれ汝にも平安あれ汝を助くる者にも平安あれ汝の神汝を助けたまふなりと是においてダビデ彼らを接いれて軍旅の長となせり
19 Some of Manasseh also joined David when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle, but they didn’t help them, for the lords of the Philistines sent him away after consultation, saying, “He will desert to his master Saul to the jeopardy of our heads.”
前にダビデ、ペリシテ人とともにサウルと戰はんとて攻きたれる時マナセ人數人ダビデに屬り但しダビデ等は遂にペリシテ人を助けざりき其はペリシテ人の君等あひ謀り彼は我らの首級をもてその主君サウルに歸らんと言て彼を去しめたればなり
20 As he went to Ziklag, some from Manasseh joined him: Adnah, Jozabad, Jediael, Michael, Jozabad, Elihu, and Zillethai, captains of thousands who were of Manasseh.
斯てダビデ、チクラグに往る時マナセ人アデナ、ヨザバデ、ヱデアエル、ミカエル、ヨザバデ、エリウ、ヂルタイこれに歸せり皆マナセ人の千人の長たる者なりき
21 They helped David against the band of raiders, for they were all mighty men of valour and were captains in the army.
彼等ダビデを助けて敵軍に當れり彼らは皆大勇士にして軍旅の長となれり
22 For from day to day men came to David to help him, until there was a great army, like God’s army.
當時ダビデに歸して之を助くる者日々に加はりて終に大軍となり神の軍旅のごとくなれり
23 These are the numbers of the heads of those who were armed for war, who came to David to Hebron to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the LORD’s word.
戰爭のために身をよろひヘブロンに來りてダビデに就きヱホバの言のごとくサウルの國をダビデに歸せしめんとしたる武士の數は左のごとし
24 The children of Judah who bore shield and spear were six thousand and eight hundred, armed for war.
ユダの子孫にして楯と戈とを執り戰爭のために身をよろへる者は六千八百人
25 Of the children of Simeon, mighty men of valour for the war: seven thousand and one hundred.
シメオンの子孫にして善戰かふ大勇士は七千一百人
26 Of the children of Levi: four thousand and six hundred.
レビの子孫たる者は四千六百人
27 Jehoiada was the leader of the household of Aaron; and with him were three thousand and seven hundred,
ヱホヤダ、アロン人を率ゐたり之に屬する者は三千七百人
28 and Zadok, a young man mighty of valour, and of his father’s house twenty-two captains.
またザドクといふ年若き勇士ありきその宗家の長たる者二十二人ありたり
29 Of the children of Benjamin, Saul’s relatives: three thousand, for until then, the greatest part of them had kept their allegiance to Saul’s house.
サウルの宗族ベニヤミンの子孫たる者は三千人是ベニヤミン人は多くサウルの家に尚も忠義を盡しゐたればなり
30 Of the children of Ephraim: twenty thousand and eight hundred, mighty men of valour, famous men in their fathers’ houses.
エフライムの子孫たる者は二萬八百人皆大勇士にしてその宗家の名ある人々たり
31 Of the half-tribe of Manasseh: eighteen thousand, who were mentioned by name, to come and make David king.
マナセの半支派の者は一萬八千人皆名を録されたる者なるが來りてダビデを王にたてんとす
32 Of the children of Issachar, men who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, their heads were two hundred; and all their brothers were at their command.
イツサカルの子孫たる者の中より善く時勢に通じイスラエルの爲べきことを知る者きたれりその首二百人ありその兄弟等は皆これが指揮にしたがへり
33 Of Zebulun, such as were able to go out in the army, who could set the battle in array with all kinds of instruments of war: fifty thousand who could command and were not of double heart.
ゼブルンの者は五萬人皆よく身をよろひ各種の武器をもて善く戰闘をなし一心に行伍を守る者なりき
34 Of Naphtali: one thousand captains, and with them with shield and spear thirty-seven thousand.
ナフタリの者は將たる者千人楯と戈とを執てこれに從ふ者三萬七千人
35 Of the Danites who could set the battle in array: twenty-eight thousand and six hundred.
ダン人は二萬八千六百人にして皆そなへを守る者なりき
36 Of Asher, such as were able to go out in the army, who could set the battle in array: forty thousand.
アセルの者は四萬人にして皆よく陣にのぞみ且行伍を守る者なりき
37 On the other side of the Jordan, of the Reubenites, the Gadites, and of the half-tribe of Manasseh, with all kinds of instruments of war for the battle: one hundred and twenty thousand.
またヨルダンの彼旁なるルベン人とガド人とマナセの半支派の者は十二萬人みな各種の武器を執て戰爭にいづるに勝る者なりき
38 All these were men of war who could order the battle array, and came with a perfect heart to Hebron to make David king over all Israel; and all the rest also of Israel were of one heart to make David king.
是等の行伍を守る軍人等眞實の心を懐きてヘブロンに來りダビデをもてイスラエル全國の王となさんとせり其餘のイスラエル人もまた心を一にしてダビデを王となさんとせり
39 They were there with David three days, eating and drinking; for their brothers had supplied provisions for them.
彼ら彼處に三日をりてダビデとともに食ひかつ飮り其はその兄弟等これがために備をなしたればなり
40 Moreover those who were near to them, as far as Issachar, Zebulun, and Naphtali, brought bread on donkeys, on camels, on mules, and on oxen: supplies of flour, cakes of figs, clusters of raisins, wine, oil, cattle, and sheep in abundance; for there was joy in Israel.
また近處の者よりイツサカル、ゼブルンおよびナフタリの者に至るまでパンと麥粉の食物と乾無花果と乾葡萄と酒と油等を驢馬駱駝牛馬に載きたりかつ牛羊を多く携へいたれり是イスラエルみな喜びたればなり
