Revelation 4

1 After these things I looked and saw a door opened in heaven; and the first voice that I heard, like a trumpet speaking with me, was one saying, “Come up here, and I will show you the things which must happen after this.”

Après cela, je regardai, et voici qu'une porte était ouverte dans le ciel; et la première voix que j'avais entendue me parler comme si c'était le son d'une trompette, me dit: Monte ici, et je te ferai voir ce qui doit arriver dans la suite.

2 Immediately I was in the Spirit. Behold, there was a throne set in heaven, and one sitting on the throne

Aussitôt, je fus ravi en esprit; je vis un trône dressé dans le ciel, et sur ce trône quelqu'un était assis.

3 that looked like a jasper stone and a sardius. There was a rainbow around the throne, like an emerald to look at.

Celui qui était assis avait l'éclat d'une pierre de jaspe et de sardoine; et le trône était environné d'un arc-en-ciel ayant un aspect semblable à celui de l'émeraude.

4 Around the throne were twenty-four thrones. On the thrones were twenty-four elders sitting, dressed in white garments, with crowns of gold on their heads.

Autour de ce trône, il y avait vingt-quatre trônes; et sur ces trônes, je vis vingt-quatre vieillards assis, vêtus de vêtements blancs, et sur leurs têtes des couronnes d'or.

5 Out of the throne proceed lightnings, sounds, and thunders. There were seven lamps of fire burning before his throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

Du trône sortent des éclairs, des voix et des tonnerres; et sept lampes ardentes brûlent devant le trône: ce sont les sept esprits de Dieu.

6 Before the throne was something like a sea of glass, similar to crystal. In the middle of the throne, and around the throne were four living creatures full of eyes before and behind.

Devant le trône il y a comme une mer transparente, semblable à du cristal, et au milieu du trône et autour du trône, quatre animaux ayant des yeux partout, devant et derrière.

7 The first creature was like a lion, the second creature like a calf, the third creature had a face like a man, and the fourth was like a flying eagle.

Le premier animal ressemble à un lion; le second ressemble à un taureau; le troisième a le visage semblable à celui d'un homme; et le quatrième ressemble à un aigle qui vole.

8 The four living creatures, each one of them having six wings, are full of eyes around and within. They have no rest day and night, saying, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come!”

Ces quatre animaux ont chacun six ailes, et sont couverts d'yeux tout à l'entour et au-dedans; et ils ne cessent de dire, jour et nuit: Saint, saint, saint est le Seigneur Dieu, le Tout-Puissant, qui était, qui est, et qui vient!

9 When the living creatures give glory, honor, and thanks to him who sits on the throne, to him who lives forever and ever, (aiōn g165)

Pendant que les animaux rendent gloire, honneur et actions de grâces à celui qui est assis sur le trône, et qui vit aux siècles des siècles, — (aiōn g165)

10 the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever, and throw their crowns before the throne, saying, (aiōn g165)

les vingt-quatre vieillards se prosternent devant Celui qui est assis sur le trône, et adorent Celui qui vit aux siècles des siècles; et ils jettent leurs couronnes devant le trône, en disant: (aiōn g165)

11 “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, the Holy One, to receive the glory, the honor, and the power, for you created all things, and because of your desire they existed and were created!”

Tu es digne, toi, notre Seigneur et notre Dieu, de recevoir la gloire, l'honneur et la puissance; car tu as créé toutes choses, et c'est par ta volonté qu'elles existent et qu'elles ont été créées.
