Revelation 8
1 When he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.
Quando [aquele que parece um ]cordeiro quebrou o sétimo lacre, houve no céu um breve silêncio/durante uma meia hora, mais ou menos.
2 I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them.
Vi os sete anjos que ficam diante de Deus. Foi dada {[Deus/Um anjo ]deu} a cada um deles uma trombeta.
3 Another angel came and stood over the altar, having a golden censer. Much incense was given to him, that he should add it to the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar which was before the throne.
Outro anjo que sustentava um — incensário de ouro/receptáculo para queimar incenso— chegou e ficou ao pé do altar. Foi dado {[Um anjo ]deu} a ele muitíssimo incenso, para que o pudesse oferecer, junto com as orações de todo o povo de Deus, sobre o altar de ouro que fica diante do trono [de Deus]. [Então ele queimou este incenso no altar. ]
4 The smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, went up before God out of the angel’s hand.
Do [receptáculo na mão ]do anjo, a fumaça do incenso—misturada com as orações do povo de Deus—subiu para Deus.
5 The angel took the censer, and he filled it with the fire of the altar, then threw it on the earth. Thunders, sounds, lightnings, and an earthquake followed.
[Em resposta, ]o anjo pegou o incensário e o encheu de [brasas de ]fogo do altar. Ele jogou [o conteúdo do ]incensário [MTY] sobre a terra. O trovão rugia e retumbava, o relâmpago fuzilava e a terra tremia.
6 The seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.
Os sete anjos—[cada um ]dos quais segurava [uma ]das sete trombetas—prepararam-se para tocar.
7 The first sounded, and there followed hail and fire, mixed with blood, and they were thrown to the earth. One third of the earth was burned up, and one third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up.
Quando o primeiro anjo tocou sua trombeta, foi derramados {caíram} sobre a terra fogo e uma chuva de pedras misturada com sangue. [Como resultado], um terço [de tudo sobre a superfície ]da terra foi queimado {[o fogo ]queimou uma terça parte de [tudo sobre a superfície da ]terra}. 8 The second angel sounded, and something like a great burning mountain was thrown into the sea. One third of the sea became blood,
Quando o segundo anjo tocou sua trombeta, algo como uma grande montanha de fogo ardente caiu no mar. [Como resultado, ]um terço do mar ficou [vermelho como ][MET] sangue,
9 and one third of the living creatures which were in the sea died. One third of the ships were destroyed.
morreu uma terça parte dos bichos marítimos, e foi destruído um terço dos navios [no mar].
10 The third angel sounded, and a great star fell from the sky, burning like a torch, and it fell on one third of the rivers, and on the springs of water.
Quando o terceiro anjo tocou sua trombeta, uma grande estrela, chamejante como uma tocha, caiu do céu em cima de uma terça parte dos rios e [uma terça parte ]das fontes.
11 The name of the star is “Wormwood.” One third of the waters became wormwood. Many people died from the waters, because they were made bitter.
A estrela se chama Amargura. [Como resultado, ]ficou amarga a água de um terço [dos rios e fontes, ]e muitas pessoas morreram por [terem bebido ]a água amargurada.
12 The fourth angel sounded, and one third of the sun was struck, and one third of the moon, and one third of the stars, so that one third of them would be darkened; and the day wouldn’t shine for one third of it, and the night in the same way.
Quando o quarto anjo tocou [sua trombeta, Deus ]feriu o sol, a lua e as estrelas, passando eles a perder uma terça parte da sua luz. O [sol ]deixou de brilhar durante uma terça parte do dia e [a lua e as estrelas deixaram de brilhar durante uma terça parte ]da noite.
13 I saw, and I heard an eagle, flying in mid heaven, saying with a loud voice, “Woe! Woe! Woe to those who dwell on the earth, because of the other blasts of the trumpets of the three angels, who are yet to sound!”
Enquanto eu ficava olhando, ouvi uma águia que voava bem alto no céu e gritava em voz alta: “Acontecerão coisas terríveis aos [rebeldes ]humanos que moram na terra, como resultado de [o que acontecera ]quando os três anjos remanescentes tocarem suas trombetas! Já estão para tocá-las agora!”
